Come enjoy a great gateway. Home on the lake! This house (Hardwood Floors throughout) is located on Lake Huron, very clean 3 bedroom house 1,500sf. Only 1.5 hrs driving from Metro Detroit. we have over 100 feet of private sandy beach on Lake Huron. Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly rental available. Weekly rental include the use of our 3 Bedroom house. The house is furnished with log beds and new mattresses. It accommodates up to 10 people. Please call for availability. The house is located 16 miles north of Lexington, Michigan on Lake Huron that offers views of the sunrise. The shallow water is crystal clear and offers the best fishing experience. The private beach to enjoy is right out your front door with 2 decks - Grill - Sandy Beach -Fire pit on beach-- Great Fishing. Enjoy all the comforts of a home for your next vacation without the high cost. over 100 feet beach so you dont have be close with any neighbors.

Quiet Beachfront House

My husband, 5 year old, pups and I recently stayed at this property and enjoyed every minute of our vacation. Clean home, plenty of room to sleep and hang out. The best part was the the view and access to the beach right out the back door. Our stay was quite with no neighbors on one side of the property. We had the beach to ourselves the whole visit. Bring water shoes as its rocky close to shore but soon smooths out. Check in was easy, host was responsive. If you are looking for a quaint place to staythis is the spot.

Perfect cottage for couple get-away with our pups!

We had such a relaxing time staying at this cottage! The view of the water from the back deck was beautiful, everything was very clean, and the bed was super comfy. The host made sure we had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

Nice lakeside property

Quiet location on the lakefront with easily accessible private beach. Beautiful views. Kitchen well equipped with cooking utensils and cookware. Has both a gas grill and charcoal grill available. Nice deck. Quaint towns within a short drive.

Lakeside dreamy

This was a great place to stay! Right on the water and could have just sat on the beach listening to the waves all day. We wanted an outdoor adventure with lots of beach walking, rock hunting, and beach glass finding. We found just that and so many other parks nearby that you can go to as well.

Beautiful sunrise every morning

Concerns about exposed nails on the deck as it wouldn't be kid friendly I expect the owner is making improvements that will make it better. For me, it was a beach cottage experience. I embraced the quirks.

Our Take on It

The appeal of this shorefront cottage is the location right on Lake Huron with long beach frontage. The kitchen and bathroom have been remodeled but other updates are needed. The host is very responsive. We appreciated him allowing our dogs to accompany us on our first visit to this part of Lake Huron. The area is beautiful. Overall, the cottage is "not fancy" as other reviewers have noted. There are issues with deferred maintenance that affect the deck, the front door and and access to the beach. George said those issues will be addressed and when they are the cottage will truly be a gem on the water. The noise from the road is real but the view and access to the shoreline make up for it.

House could use some love

Location is wonderful and the beach is very nice! However, house could use some serious love. The paint is peeling off the deck, one of the gates on the deck broke when we barely touched it, the steps are super sketchy… There’s some places in the home that feel like they were half-flipped and then forgotten about. Also you get blinded by headlights when on the deck at night.

Picture Perfect

The best part of this cottage is the view and the ability to walk for miles along the beach. Had some great sunrises and moon rises to enjoy. The cottage is not fancy but we didn’t go to sit inside.

Nice house on a beautiful stretch of beach

We had a great week at this rental, the beach was the highlight being right on the water. We brought water shoes like someone suggested which was a very good idea, but just walking the shore looking for treasures you dont need them. Definitely a return trip in the future!

A well gem

We went for a week in late July. The weather was amazing, but not too hot. The beach is amazing. You do need water shoes. They are sandy and rocky. You can walk for miles on these beaches and never see more than a few people. The sunrises are epic and in late July you can spot a moonrise too. The steps are steep and slanted, if that’s not your cup, take the beautiful terraced hillside down to the beach. The house is well loved. Plenty of beds and clean. As one guest said, it’s not fancy, but comfortable and who needs fancy at the lake. It has everything you need. The AC upstairs and in the downstairs bedroom does the job, and evenings are cooler and comfortable. Open the windows and let the sound of the surf do its thing. If townlife is important to you, Sanilac and Lexington are for the most part Thursday-Monday towns. We tend to summer in different places, but we’d go back to this house in a minute. It’s a well loved gem.

Perfect relaxing trip

This is our second time staying. It would have been our 3rd but it was already rented when we came up 2 years ago. There have been improvements since our first stay, which was great- the kitchen was updated and the air conditioner unit in the master bedroom upstairs was added. It has a perfect sandy beach for relaxing and for children to swim. The bottom is very shallow so my kids enjoyed wading out to the sandbar when the water was like glass and jumping the waves closer to shore when it wasn't. My husband and I love walking the beach looking for fossils and interesting rocks (you will want to bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet). It feels very private but everyone we ran into walking the beach was extremely friendly. Port Sanilac and Lexington are close towns with cute shops and restaurants. We love it there and hope to stay again soon!

Location, location, location

We loved it and cant wait to go back. It aint fancy but the location cannot be beat. U can walk along the beach for days- just bring ur water shoes cause the beach is rocky. The neighbors r quiet and there were very few ppl on the beach WHICH WAS SOOO NICE! We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms and the window a/cs kept them cool at nite. Like other reviewers mentioned, the stairs to the beach look a little rickety but we went up and down them at least100 times with coolers, beach toys, towels AND a dog without issue! Its a great little cottage in a fabulous location.

Cute getaway

Super cute cabin and was exactly what we needed. Inside of cabin is cute and the property is great. Only issue we had was the deck. Gates to the deck need to be fixed and a lot of the stairs down to the water don't feel safe so we used the yard to get down to the beach.

Clean and cozy. The view was absolutely amazing. Check in was very easy and quick. The location is very quiet but not to far from the local market. Over all we had an amazing time for my boyfriends birthday. Would defiantly recommend!

A nice stay

We had to travel for a funeral and this was a nice option within a 40 minute drive to the church service. It was very nice coming back to a warm home and beautiful views of Lake Huron vs a hotel parking lot😁 George was very responsive to any questions or concerns. If you go in the Winter you better have 4WD to get into and out of the driveway. George made sure to check with us beforehand to ensure we were arriving up a vehicle that could handle Michigan Winters. ❄️ Looking forward to a Summer stay.
