A Great Spot for a Getaway!
Back in the day was perfect for our visit to the PA Grand Canyon. Located near the parks and the lovely Wellsboro town center , the home was spotless, well -equipped and spacious. The front porch provided a great spot for enjoying the gorgeous weather we had. The hosts live next door but respected our privacy while being available to acclimate us to the house- we hope to return!

A Wellsboro Welcome!
Gary and Lori are perfect hosts for their property in Wellsboro PA. The charming house is located so that you can get to town, hiking, the PA Grand Canyon and bike trails within minutes. There is detailed information about the area which the hosts provided, and they are very willing to share more if asked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Gary and Lori!

Best place ever
For the Laurel festival I was worried I was not going to be able to find a place to stay. As a Laurel candidate I was required to be in Wellsboro at certain times. With this VRBO being close to town and in a Friendly neighborhood it made my experience so much better. I love this VRBO and definitely recommend staying here!

Pine Creek Bike Trip
Our experience was incredible. The property was immaculate and charming in all ways. Nothing was left out and we felt very welcome. The suggestions for our trail ride were perfect for us. The hosts even arranged a meeting with Linda Stager, the author of my trail guide! It was delightful and will remain a very fond memory! I can't wait to plan another visit!

Fall Bike Trip
My Father and I stay here for a long weekend to enjoy riding bikes in the fall in Wellsboro. This property has fantastic location and is full of all the supplies you amd your famiky could need. Find your home away from home in Wellsboro
I grew up in Wellsboro and so believe me when I say, if you stay at Gary and Lori's place you will have a REAL Wellsboro experience. While the mountains and canyon and gas lights are all charming and delightful, it really is the friendliness and generosity of the people in the town that make this a special place. You'll likely see people waving at each other from cars and having long chats in stores and on corners. From the moment you arrive at Back in the Day Guesthouse you'll be surrounded by this hospitality and hominess. I won't spoil what you'll find except to say my kids loved seeing the personalized welcome message on the chalk board and learning about the homemade board game. Gary and Lori are wonderful hosts and as longtime residents can give you any information about the area you'll need. You will definitely feel well taken care of. Be sure to check out the photobook that documents their work refurbishing the guest house. Wellsboro will always be my home and when you stay here it can be yours for a few days too.

Fall Get-Away
My husband and I visit Wellsboro every year to see the fall foliage. This year we stayed at "Back in the Day" and had the most relaxing stay ever! The cottage was perfect for us; It was roomy, clean, and extremely organized! It had everything we needed, in fact, we felt at home. Most importantly, the owners were extremely friendly and helpful, they catered to our every need! They provided us with information on many local resources and gave us numerous brochures for places to visit. Without a doubt, this is where we will stay from now on!

Best home to stay in Wellsboro, just like being at home.
We have been renting for a long time with home away and this is the best home we have stayed in yet. Lori and Gary are wonderful owners and have thought of everything to make us feel at home. The house is spotless and had every amenity we could have ever needed. There is a lot to do, whether it be sitting and relaxing on the porch or doing one of the many things that they provide maps and brochures about. We loved our stay and will be back.

Wonderful Experience
What a treasure this rental is! The home is immaculate and as soon as you walk in you feel welcomed and at home! So many little touches by the owners that make you feel special. Lori and Gary are marvelous hosts! They not only provide an exceptional rental but give you so much information about Wellsboro and the areas surrounding it. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary there! I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful time! Thank you for making our stay with you so special! We will be back!

The house is charming and immaculately clean! Stocked with everything you can think of - and more! We arrived to a basket of fresh fruit and trail mix! Gary and Lori live right next door and are the perfect hosts. Lots of information in the house if you are looking for things to do. Beds were super comfy and the towels made you feel like you were at a 5 star resort! We have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals over the years and this, by far, is the best!

I have rented many vrbo properties and Back in the Day is going to be hard to top. Gary, Lori and family refurbished the adorable cottage, the love and care they put into the property shows in every nook and cranny. Cleanliness is beyond reproach, the bathroom towels are so luxurious, the kitchen very well stocked. The property is exactly as pictured, So many nice touches, it would be hard to list them all. We had plenty of room to spread out with our Grandson who was traveling with us. You won't regret booking "Back in the Day", the house is pristine. Thanks for your hospitality.
