Hale 'O Malina is located in beautiful Waikoloa Village. The "Village" as it's affectionately referred to is located just up the road from world class golf courses, pristine beaches, stunning resorts, amazing restaurants and so much more!

This home has vaulted ceilings in the family room, an updated kitchen, a/c and ceiling fans throughout. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, including the master. Downstairs is an additional bedroom and bathroom. This home offers your choice of dining inside or outside while taking in the mountain and ocean views.

After a long day at the beach, enjoy the convenience of a private outdoor shower. Then relax and unwind in the private outdoor hot tub or sitting around the fire pit. Watch the sunset from the upstairs lanai while grilling up some of our fresh island fish.

While staying in Hale 'O Malina, enjoy the use of the community Robert Trent Jones golf course, swimming pool and tennis courts. The village has a full range of services including a grocery store, medical office, banking, gas station, business center, etc.

Family stay in Waikoloa

The place was great, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, and we loved the front porch. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vacation rental in this area!

Beautiful rental in great location

We loved this rental. The front porch and it view of the ocean was our favorite for both morning coffee and watching the sunset. The house was immaculate and well appointed with appliances and dishes. The refrigerator was immaculate as were dishes but there were a few spices for use. This has been one of our favorite rentals! The pool is usable and just a short drive away b joy it is mostly used for lap swimming by older people. We didn’t feel it was a. Great place for kids to play- fine with us the ocean was amazing and there are day passes available at Hilton Waikoloa. The Waikoloa village grocery store and restaurants are very close. Highly recommend this rental.

50th Anniversary Family Celebration

Everything was just as presented online only better. The neighborhood was so quiet and the property so well landscaped for privacy as well as tropical beauty that we felt safe and pampered. Everything we needed was provided . We especially enjoyed sunset from the front porch and late nights out back. This was a special week for us as we island hopped. Perfect!

Wonderful

This home was so comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed beautiful mornings on the front Lanai and evenings in the back either in the hot tub or around the fire pit. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood with a view of the ocean. It was our 25th Anniversary and Lani even had a cake there for us when we arrived!

Great location to feel less like a tourist and more like a local

Family vacation

We loved the spacious layout of the house especially the outdoor spaces. The home was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was a bit farther out of the way than we realized, so requires some extra drive time to get everywhere. The pool is actually down in the Waikoloa community and was difficult to figure out so we only took advantage of it once.

Beautiful Home

We are a family of 8 & found this home very comfortable. It’s well equipped & in a lovely residential neighborhood. A bit of a drive to sights but easily accessible by car. The manager Lani is very accommodating with any questions or needs.

Absolutely gorgeous! Definitely recommend!!

Property was pristine and so cozy! Lani knew we were coming late and had the lights on for us, along with some Hawaiian music, which was so welcoming. Lani was quick to answer any questions and the location is great. We definitely recommend this house to anyone considering it!!

Beautiful home

This home was gorgeous! It was clean and spacious. It had everything we needed for cooking meals at the house. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed the view off the porch every morning and evening. Sunsets were beautiful! Watching the starts come out in the hot tub was amazing. Would definitely stay again on a return trip to Hawaii.

My family and I very much enjoyed staying in your well appointed home. Your home was a perfect fit for our extended family of six – including myself, my son and his family, as well as my eldest grandchild. We all very much enjoyed the ocean view, with the ability to see perfect sunsets, all from the comfort of your spacious deck. Your home was a perfect location/home base for our activities at several nearby beaches, plus ready access to the Queen's and King's shopping areas, plus only about a 20 minute drive to the Hilton Waikoloa, where my two granddaughters and I went swimming with the dolphins. After each day of activities, we looked forward to returning to your comfortable home for a relaxing evening and a nice meal prepared by my son - the chief in the family - who enjoyed having plenty of prep space in your kitchen. We all enjoyed your three lighted palm trees in the landscape, and came home with some great evening photos of your home, which now rotate on my wife's computer desktop. This trip with my family was one of my bucket list items - check that box - and a trip I'd like to repeat sometime. My entire family would highly recommend this home for those who are looking for a relaxing and quiet environment, plus having all the amenities of home. Aloha!"

GORGEOUS HOME!!!!

Caroline’s home is absolutely perfect. So beautiful decorated and the lay out is perfect. Very thoughtfully done. Outdoor areas are just gorgeous. The huge front porch/veranda is the best spot on the property. Gorgeous views and beautiful place to watch the sunset!! I would not hesitate to stay here again. We travelled all over the island. It was the perfect place to come home to after adventuring. Communication was excellent as well. Thank you Caroline for sharing your beautiful home, Mahalo!

