The unit offers a large open space for enjoyable social gatherings and views of the mountain. The common area has oak hardwood flooring, and the bedrooms are floored with laminate/carpet. A front porch offers additional space for relaxing and entertaining, and the adjacent "nest" deck (shared by both houses) provides wonderful views of the mountains. The living area includes a convertible sofa that sleeps 2 comfortably on a new Ikea sleeper sofa. Bed linens for the convertible are stored in the sofa.
The bedrooms on the main floor have new memory foam queen size beds. The main level also provides a full bath with tub/shower combo, and an additional half bath. The quaint upstairs loft has full size bed and a half bath. All the furnishings and linens are new!
There are two houses on the property and we offer special discounts for renting both houses, check with me for details. There is a pet fee of $25 per pet. The fee will be collected via separate payment request.
In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 72 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees.
Just 2 miles from the property, nestled in the rising foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains next to the Potomac River sits the Victorian railroad town of Brunswick. Conveniently located approximately 60 minutes from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Brunswick boasts glorious homes, an active city center, shopping, historical sites, a one of a kind railroad museum, dining and recreational activities. Brunswick is very proud of its rich transportation heritage and you can experience it for yourself by visiting the Brunswick Railroad Museum or participating in Brunswick Railroad Days in October, featuring live entertainment, train rides, model train show, crafters, food, and much more. Because the Potomac River is only a short walk from the downtown shops, recreational opportunities abound. The waterfront offers fishing, boating, camping, kayaking and canoeing, and the C&O Canal towpath is excellent for hikers, bikers and horseback riders. Finally, no visit to Brunswick is complete without stopping by Beans in the Belfry, a café located in a 100 year old, historic, restored church building nestled in downtown Brunswick.
