We loved our stay here. Great location to Asheville yet quiet and secluded too. Cozy home for mi novio and me with our dog. Comfortable beds, all the kitchen needs too.
This house was in a beautiful and secluded area but still only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. We had a great time and our pups loved the huge yard!
Loved this property, clean and well appointed. Hot tub and private property are amazing. Cool to be so close to Asheville but to be able to stay away in the woods. Loved this stay!
My family visited Asheville for the first time and we chose this cabin due to the convenient location—close to downtown and lots of hiking! The property is clean and well kept and the yard was a huge bonus for our dog. Matthew was easy to communicate with and was extremely helpful when we needed anything. Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay! The property is nestled into a quiet and cute valley with lots of wildlife. The house was very clean and cozy. It had everything you would need. This property is perfect for dog owners, we enjoyed having the fenced in area for the dogs! We would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and matched the property description. The only thing we would change is to have some sort of blinds in the windows. We were a little disconcerted because there were no blinds in the master bedroom or the bathroom. I know there are not many neighbors but since we don't know the folks that live in the area we were uncomfortable. Other than that we loved our stay.
Very cute little house with absolutely beautiful and PEACEFUL views! A little further away from “civilization” than we thought BUT if that’s what you’re looking for this home is perfect! The fenced in yard was a lifesaver for our dogs and our 2.5 year old!
Clean and very comfortable place to stay! Loved the music set up and not having TV! The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in at a vacation house! My husband enjoyed the hot tub so much he’s talking about getting one for home! Our dogs enjoyed the property- love that there was a smaller fenced area for them to go out through the dog door and the larger fenced area for running them! We saw a lot of wildlife - bunnies, lots of birds, bear and deer! Very private! We will be booking this one again as soon as we figure our dates out!
The property was absolutely stunning. From the views to the location close to downtown asheville, it was the perfect place to stay. The fenced in backyard was huge with an amazing view of all the stars. Matt was nice and even gave me a great park recommendation to bring my dog! 10/5 stars higky recommend this place for anyone visiting the area!
Beautiful cottage with super comfortable beds. Large fenced in yard for our dog to explore while we had wine or coffee on the deck relaxing in the rocking chairs. Close to Black Mountain and Asheville and the Blueridge parkway. Matthew , the owner is so pleasant and easy going and very accommodating. We definitely enjoyed our two week stay and highly recommend it. We hope to return again.
We had the best time at this place. The host was so nice and helpful. The place is so clean and beautifully decorated. We were able to use a grill on the property and make a fajita dinner. The hot tub was awesome. Our dog was able to have a space to run in a fenced yard. It was everything we needed and more. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
What's not to like? You've got a hot tub, great blue tooth surround system, comfy beds, and rockers on the back porch. There's a place for your pooch too. Nice property close to Asheville and the surrounding cities.
This was our vacation destination after a surprise proposal and it honestly couldn't have been more peaceful. We saw the people in the other property once and it was just at a glance, so we were happily secluded from the public other than going out to eat. The places we went to eat and visit were no more than 25 minutes away (although we did take the scenic routes so there was definitely quicker ways to get there, so nothing was too far away). The hot tub was wonderful under the stars and the king size bed was perfectly comfortable. In a time where we all almost always have our heads in a phone, the lack of tv was perfect for us to just spend time with each other but the wifi kept our music still available to us. I definitely want to revisit this location as it was honestly the perfect getaway.
We had a great time. The space was clean and well maintained. The deck was our favorite space and because you could look out over the mountain and out dogs could run freely in the fenced in areas. There was smaller fenced in back yard and then a secondary larger fenced in space. Lots of room for the dogs to chase bunnies. (Sorry bunnies). Our host was supper cool and respected our privacy. The drive into Asheville was super quick and there were some great trails close by. All in all it was a great stay and if this place wasn’t booked we’d be there right now.
My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old and 2 labs. The house was a good ways out in the country (no cell service, so we used wifi without issue) nestled in a quiet hillside. Still close enough to town for a quick visit to the grocery store, downtown Asheville, etc. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, and full kitchen very handy. No TV, which we were fine with and instead enjoyed the outdoor air from the hot tub. The house isn’t huge but quite cozy, and probably best for up to two couples or a family of 4. Still, the larger bedroom was big enough for two enormous dog crates plus our baby's playpen. Our two labs were content with the fenced in yard and loved watching squirrels and birds from the many windows - we quite enjoyed being emersed in nature as well. The owner's home and a neighbor are fairly close but there was no noise issue and we were undisturbed. The owner was available by phone ahead of our check-in and offered his help if needed. We had a really nice time and would love to visit again.
It’s really unfortunate as this place has so much potential, but the owner is the worst host I’ve ever come across. He doesn’t give you any privacy and will continue to blow up your messages throughout the length of your stay. He lives directly in front of this building and is in your business the entire time. Neither gate to the fenced areas is worthwhile if you have dogs. I had to use my own bungee cord to keep one of the gates closed and just gave up on accessing the larger dog area as dogs could get under and around the gate. The shower head was awful with water spewing in every direction except the right one, but the shower water itself smells sour and dirty. If another person takes over this property then it could be great with a few minor improvements, but as-is, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at all. The owner is also shady on the financial end with booking fees. It’s not worth the headache. Stay literally anywhere else. Sleep in your car at a truck stop. Just stay away from this man.

My arrival in this valley was not coincidental. This quiet and sunny cove continues to inspire work in the renewable energy field. I'm an active outdoorsman and lover of healthful and intentional living. Don't be surprised if you glance a yoga practice on the deck of our home nearby. My family and friends will always respect your privacy, and lend a hand in emergencies, that are beyond rare. The reviews say it all, and the feelings are mutual! Thanks for your confidence!
Why they chose this property
This valley is a little slice of heaven. Good water, fresh air, dark quiet nights, outdoor life and the sounds of nature keep me here.
What makes this property unique
