We enjoyed the property, it was perfect for our group of 5 adult sisters. We had plenty of room and would like to return, hopefully with our 6th sister next year. The house was as listed, loved the many bathrooms for getting ready. We spent lots of time playing games, and doing puzzles. Kitchen was perfect for cooking meals. We knew the kitchen would be well stocked, before opening a cabinet, when we saw the cookbook selection. We guessed the property hadn't been used recently, given the dead bugs near the windows and ledges. Highly recommend.
We came up from Illinois to enjoy the fall colors, do some boutique shopping, and enjoy some wineries. The house was a fantastic location for all of that! We also enjoyed walking along Lake Michigan as we were only a block away! The house had everything we needed and wanted. We enjoyed the hot tub and sat around the fire pit every night! We will definitely stay here again!!
We loved everything about this place. The location was perfect. Settled in a wooded neighborhood with lots of wildlife, yet still secluded from the neighborhood. The home is so spacious and there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen was absolutely amazing! I love to cook and this one made it special for me. So clean and beautiful!
This was our group’s 3rd visit to this property and it was great as always. So much space, so many amenities, and so easy to book & coordinate. The fire pit and hottub make for a great back yard, and the walk is quick n’ easy to the public access stairs to stroll down the lakefront. We love this house and look forward to future visits.
The house was clean and well stocked in the kitchen with anything you could need. The hot tub was serviced while we were there making me feel confident that it was well maintained. The house is close to Saugatuck & was so beautiful in the fall for the leaves changing color and cooler temps. The host was very responsive. This was by far my best VRBO experience!
Oh- and the beds are COMFY!!
This was a nice property with plenty of room for 5 people. I did think that more attention could have been given to cleaning, as well as spider control. Big kitchen and living rooms. There were also a couple of places that were trip dangers
We had a great time staying at Karen's house - everything about the house was as described, communication and process was really easy, and we loved the neighborhood. The view from the lakeside road is lovely and there is public shore access within walking distance. Getting to a larger public beach is just a 5-10 drive (or bike ride) depending on where you head. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful home in lovely setting near Lake Michigan
Our family of 6 stayed for a week in August, the home is beautiful. It’s set in the woods with a big deck, a hot tub, and fire pit in the back yard. The kitchen is well equipped. We spent many happy morning hours around the huge kitchen island. The bedrooms are roomy and well furnished and 3 1/2 baths is amazing. We enjoyed the local access to the shore of Lake Michigan, although limited in what we could do, it was a nice spot to watch the sunset. We spent days at world-famous Oval Beach, walked Mt Baldhead Park, and hiked down to the lovely and very empty beach at Saugatuck Dunes State Park. A beautiful part of the country and the home is a great place to see it from.
This house is lovely. The kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked. The large deck out back was perfect for our family of 9 and we really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.
We used the house as a homebase as we explored
Southwest Michigan. A fun find for us was the North trail in the Saugatuck State Park.
We would recommend this house.
This place is awesome - it has a beautiful yard with a real treehouse feel. It has a great porch and our kids loved the sauna, it's very spacious and we would love to stay again soon! :)
This home was the perfect place for our 3 generation vacation! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep, relax, play and create wonderful memories. The kitchen is the most well supplied I have seen in a VRBO property. The outdoor space is wooded and very private. There are no visable neighbors other than the lovely deer that share the woods. We enjoyed the fire pit and deck. Another advantage to this property is its proximity to South Haven, Saugatuk and Holland, several beaches. We had a wonderful stay and would book it again!

Disappointed
The unit was very dirty. When we complained the host blamed the previous guests. We complained so she could let her cleaning crew know it was not acceptable. Instead she simply said we could checkout early with a partial refund for unused nights which was not an option as family was coming in. We spent hours cleaning which should not be our responsibility. The kind of dirt we found was due to repeated lack of cleaning, not from the previous guests. The unit was certainly cleaner when we left than when we arrived. To be fair the location was great. The neighborhood was nice with easy access to Lake Michigan.
