Absolute beachfront location with ocean views - pet friendly

Bay Beach House is perched on a sand dune with spectacular views of the sparkling, clear, blue waters of Peppermint Grove Beach. Walk down to the beach, which is literally on your doorstep, and you can enjoy the long wide stretch of white sand and safe swimming, snorkelling and fantastic fishing just perfect for families. It's not unusual to see a pod of dolphins frolicking in the water in front of you. The beach house has a wide wraparound veranda which is ideal for entertaining or watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean, concrete floors perfect (and sensible) for its beachside location, and is very comfortably furnished throughout with everything you need for your holiday. Even though it is Pet Friendly the property is unfenced.

Amazing location but this place is not very clean
Overall it was a good experience - the proximity to the ocean is truly special, as are the views on to it from the living/kitchen space. However it was spoiled by how dirty the rooms are - particularly the sleeping areas. It was lovely having the cozy woodheater in the lounge. But be prepared - you do need to pay for your own wood (!)

We loved it!!
We loved everything about our stay, from the OUTSTANDING view, the fab and funky house, and the brilliant communication with the propert manager Lorena who was responsive, helpful and so lovely to deal with. The house had everything we needed. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks so much!!

Little piece of paradise
The location of the house is incredible, the view is even better than the pictures. We got to see dolphins every morning, sunsets and we were lucky to see a moonset and a few shooting stars from the back deck too. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The beds, pillows and linen were perfect. There is also a warm outdoor shower that made the whole family happy. Our two young boys didn't complain about showering once! (a feat in our family). The access to the beach is very close as well, and the beach itself is spectacular. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to have this experience and to the property managers for kind and fast responses to our messages. We had a wonderful couple of days.

Beautiful spot and a nice property overall.
There was no wood for the pot belly stove as other reviews have complained. When I complained I was told if I wanted wood I should go and buy some with no offer to cover any of the cost. I also said there is no kindling. The manager told me to cut some. When I said I am 71 and not able to she told me to buy some. Also the tv doesn't work and there is no extractor fan above the stove so when you cook the house fills up with the smoke.

We stayed for a weekend and were very pleased with the location for views, beach access and peace and quiet. The house was well equipped and clean with plenty of space for 2 adults 2 teenagers and a dog. The dog had to be closely supervised outside as there was no enclosed area and threat of snakes etc, but it wasn’t a big problem for us. Great, easy stay to unwind for the weekend.

The location of this property is perfect as pictured. The house itself is in need of some TLC. Many of the taps leaked and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was noisy. Although there was a wood burner, there was no wood. The floor was not cleaned and there were dishes left in the dish strainer. Contact with the agent swiftly remedied the cleanliness, which was appreciated. Overall disappointed with the state of the property, however some maintenance would go a long way to making this a much more comfortable stay.

Great location and great property
Beds doubles rather than queen so a little small for my partner who is over 6ft. Pot belly fire and choice of sofas and sitting areas was great! Amazing view and outdoor area. Has a great stay.

Weekend getaway
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend with Peppermint Grove Beach as our base. The house was lovely, the beach was beautiful. The downside were the beds. They were so uncomfortable. Invest in some mattress toppers. Your patrons will thank you for it! Thanks for a great weekend.

Perfect.
We were all very impressed with the presentation, location and overall feel of the property. Situated right on the beach front, it was glorious to wake up to the waves crashing and see the sun set each night. If I had to fault anything, it would be the indoor sun bed lounges... not overly comfortable but fortunately we didn't spend much time on them! Thank you for a great stay :)

Nice place with stunning views
The place was very nice. Stunning ocean views (we even saw dolphins!) and nice large living room and open kitchen with every device you need. Just a electronically heating device would have been great since the fire place alone was not strong enough to heat the house during the colder nights. And the place could have been cleaner inside.

Recharge Weekend
We had a great stay at Bay Beach House recharging the batteries. The weather was average but Peppi is always great. Kids and dogs loved the walks on the beach. The house has everything you need to chill and keep warm with the wood fire.

Excellent location but ......
The location of Bay Beach house is stunning. but first impressions were disappointing. The property looked derelict and uncared from outside and inside cobwebs abounded around furniture and on walls along with numerous holes in walls and split panelling in a door. The living areas proved to be well equipped but the bedrooms were too basic. No drawers and/or shelves in wardrobe for clothing and the bunk bed had no guard rail on the upper bunk or proper ladder to get up there. We had notified Seaside Homes that we expected 2 and 3 year olds but no high chairs for example. The booking process was confusing. We thought we were dealing with Stayz who we had used before but it became apparent that everything was handled by Seaside Homes. They asked for a deposit on Nov 30 but took the full amount!. We heard nothing from them until after we complained about lack of info on Jan 20 which led to us getting the registration process started almost two months late! Generally would rate Seaside Homes as poor...very unresponsive to emails ( for example wrote on first day of our visit about first impressions and have still had no response or acknowledgement!) and unsure about the quality standards they apply to home on their books. All that said, we got stuck in and enjoyed our holiday. Overall had a sense that the owners have not been paying enough attention to important details for what is an expensive rental.
