Sweetacres - Artist Studio

* PLEASE NOTE: Maintenance and expansion works have commenced for the communal Deck area. This is the space currently used on the Estate as a communal lounge/outdoor seating area with a ping pong table and books/games; these features will not be available for guests to use until further notice. While the Maintenance works are being completed, the Deck area will be fenced/closed off, and the building itself will be locked. The works are anticipated to be completed by late October, with no confirmed end date as yet. The swimming pool area is unaffected by the works and will still be open to all guests. *

The Artist Studio at Sweetacres Hunter Valley (formerly Billabong Moon) is perfect for 2 guests looking to escape to a private setting and enjoy a curated, fun, creative space with all the luxury you would expect from this popular destination. With the best cellar doors, restaurants and vineyard attractions moments away, the Artist Studio is the ideal location to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this unique setting, or venture out and have all you need only moments from your doorstep.

Set amongst its own forest of Casuarina trees, guests to the Artist Studio will step through the French doors into a spacious and open planned interior. With a signature corrugated iron cathedral ceiling and a gorgeous king size four poster bed with bellowing linen curtains as its centrepiece, the plump, colourful cushions and tasteful furnishings would see any artist feeling right at home.

Designed to have everything a guest would need, the Artist Studio has a self-contained kitchenette with Nespresso coffee machine and cooking facilities to host a couple dining in or out with a gas BBQ to cook up some delicious produce from your day of gathering in the Hunter markets and from local providores. The welcoming sitting area with HD LCD Smart TV, plus lots of magazines and board games will keep you entertained for hours. Perfect for all seasons, the Artist Studio has reversed cycle air-conditioning and fans for the warmer months, and for winter, guests can enjoy the romance of the combustion wood fireplace. The facilities and layout of the studio is also wheelchair accessible.

Enjoy the delight of an outdoor spa tub under the covered patio with festoon lights shining overhead. Laze away the afternoon on the outdoor sun lounges with a glass of wine in hand and watch the light dance through the trees or, if you're feeling inspired, you may like to try your hand at your own artwork on the Studio’s easel, or create a personalised message to your loved one.

Artist Studio at Sweetacres offers so much peace, relaxation, and enjoyment for guests onsite as well as being ideally located to take advantage of the many cellar doors, restaurants, attractions, and activities within moments of your cottage. Sample the delights of Hermitage Road and dine at Botanica, and Piggs Peake. Sample excellent food and brew at The Farm where you can horse ride, take a Segway tour, or meet the animals! Enjoy terrific hospitality whilst wine-tasting at neighbouring Hunter Wine Lab, Wombat Crossing, Thomas Wines, Ironbark Hill Brewhouse, Keith Tulloch or Tintilla. Wedding guests will love being only moments from signature reception venues including Enzo, The White Barn and Greystone Estate. Sweetacres is only 7 minutes’ drive to the Hunter Valley Gardens, The Vintage Golf Course, Roche, and Hope Estates as well as all food and wine delights of Hermitage, Broke and Deasys Roads.

For the active at heart, take a bush walk around Sweetacres’ walking tracks past the billabong and the casuarina woodlands or, wander across the lawn to enjoy The Deck leisure area or a dip in the refreshing shared Guest saltwater pool. You may also like to hire a bike and take the Hermitage Road cycle track to explore the best this destination has on offer.

Weekend - 2 night minimum up to 2 guests, $369 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - 2 night minimum up to 2 guests, $315 per night (Mon-Thurs)
Infants under 2 are free.

Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $300 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.

Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.
