We would like to invite you to be our guests when you take your vacation in our area.

Northern Memories is a four season private vacation home nestled in a secluded setting with 150 feet of frontage on the shores of 1400 acre Ike Walton Lake. A sand lake bottom with gradual depth makes swimming and sunning a pleasure. The lake has limited public access, and no active resorts, so boat traffic is minimized. An abundant walleye and smallmouth bass population awaits the fishing enthusiast, with pan fish to keep the kids happy. We have a pier for swimming and boats, plus a large carpeted swim raft. Included are a 14 foot aluminum row boat, canoe and paddle boat.

Autumn offers gorgeous colors on the lake, or hikes in the woods. Winter enthusiasts enjoy the Snowmobile and X-C trails in the area. Spring fishing is great.

This 1850 square foot home offers rustic luxury in a majestic full log retreat. We have 3 large bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 2 full baths, a great room with fireplace, a modern kitchen, separate laundry room, and country charm throughout. Our huge deck is level with the lake, and is perfect for cook-outs or watching the sunset. The large screened porch runs along the side of the building. This non-smoking home sleeps up to 9 guests.

Just 15 minutes from Minocqua, Northern Memories offers easy access to favorite vacation activities, such as shopping, ski shows, restaurants, golf, and winter sports. After a fun-filled day, return for a quiet walk in the woods, sunsets on the lake, or a campfire at the beach.

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is beautiful! We had plenty of room to spread out. The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. The wood burning fireplace added a nice touch to our Thanksgiving dinner. We plan on coming back in the summertime to enjoy the lake and the awesome deck.

What a great location

This log cabin is located close to so many fun places. It's just a short drive to Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, or Minocqua. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights and experience the fall colors.

Northern Getaway

The cabin and property are beautiful place to stay. The view of the lake was amazing. Even tho it rained the whole time we were there, we had an amazing time! Can’t wait to go again!

Great place to stay for access to a very clean, clear water lake

We ALL had a very nice time at this cabin!! We spent a lot of time in the lake, and the kids played in the water and sand daily. This lake is the cleanest lake I’ve ever been to in Wisconsin. It was nice and quiet there too. The cabin was well equipped with all the kitchen things we needed and a fun game room for the kids. Dave was easy to work with, and we are glad we chose this cabin for our annual extended family vacation this year!

Lots of quiet time!

Classic Rustic Log Cabin! We had plenty of time by ourselves. During the week I think we had the whole lake to ourselves. Cabin was clean and very roomy. The only thing that caused stress was the public boat landing. Was about two miles back in the woods and just a sandy beach carved out of the natural shore line. Could use some updating!

A very nice getaway

My family of three spent a few days here in February. The large fireplace and comfortable living room was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day, or all day. We enjoyed playing games in the four season porch. I would bring a small DVD player or a streaming device to connect to the tv next time. Overall the log home was exactly as advertised and we would definitely rent here again.

Cozy winter getaway

Cabin was well laid out with plenty of room and a cozy feel. Enjoyed the puzzles and games at the large kitchen table. Teenagers were acting like kids again playing in the snow. Wish we had more time than just the long weekend to explore more of the area.

Destination Family Christmas

Nice log cabin home on a beautiful lake. We went ice fishing and caught some perch and blue gills. There were eagles flying overhead. We were able to bring 3 family dogs and they had fun playing and running in the snow. Inside of the house was clean and well equiped with kitchen supplies, games and puzzles. We had fun hanging out together with a fire burning in the fireplace. Plenty of room for 7 adults and 3 adult dogs. Dave the owner responded to all my questions and was ready to assist as needed. Overall a great experience. We would like to return in the summer sometime.

Relaxed lake getaway

Great log cabin on a large and mostly vacant lake. The cabin itself is really nice and it seems like you can have the lake almost to yourself since there aren't many other cabins on it.

Christmas in the Northwoods

Our family really enjoyed the cabin and the excellent location. Northern Memories is tucked back on a beautiful lake, but you are still close enough to town where grabbing a few supplies is a quick adventure. We really enjoyed the fire place, ice fishing, hiking, sleding, and fun games that came along with the rental. We can't wait to get back!

Beautiful Location

Northern Memories is tucked away at the end of the road. The trees, water, silence was just what we needed. The only down side of the trip was the large number of flies in the house, particularly in the master bedroom.

Great summer visit at Northern Memories!

This is a beautiful log cabin nestled in the pines along Ike Walton Lake. The pictures don’t do it justice. There is a nice enclosed porch on the side of the cabin that increases the living space, with a large table and couches. The kitchen is well stocked to meet your needs. 3 bedrooms with ample sleeping options are available. Great water access from the dock with surrounding sand base. Stairs from dock into water for easy access. Outside fire pit was great for the cooler evenings. Close to Minocqua and Boulder Junction. Overall we were very happy with this rental.

Family Vacation

Northern Memories is the perfect name for the cabin! We had a blast staying at the cabin. We enjoyed the paddle boat, swimming and caught enough fish for a fish fry! Our family also enjoyed exploring the walking trails and conservation center in the area. We are looking forward to coming back.

Great family stay!

Overall, great place to bring your family for a up north getaway! We stayed during the winter and it was very beautiful. We would love to come back to check out the cabin during the summer months. The cabin itself has some maintenance that needs to be tended to but overall a cozy place to stay.
