We were there for our daughter's wedding weekend, she chose this house for her bridal party to get ready in. The house was wonderful, with amazing views and everything we needed for our stay. The host was responsive and we had no problems. Would definitely stay there again!
This house is amazing! Over the years, we rented several cabins in Pine Mountain Club and this one is one of the best out there! It’s fresh, very clean and well maintained property. It has amazing view with huge glass windows. We will be coming back for sure.
Property was as described in the listing. The view from the living room is absolutely stunning and the deck allowed for stargazing with minimal light pollution. Relaxing stay, neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Property had everything needed. Sleeping was very comfortable.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. The view is amazing and bringing our dogs was wonderful. The view is so beautiful and sitting outside was a joy. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed a relaxing time. Our host Martha was very nice and available to answer any questions we had. We will defiantly be back for another visit.
This was, simply put, a stellar stay. Felt like we were outside the entire time given the beautiful, large windows. The deck and daybed were my favorite spots. If you're looking to unwind in a tranquil place, this is it!
Thanks Maria for a great stay! The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. We had 2 adults and my three kids (15, 17, and 18). The upstairs master has 2 queen beds, the 2nd bedroom has two twins, and the 3rd bedroom has another queen. There's also a bed on a loft overlooking the living room which I used for reading and gazing out at the magnificent view! Kitchen was well appointed, washer/dryer were great with teens, and the basement had an air hockey table that got a ton of use. A few points that I haven't seen elsewhere:
1. Within 5min of the house is a general store which has most everything you will need. Check hours ahead of time, though...if closed, then the nearest shopping is at least half an hour away, maybe more, depending on what you need.
2. Restaurants within 5min: Condor Cafe, Lena's Mexican, Pine Mountain Pizza, the Perch, Bear Claw Bakery. Again, check the hours! Most aren't open on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday for dinner, so plan accordingly. The bakery was awesome and they have made-to-order sandwiches which were great for lunch.
3. It snowed while we were there. The roads are windy and the approach to the house is steep. If you're going in the winter or early spring, I highly recommend a 4x4.
And that's it! Awesome vacation house an easy 2 hour drive from LAX in a gorgeous very very very quiet mountain setting.
Absolutely loved our stay at this charming vacation home. The location was perfect.
The host Martha was incredibly accommodating and ensured our stay was seamless.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
We had a wonderful time at this house . It is made with love! Everything was clean and cozy and has a very thing we needed for a retreat. The rooms were great and the beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
A lovely mountain retreat that the pictures don’t do justice! It was beautifully decorated and gave all of us - a multigenerational family plenty of space to relax and reconnect. Martha was a breeze to work with and was super accessible. Definitely a gotta come
back experience!!!
I’ll make this quick!
Needs: large kitchen tongs, pot holders, baking sheet, stove vent.
Not working: dishwasher, 2 of the 4 burners on the stove, large coffee maker , nearly ALL of the beds are hard foam beds, (only one twin has a softer mattress and it’s not in the master bedroom). No DVD player, steep driveway for low profile car.
Pros- comfy, cozy, blankets a plenty, the view, good working thermostat and stove, stemware and wine opener, bathroom stuff, linens, well decorated, beautiful deck, quiet.
The house is beautiful, roomy, and very clean. The setting is great and the small town is so cute!
Spent time at the pool area and it was fantastic!
Saw a buck in the yard as we pulled in and a bobcat at night. Felt great to be in nature. It is peaceful and quiet.
Highly recommend staying here.
Martha's mountain-top log cabin was the BEST in the area!
Martha's Log cabin was a clear standout amongst the rest on her ridge. The view from the living room/terrace was outstanding; late-night stargazing was impressive, with very little city light bleed; the property was clean and well stocked with anything we might have needed. We were also far enough away from the neighbors that we felt like we had the block to ourselves. We also had a garage to keep our vehicle safe from the elements. Could not recommend her home more! Thank you.
The house was in a great location with an awesome view and was a perfect getaway with friends. There were a few issues with the kitchen (dirty fridge and counters and one non-functioning stove burner), but the bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate. Martha, the host, was absolutely wonderful. She was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
We had just the time we were looking for! Relaxing in a quiet private cabin. The space was nice and clean — just as advertised. And the views are gorgeous! Would recommend to friends.
Fantastic property with great views but had issues with appliances and minor upkeep issues. Half the stove top burners did not work, two totally empty propane tanks on gas grill which made it unusable and tears in some of the outdoor furniture chairs.
