Bright freshly renovated 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor (stair access only) with amazing sea views.
The apartment has a beachy vibe with free Wi-Fi and Netflix on the Smart TV in the living area and a second Smart TV with Netflix in the second bedroom for the kids. There are board games, toys and sporting equipment for the beach along with snorkling gear and a beach umbrella.

Perfect apartment for our stay

We had a lovely stay. Being on the top floor there was no noise which was great. Only one Street back from Beach which was fantastic as I love to walk. We also loved being right near the train station so didn’t need the car. Overall a lovely break.

Nice apartment, but….

Nice apartment. Not for small children or elderly. Stairs are dangerous. The doors need to be fixed. Security and main door. Both the locks and the tracks… we struggled to get into the property. After the locksmith came and fixed the security door we still had problems. However, we were on the 4 floor and felt confident no one was coming up the stairs to break into a holiday rental. The windows need to cleaned. The view would be magnificent. The host was very helpful when we had an issue.

Beautiful Stay at Grange Beach

Everything was available to make this a memorable stay for us. Yes there’s a climb of a few sets of stairs but once you’ve arrived it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

Great location!

Compact and comfortable with everything we needed. Beach towels and coffee machine much appreciated. Clean windows to look out at the fabulous view would have made it perfect.

It was disappointing with so much luggage to find that we had 6 flights of stairs to climb to reach our apartment. The apartment itself was terrific for what we needed but the stairs and the parking was a bit ordinary. Definitely need to show the steps in your online advertising - it is very negligent not to. We struggled with our baggage going up and down but you must consider older tenants.

At the Beach in Adelaide

A wonderful week here, close to Train and Bus meant we didn't need a car. Only challenge was the restoration going on next door, with the tradies singing along to the radio early in the morning. Good thing about that is they are nearly finished so unlikely to have anything similar for many years to come. Thank you for a great stay

Central Location, Great for short Stay!

The Apartment was comfortable for our family of 4. Second bedroom can accommodate 2-3 kids with bunk. Central bathroom with washer/dryer convenient including shampoo, soaps and heaps of towels! Kitchen was functional and included Pantry items. Beds were comfortable. Sadly the second TV in the kids bedroom didn't work, but the main TV did & includes Netflix. Beware of the stairs. Clearly communicated in the description and a reality when you have to carry many bags up & down. The onsite car park is convenient, despite the very steep driveway access (eek!) plentiful parking off street. Close Walking distance to the grange hotel and beach, likewise to local take-aways. Short 5min drive to local supermarkets and Henely beach. Location was quiet and ideal for us. Apartment is slightly older style, but owners have done a great job to modernise and provide creature comforts. Owners were easy to coomunicate with and mostly prompt & helpful.

Family stay

Lovely location in Grange and not too far to walk to the beautiful beach. We stayed for 4 nights as a family. We struggled to find the parking but once located it was nice to have a park. Cafe at the beach and eateries close by. We could also walk to the train station within 5 minutes. The stairs were tricky with luggage and the low height of the stair entry. The views from the balcony were lovely, not directly to the beach but has parts of the beach and city. We watched a thunderstorm roll in and cruise ships departing on the horizon. The balcony is a shared balcony too so need to be mindful of the other tenants and there was bee's hive in the apartment wall next to us that possibly will be an issue later down the track. We found the apartment to have everything we needed; the air con was great and kept us cool. However, the whole place does need a good deep clean and the main bedroom mattress either needs replaced or flipped as its sunken in the middle. A blind in the second bedroom would also be beneficial. After a decent clean and tending to the wear and tear would bring this little apartment back from a 3-star rating for us. Overall, the value for money was good. Thank you

Great Location and friendly owners

This was a lovely place to stay and felt just like home for us. The location was exceptional with amazing views and quiet town. The accommodations were perfect for us but would not recommend for anyone who struggles with stairs as there is no lift and its on the 4th floor. This of course did not bother myself and my 15 year old. There is plenty of basic supplies as well as the including some welcome wine and milk. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location

Great location only minutes walk from Grange beach, jetty, and local hotel for dinner at night. Nice views from the breakfast window in the morning. As the listing states, it is on the fourth floor with only stair access so if you're not mobile, it wouldn't be suitable. The views make the stairs worth it. Ample kitchen/bathroom needs. Great lounge area to relax in after a long day. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but I think that's personal preference. Further, the shower head is at a very low height, making it difficult to wash your hair etc without squatting to get underneath it. Bathroom/laundry needed a deep clean, not just wiping around items. Overall, for the location it was good value for money.

Fantastic summer stay

Perfect summer holidays at 242 steps. Property had everything we needed and more. Loved the area and the location, drama-free parking very close to the beach. One of the best stays we have had in Adelaide, hands down. Highly recommended.

Lovely top floor apartment

The place was in a great location. It was a very short walk to Grange square and jetty. Grange was a beautiful beach. The apartment was thoughtfully equipped providing a lovely atmosphere and plenty of beach towels, bath towels and beach toys for the kids. Kitchen also very well equipped. Beds very comfortable.

A great place to self-isolate!

Coming from interstate for a funeral & needing to self-isolate until test results returned, we greatly appreciated the beach & sky views, well appointed unit with all we required. Communication with owner prompt, helpful & caring. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice surprise.

Loved our stay at 242 Steps to the beach. Belinda's pre-arrival information was excellent making arriving super easy. Also very accommodating when our flights were cancelled and changed. Great location, views are stunning, apartment is lovely and homely with everything you need. I will definitely be staying here when in Adelaide next!

Perfect, peaceful getaway

The location of this little apartment was perfect for the beach, a nice variety of little eating venues, the jetty, the hotel, mini supermarket, a short drive to major shopping precincts. The 2 of us had adequate space and amenities in this nicely appointed unit. Whilst stairs were the only option for the 4th floor unit, it was not an arduous climb. Belinda was thorough and welcoming and the whole experience was seamless.

Neat and nicely decorated

Lovely little apartment, well located and equipped. Belinda was very responsive and check-in easy. Short walk to nice beachside cafe and the beautiful promenade that takes you north or south to Henley and Glenelg and their multitude of cafes and restaurants. Only minor complaint was the state of the building’s stairs. Not very clean and twice my husband banged his head on a low beam leaving the stairwell. He is 6ft tall but some hazard tape or warning sign would be good.

Why they chose this property

Growing up our annual family holiday was always at the Beach in Adelaide, about a block away from our place. We had such great times in this part of the world that when the opportunity arose, we thought it was perfect place to provide a space where families can create their holiday memories with endless sunset walks on the beach.

What makes this property unique

Having stayed in a lot of BnBs we have tried to create a space that is calming and relaxing but remains functionable. We have tried to include everything from cooking equipment and coffee machine to a washing machine so that your holiday experience is complete.