Overall we enjoyed the home with a few suggestions on how to make it better. I think that parking could be improved. No place to turn around in yard. Beach access was difficult to find. Not sure it exists anymore. Raised track in doorway between living room and dining area is a tripping hazard.
This is a very large property. The kitchen has every tool you could wish for. (We didn't use the ice cream maker). There were essentials in the pantry. You can tell we are cooks. With 8 family members, we all found our space. The dining table was a good fit us all. It also served as our game table. Sitting on a windowed porch for these activities was idyllic.
Our family of 7 stayed in this home for a week in mid June. We were delighted by how beautifully appointed it was, (the kitchen is amazing!) by how clean it was, and how comfortable it was for all of us to sleep there. Another huge plus is the home's vicinity in a leafy neighborhood 2 blocks from the beach. For day trips to the beach we went to Oval Beach and the hype about this beach is true! We shopped and ate in Douglas, (which also has 2 great delis) and Saugatuck. We also took a 45 minute ride to the Meijer Sculpture Garden in Grand Rapids and enjoyed that world class garden, esp. the Japanese and children's garden. The Art Barn, Virtue Cider and Crane's pies were a short 15 minutes away. Our host Karen was very welcoming. She mailed us an item we left behind so that was very gracious of her. All in all....a terrific place to stay and enjoy this part of the Michigan coast.
My family and I stayed for a weekend and we really liked this house. We had a couple of issues but Karen responded immediately and resolved the issue. The house is in a very good location with the lake just a couple of blocks walk away. We loved the hot tub. We would have liked the rooms to be a little cleaner, but the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay here! The home was so spacious and peaceful. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, the hot tub, and the wonderful kitchen. This home is perfect for groups or a family! It was the perfect spot to spend a week.
This is our second time renting this home for a ladies getaway weekend and we're hoping to come back a third time next year! The home is just as it looks in pictures and just a short walk from the lake. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out be comfortable and our favorite part is the hot tub! The kitchen is the best equipped I've ever seen at a rental and between the outdoor space and common areas there was so much room for us to be together and then also have space when we needed a break.
Beautiful spacious property that was perfect for a girls' weekend for college friends. Everyone had her own room, beds were comfortable, and plenty of space to enjoy a night in. Huge kitchen island was wonderful, and all the amenties provided!
Such a pretty neighborhood with a short walk to Lake Michigan and a 15 minute drive to downtown Saugatuck. We would definitely stay here again. Our only regret is that we didn't stay another night! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!
We stayed at the same property last year and really enjoyed every minute of it. There were a few minor glitches this time but nothing that made us wish we’d have gone elsewhere. The location and layout of the house is great, convenient to shopping, great restaurants, vineyards, beaches and gorgeous sunsets. The cleaning company that was used this time around wasn’t quite up to last year’s standards. I probably should have called the property manager when we arrived but we didn’t want to delay our stay. I’d still recommend it. The owner is very accommodating.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Massey
It all started with a need to getaway for a weekend. Being transplants from the west, we rely a great deal on locals who have lived here longer than we have. Originally from Montana, we love being able to escape to the mountains and enjoy the outdoors. A friend recommended the Saugatuck/Douglas because and we have been coming here ever since. Spend your Michigan dream vacation with us!
Why they chose this property
We started with West Winds, and purchased it with the hopes we could retire here someday. Next came Pinecrest and again with a full remodel - down to the studs. The only original surface in Pinecrest is the knotty pine ceiling. In 2017 from we added to the unique neighborhood in Miami Park - one of the last historically platted neighborhoods in Allegan County. Endless Blue is a spacious home with all you will need to enjoy South Haven and Lake Michigan.
What makes this property unique
We love sharing our properties with our guests. We enjoy being a special part of our guests family vacation memories and have become family friends with several of our past guests. We strive for clean and comfortable homes, presented at a good value and with professionalism. Our homes have been built, decorated and managed with love and we hope you feel as welcome in our homes as you would in your own.
