The horses were pretty. That’s about all I can say. The accommodations were so bad that only my husband ended up staying the night. The other 4 of us ended up staying with family in an overcrowded environment. The house was mildewed smelling, with only light fixtures being lamps. The outlets were
The accommodations were outstanding. We had everything we needed and more, thanks so much for the special touches. Very cozy and comfortable just like a home! Location was perfect, minutes from the interstate! If we return, we will definitely request to stay there again. Our dog loved sitting on the back porch and watching the horses, even though they freaked him out a little bit.
My teen children and I absolutely loved our stay on the farm. The house was neat as a pin and so cozy and inviting. We had everything we needed and more and so enjoyed getting to visit with Jan and the horses and watch lessons. We will be back!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for an event in Knoxville. The location was perfect to explore both Knoxville and the surrounding area including Great Smokey Mountains National Park. The property was clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. We would stay here again!
We’ve been traveling to Knoxville regularly and are thrilled to have found this gem. It’s a quiet and calm setting. Had great fun watching the horse riders. The cottage is well equipped for eating in, relaxing and making our stay very easy. Location is easy to get to and convenient to get to all parts of town. We look forward to being back very soon.
Cabin was very clean and comfortable! Great view of the training area where you can sit on the little porch and watch Jan do some training with riders and horses. Met Jan and she was very friendly…we had a 1.5yr old lab with us that never met horses. Jan said We were able to walk through the barn with the horses and bring our dog through! Height recommend this if you are looking for a place away from the busy life and looking to be in a quiet area.
This is a beautiful location. The only negative was at night you could hear the interstate, but it was not enough to keep us awake. The inside of the property is wonderful, immaculately clean, very well stocked and equipped. It feels very isolated, but is in fact, very convenient to western Knoxville and Farragut. Can't wait to return!
The stay went well. Saw Jan twice while she was instructing with horses but never spoke. Husband went out of way to say hello and if all was okay which was appreciated. Our golden retriever Brodie enjoyed his walks up their Blue Tick Rd where we saw deer every evening. He also met their two dogs on our morning walks. The cottage had everything we needed. There is a road close to the cottage called Buttermilk.Rd. There are two quarries and Vulcan, a company, that excavates construction aggregate materials that is on this Buttermilk Rd and the quarry close to the cottage. During business hours there was alot of dust along with truck noise from them hauling materials and driving fast. The cottage was peaceful and quiet after business hours .No one else mentioned the trucks and quarries, If gone most of day then wouldn"t notice. The location is close to the interstate so anywhere you wanted to go was convenient.
Jan was great. Lovely little cottage, great view of the horses training. Close to Knoxville and surrounding areas. An overall wonderful experience. We will be back. Just a really Great place and owners! Thanks Jan and Rob.
The home was immaculate and had everything you would need. The host was very friendly and ready to assist if you need anything. The horse farm is fun to watch them train the horses. The host encourages you to visit the horse barn. I would truly encourage renting this house. You will not be sorry
Rustic cabin with peaceful garden views and country charm
We picked this location due to its proximity to parks, walking trails and West Knoxville business meetings. We were pleasantly surprised by the many helpful amenities including excellent Wi-Fi, excellent air conditioning, safe parking area near the entrance, private laundry area, two full bathrooms, two full porches with lovely views, large windows with peaceful garden views and a full-size refrigerator in the kitchen.
Most of the properties available at this price-point did not have as much privacy or space for cooking, visitors, parking or relaxing outdoors. In addition, most camping cabins we have rented in the past are very dusty and cramped, with cracks around the doors, small windows with poor ventilation and small refrigerators.
This charming cottage was a surprising upgrade. It was much more quiet and clean than any cabin we have rented in a campground. Given our love of the outdoors, we don't enjoy sterile or modern resorts and found the peacefulness very relaxing.
An added bonus is the amazing natural spring water. We noticed an immediate difference in our skin and hair after showering. Even our coffee and food tasted much better with fresh water from their well. We wish we could have brought some of this water with us!
Loved seeing the horses. Jan was super friendly and overall great stay. Only downside was there were alot of bugs inside and it didn't smell to good inside. Other then that it was great.
