Its ok...old property and it shows.
Its old inside and less spacious than photos lead you to believe. The shower/tub drain was clogged with hair, so much that showering left you in shin deep water. How was the tub cleaned and this was not noticed? $23 and a trip to the hardware store in Rutland solved a problem that i shouldnt have had to. Bedroom is tiny. You could not open the closet without hitting the bed. Carpet was dingy and wet. Location is great and the property mgmt company has check in perfected. Definitely not an outstanding property...just ok.
This condo is very close to the Killington Snowshed parking lot. On the weekends there is a shuttle available and if the snow coverage is good you can ski back on an access trail from the Snowshed green run. During the week it's a very short drive to park.
The condo is not large and can be tight given four adults (or you just get really comfortable with each other) but it is well set-up given the available space. Kitchen is appropriately stocked.
Generally could be updated (carpet was old for example) but the beds were comfortable.
The shower isn't great. Generally the hot water isn't as hot as our group would have liked, the water pressure is sort of low, and the tub doesn't drain quickly so you end up standing in a quarter inch of water by the end of your shower.
It's worth noting this condo is on the bottom floor so it requires a few flights of stairs if that bothers you.
Having said all that, the stay was a good experience. For the cost, this condo is a good value proposition for a family with a 1-4 kids or a group of 2-4 adults who value being close to the resort.
The affordability & location of this property is good for a crew wanting to be close to Killington to ski for a few days. The place was smaller than we thought so after a few days it felt a little cramped for a family of 4 with older kids (teen & tween). Especially with them sharing a room with two huge bunk beds and little room to move around them.
There are a couple of drawers/cabinets that open up into the fridge so they don't open entirely which is strange for a newly renovated property.
There also was no storage for skis inside provided so we had to keep everything in the car overnight unless you felt ok keeping the gear in the hallway which we didn't.
Overall, we thought the condo provided us with what we needed for a quick ski trip, but as the kids get older, we would seek out a property with more space.
The community and the apartment are a little old and dated. Having said that, it was very clean and looked exactly like the photos, so no surprises. Everything worked. Free laundry with high-quality machines in the next building. This condo is downstairs; there are three short flights of stairs to the front door. The location is very good - you do need a car for the short 3 min drive to the Killington ski area. No shuttles were working when we were there (Thanksgiving) so can't comment on that. Also lots of hiking and open wooded spaces around, even though we did not have time for this.
There are more upscale options but at a much higher price. Check-in / check-out with the property manager (Killington Group) was flawless. Very good experience.
We had a great ski weekend staying at Whiffletree.
We had a wonderful experience with easy access to the slopes. Restaurants were close by and access was very easy. We would stay at this property again.
The property is close to Killington and the shuttle stops at the end of the parking lot. A stop and your at Snowshed base. There are a lot of stairs to access with no elevator which could be an issue for some and with loading and unloading. Overall the stay was pleasant and quiet even with neighbors above and next to which we rarely heard. Comfortable for 6 but may get a little tight with 8 and using the pull out couch.
Check in is easy and on the way to the property. Very responsive when we had questions.

Whiffletree C2
Condo was convenient for travel to/from Killington. Do not feel ski in / ski out description is accurate given distance and terrain. We drove to slopes every day. Condo was comfortable, but in need of some renovations regarding bed / mattress and carpeting. Additionally, kitchen is not stocked with essentials like salt & pepper shakers, sheet pan and very few pots and pans.

Not ski in ski out
This property is about a mile walk from the lift - not ski in ski out. There was no shuttle bus available as it only runs on weekends and Christmas and we skied wednesday-friday. Property was fine but the property listing could use some honesty.
Online advertised air conditioning there was none, damp dingy and smelled like an old basement. There was a dehumidifier that needed to be emptied minimum of 3 times a day
