We had the best time gathering for my parents’ 60th anniversary. The first time for all 3 kids and our families and extended family to be all together in a very long time. The property was a beautiful location for summer photos to capture our special event, and the group of 12 of us that stayed in the house for the weekend had plenty of space to spread out and gather together. We enjoyed the cows coming near the fence and got some fun pictures with them in the background.
Balaji was an incredible property manager - easy to get ahold of, quick to respond, and accommodating with our needs (even those that arose last minute). Anything that needed attention was quickly addressed and remedied. Everyone commented that their beds were incredibly comfortable, they’ve invested in quality mattresses - even on the bunk beds. And there was plenty of hot water for our large group. Even in July, breakfast and chatting over coffee on the back porch was pleasant and relaxing. Lots of grasshoppers at this time of year, had some flies to swat and saw some spiders to keep out, but we surprisingly didn’t get eaten up by mosquitoes during a day full of photos out in the field!
I hope to find an opportunity to gather together with either friends or family in Sherman again sometime, and I know exactly where we should stay.
8 of our family cousins had a great time at the Preston Ranch as we gathered for crafting and fun family time. Plenty of comfortable beds, peaceful country setting, and well equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals. Check in process was easy and host was very responsive to our questions. 4 amazing bathrooms were perfect for 8 women over a weekend. The large living room was a perfect place to gather with plenty of room to set up our tables for quilt blocks and crafts.
The cousins have already requeated to return next year for our 3rd Cousin Camp!
I was getting married to my now husband, so we decided to stay at this property. It was beautiful, lots of land and quiet. We had an amazing couple of days. The property owner was very responsive to any and all questions I had. Would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for family and friends to get together and celebrate a special occasion. Host was very responsive with any questions. Would definitely go back.
Property was easy to access and is isolated with pretty views of the countryside. If you’re looking for somewhere to get away and relax this could be it. Very peaceful.
My family and I stayed at this beautiful property for our family gathering. We really enjoyed the open space of the ranch home and especially the pool table!
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best (rainy and cold), however we were able to have a good time indoors and relax during our stay!
We will most definitely come back in the spring/summer to enjoy the outdoors!
Host was extremely nice, responsive and accommodating!
My family and I greatly appreciate him and thankful for being a fantastic host! Thank you!!!
We needed a place for our family to stay while we attended our nieces wedding at a nearby venue. This house had plenty of room for the grandparents, an aunt some cousins and my kids. We put my 80 year old parents in the master bedroom. There were no stairs to get to this room, it had a walk in shower and a large tv. It was perfect for them. The rest of us spread out with beds left over. It was so nice having a gas grill, and a large yard for tossing the ball. We loved the friendly horse in the pasture behind the house (we named her Bullet, after OSU's horse). Because we all came from different directions we had many cars. This was not an issue, there was tons of space for parking and no issue getting out whichever car was needed. If you are attending a wedding at one of the many nearby venues this house suited us perfectly.
We enjoyed our stay while preparing for, going to and relaxing after our son's wedding at a nearby venue.
Host was very accommodating and responsive to every request/communications.
The family and I really enjoyed the home.It is very spacious and clean didn't have any problem while there and most definitely will be looking to rent the home again in the near future. Oh and the host of the home is always ready to answer any questions you may have.
We really liked this beautiful property. The place was so roomy that our dinner guests and family were able to disperse after dinner and visit without having to raise voices. Everyone had a great time.
The house is located in the country and the area is very quiet, yet the city is just a short trip away. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Thank you so much for letting us stay there.
The house was very clean, spacious and roomy.. We stayed for a month and our son, daughter-in-law & 3 grandchildren came also for a week stay. We had plenty of bedrooms for all of us. Grandchildren enjoyed the pool table and basketball hoop. Also had lots of room outside to play caught with there baseballs and gloves. We were able to bicycle in the yard and along the road because it wasn’t to busy with traffic. We’re thinking of coming back for another stay.
The property manager was a great communicator - thanks Balaji! My family had a wonderful time, and the flow of the property was perfect for our get together. We loved seeing the horses and cows just outside of the property boundaries.
This property and all communications with the owner far exceeded our expectations. My group of 5 guys, who grew up together but has since moved to other parts of the country, has been having annual outings for almost 20 years. This house is the best one we've stayed at in all that time. It has everything we look for when we plan these trips. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials. All the appliances work. The back yard with it's covered porch and fire pit added to our enjoyment. Having the pool table was nice, too.
The process of booking the place and communicating with the owner was flawless. I do have a couple of suggestions for the owner. First, I'd have the lawn mowed prior to your guests arriving. We spent a lot of time in the back yard, and the grass was too high. Second, I'd have the key pad that opens the gate accessible without getting out of the car. We had to have someone get out of the car each time we entered the compound. Other than these two nitpicking items, the place and the stay rates a 5 out of 5!
We enjoyed the large home and it had plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed "having breakfast with the cows" as we sat on the back porch with our morning coffee and ate breakfast. It is very relaxing. We all enjoyed the pool table and the living room is large enough for everyone to visit. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the country life and would stay here again. The owner was very responsive.
The location was perfect for us. We wanted to be close to family in Sherman but enjoyed being in the country. The kids loved watching the cattle just outside the back fence. The house is huge with lots of room for the family to spread out. Balaji was very helpful and responsive to our requests.
