About this property

Captains Watch 9, located right on Butler Avenue on the South End of Tybee. Stay in the heart of Tybee's downtown business area. Walk to your favorite local restaurants and to the beach and Tybee's Pier & Pavilion. Take a short walk to the ocean for some beach and wave action.

Located on the second floor, there is an elevator from the covered private parking garage. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is tastefully decorated. The open plan living area is comfortably furnished with a sleeper sofa and loveseat and a large flat-screen TV. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and stainless appliances, a Keurig coffee maker to brew a fresh cup of coffee, and a breakfast bar with seating for 3 - making it a perfect space to start your day. The adjacent dining room is bright and has a dining table for 4 with access to the balcony. Enjoy morning coffee or evening sunset cocktails at the outdoor dining table for 4.

The primary bedroom has a King Size bed, TV, and an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual vanities. The guest bedroom is furnished with a Queen size bed and TV. The adjoining guest bathroom has a tub and shower combination. The guest suite can be closed off from the hall, which provides an added sense of privacy for guests.

Local favorite restaurant, Sting-Rays, is on the same side of the street on the same block, and for breakfast, be sure to try The Breakfast Club or Sunrise, both just a short distance away. This condo is a great spot to stay during local events that happen on the South end of Tybee.

Reserved garage parking for 2 cars (Oversized SUVs and Trucks may not fit.) High-speed Internet/WIFI is available for guest use. Handicap friendly (elevator building). The rooftop pool is open for the summer season, and closed from September to May.

Nice Stay

Our stay was nice. Property was clean although had a strong fish odor when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. It was mostly quiet with only some occasional noise coming from the street below. My only negative comments would be the parking garage below the building is really tight. If you have a SUV it is a snug fit. I had large SUV’s on both sides of my parking spot and had a terrible time getting in and out of my assigned spot. The other negative comment is the building “security”. There are cameras in the garage and stairs but each floor is accessible by anyone. The elevator to get to your floor is accessible by anyone. As a mom and daughter traveling alone it did give me pause everytime we had to come or go. No issues and the unit had a secure lock - we were just a little uneasy in the halls, stairs and elevator.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. We are 30 plus year old friends. We just needed a getaway from husbands and adult children . We liked the walks to everything. We laughed a lot and really enjoyed the space. It was a little Dark in the hallway. It could have been our 50, 60 something eyes. We would do it AGAIN. Catherine Berner

Lack of Customer Service/Communication

The instructions stated the unit was on the 2nd floor, it was on the 3rd. We parked in the designated spot, received a text that we need to move our car out of slot 8, we were in slot 9. Overall the unit was not cleaned well, we arrived to find the Master Bedroom bed soaked through - so disgusting. We sent email and text, no response, but they sent housekeeping to bring us clean linens. The refrigerator started making a consistent noise, reported, no response, the AC unit stopped working, reported, no response. The instructions to the lock the door was incorrect. The pool was dirty and the unit was unclean. I would never recommend this place. However, the location is ideal for shopping, beach and restaurants.

Great Beach Condo

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the condo. Easy beach access and walk-ability and excellent communication throughout. Wish there had been one more comfy seating option in the living room, but the condo was adorable and well-stocked. As advertised, the parking spots are small. Would recommend and return again.

Loved this place

My friend and I enjoyed this condo so much. The location was right in the midst of restaurants and a quick one-block walk to the beach. The pier was super close. Everything you would need was provided. Questions were answered quickly. ***Pack your belongings in smaller, lighter bags. You will need to bring them up a few steps regardless of whether or not the elevator is working; the configuration of the floors requires it. You'll be very glad you did. 🙂

Nice and Clean Condo!

This condo was great! It had everything we needed for me, my husband and our 20 year old son. The beach is a short 2 block walk, and it is right by the pier with lots of shops and restaurants. There were blackout curtains in both rooms and a nice sized t.v. It’s not the cutest we’ve ever stayed at, but definitely nice and clean. I would highly recommend it.

Everything was fine....just the second room had no internet connection .

Also the couch sleeping bed was broken, and the pull out carts was old and uncomfortable.....the bedding need to be replaced and TV in 2nd room need to have internet connection. Also the cleaning need to be better the kitchen chairs are white but they where not to clean.

Good location, poor sleep

The property was well situated on the island with a couple good restaurants and beach shops nearby. The beach shops were a necessity as no beach gear (towels, chairs, etc) are provided. There was no lock/security on the door coming into the building leading into dimly lit areas which felt a bit unsafe and exposed to the public. The unit itself was clean and the living area, kitchen and balcony were nice. However, the spring mattresses in the bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable and the airline like pillows made it for a poor night’ sleep, something that is much desired after a day on the beach.

Accurate to the listing. Good location near multiple good places to eat, the beach and the pier. The only complaint is parking was a bit tight in the garage and sometimes people take your spot. Still deserves very high rating overall.

Restful vacation

Photos are not accurate as size is smaller. Second bedroom has bed against the wall so one must crawl out to go to bathroom. Washer and dryer could use an update. Pool area was nice and the beach was very peaceful. Great place if you are looking to relax.

Takin' a break in Tybee

Tybee is such a laid back island. We were well pleased with this condo. Very clean and tastefully decorated. We rented a golf cart for the time we were there and loved it! No parking fees for us! Thank you for sharing your condo with us.
