I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our accommodations in Girdwood. Pat and Lynne were wonderful hosts. The property was just perfect for myself, the wife and our 10 year old. We utilized it as our home base as we skied Alyeska for 3 days. It's close enough to everything Girdwood has to offer. Everything is just a mile or two away. We arrived to find our cabin ready to go with parking marked and a sign with our name on it, so we knew we had arrived at the right destination. The cabin was warm, cozy and just right for the 3 of us. The host provided a book that had menus from local restaurants, shopping destinations and just a great source of overall information for the area. A really nice touch. I would recommend that you bring your streaming passwords with you as they have a Roku TV that you can sign in to. The WI-FI worked just fine too. I had great communication with Lynne leading up to our arrival and Patrick was on hand to answer any questions the moment we pulled in to park. I most definitely would stay here again. It was so beautiful here during the winter, I can only imagine the how nice it is during summer. The drive in from Anchorage is just gorgeous!
Nice cozy little cabin. Stayed for the night do do some thinking and exploring. The host was very polite and checked in on you to make sure you’re settled in and answer any questions there may be. The kitchen and bathroom was nice and the tap water was well filtered.
Overall, this is a nice cabin in a beautiful setting. The kitchen is very nice. The host was very helpful and friendly, and pointed us to a nice hike in the area. That said, the beds were not the best. The king bed squeaked and its headboard rattled with the slightest movement. I'm not sure what was going on with the mattress pad on the full sized bed, but it was very scratchy and irritating.
Great property!!! Very beautiful landscape. It is an original old fashion cabin that will enhance your Alaskan experience. I LOVED the tub. It wasn’t an ordinary experience and for that we were grateful. Only thing I’d suggest is maybe a newer coffee pot that brews faster. You will love it here!
Loved the location of this small cabin! Close to the town of Girdwood, between Anchorage and Kenai. We had 5 people (2 adults and 3 big kids) and it was a bit small. I would recommend no more than 3/4 as the upstairs double bed was under the a-frame roof so not really enough space for 2 people in the bed. Nonetheless, comfortable and great for our short stay.
Charming Cabin, space to breathe, Fantastic Location
Everything was as described and we found the setting to be relaxing and convenient to all the things we wanted to do. The house is tucked away at the end of a little road and Lynne and her sweet pups were there to greet us when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and my only complaint was the kitchen faucet, which was hard to get in just the right position for consistent, hot water. We never use the woodstove, but there was a handy gas heater that was easy to turn on in the evening
We would 100% stay here again!!
Property was as advertised, clean, and had everything we needed for a birthday ski weekend with teens and friends. The hosts are super friendly and responsive. They even maintained communication with me to help me retrieve an item I’d left behind! We are happy, satisfied guests and would stay again!
It was everything promised and more ! Everything was perfectly set up for a short stay. Very beautiful time to enjoy the snow and we even slipped a hike to the falls.
My grown children and I stayed for a weekend getaway during the holidays. It was just what we needed. Adorable place. Great location. Friendly owners. Plan to book again in the future
We loved our stay here! The owners are really nice and very welcoming and the cabin was beautiful and had modern amenities. The property itself was really nice and well maintained as well. We really appreciated the owner’s initiative to take our very curious son on a short hike with her dogs behind the property. He had a wonderful time and came back all excited about the blueberries and mushrooms they found. Highly recommend to others.
Clean, cute, and close to everything you need. This cabin backs to the most AMAZING woods that go on forever. Close to town. Easy check in process. Perfect stay. Will definitely return.
Perfect place for a ski weekend. Clean and easily accessible.
Was looking forward to the blueberry cake but it was nowhere to be found :) haha!
But wonderful place!!
Lovely Alaskan setting, comfortable and classic. It’s a beautifully updated treasure of a cabin that is thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed a fire.
For fall/winter it does take a few minutes to heat up, but once it does it’s lovely. Would definitely stay again. However, anyone with mobility issues would be challenged.
Loved this cabin, very rustic, Alaskan feel!!! Super comfy!!!