We had a fantastic stay. The house was just as shown in the photos, very comfortable with plenty of space for our 2 families of 4. Location was as expected, plenty clean and had what we needed for a week-long stay! Especially appreciated beach gear to use. Recommended!

Wonderful house for a group

We stayed here for 8 days in January. 3 couples and 1 toddler. It was very comfortable for all of us. The house is in a great location for doing hiking and going to some really great beaches (15 minutes drive to three fantastic beaches). It's a longer drive if you want to do a lot of stuff in downtown Kona. The house had towels, beach towels, snorkeling gear, coolers, beach chairs. All great to have! Wish there had been some beach toys for kids. Nice kitchen that had most of what we needed (Some tupperware and more ziplock bags would have been nice). The backyard and outdoor shower is very nice! When we were there the AC was acting up a little but honestly, not using AC and just having the breeze from windows was really nice. Loved the sound of the wind and the Hawaiian birds! FYI one of the reasons we booked this place was access to the community pool. Unfortunately it is now closed. :( That was a bummer but we just went to the beach every day. It was fine. I would most definitely book this house! It was large, comfortable, had some nice amenities (hot tub was great!). Neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Great Family Home in Waikaola Village!

From the time you saw the home from the street to touring it the first time you felt like you were at home..... this place worked so well for our large group of parents and adult children. A well planned out space with gorgeous lanai looking out to the view and a shaded lanai in the back with pergola, fire pit and hot tub, you felt the indoor/outdoor nature of this home. Caroline was a great owner to work with and responded to texts and messages promptly. We loved being in Waikaloa Village as we wanted to further explore the northern part of the Big Island while reducing the "drive" - so hiking, beaches and quick trips to the windward side of the island. Thanks Caroline - we would come back in a heartbeat!

Best place to stay!

Where do I start with a review after such an incredible stay?! Caroline is a delight to work with and she made sure our stay was special even before we arrived. The house layout was perfect for our group of six. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Beautiful flowers and landscaping both in the front yard and in the back near the hot tub made for a tranquil setting. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make great meals (including a night of grilling). We felt at home and cared for throughout our experience. You can't go wrong selecting this property for your Hawaiian adventure!

Wonderful Quiet Place

This was a little to far for my daily commute to Kona, but not too far for some trips there. There is no reason to choose Waikoloa Beach over this area! There is sooo much more space and value for the $$.

Beautiful spot

Our time at Hale O’ Malina was perfect for our party of 8. Many wonderful places to sit, feel the breeze, visit and enjoy the ocean and sunset view. Set in a quiet neighborhood with access to stores 5+ minutes away and gorgeous beaches, some with shade and great snorkeling 20 minutes away. Communication with owner pleasant and easy. Mahalo!

Amazing Hawaii Stay

The house was amazing. The property was exactly as mentioned. The location in our opinion was part of the draw of this. It was away from the coast a little that so it provided a rest from the heat (a little). Overall a great location and house. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to the big island.

Surpassed our expectations

This home is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. It is the perfect spot to get away. Relaxing, peaceful and a view that makes you want to sit on the lanai all day. The house has an incredible outside area. The lanai has a table for meals, a hand crafted coffee table to enjoy coffee/wine with the sunrise and sunset, and (to top it all off) there is a hot tub, fire pit and outdoor shower in the back yard. This home left us wanting for nothing! The house itself was the perfect size for our party of 6, and we could have fit a couple more comfortably. It was also immaculately clean. It's very well taken care of. This was a girls trip that we have declared an annual occasion because we loved this home so much. The AC was a great benefit as it made it comfortable to sleep at night. Location is also perfect - a quick 15 minute drive to the beach and shopping center. The caretakers' hospitality was outstanding, which really made us feel welcomed. They had great beach and activity recommendations, which we appreciated! Overall, I can't say enough about this place. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to return!

Spacious and Comfortable with an Ocean View

The customer service for this excellent property was above and beyond any previous rentals we have used. The photographs are accurate, and the description is true. We loved the spacious lanai with its ocean view. We could stargaze at night, enjoying the hot tub and fire pit. Our family of 8 had all the space we needed. After more than a week, we still enjoyed the property but were starting to get slightly tired of the drive needed for the many beaches. However, the pricing is fair for the extra distances required. A more convenient location, with four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms would have been too expensive for our group. I would rent this home again, and highly recommend it to friends and family.

We purchased this home in 2001 and have been fortunate enough to raise our children in paradise! This home is truly meant for families. Our children are all off to college, leaving us with time to travel and see other places. Now we want to share what we have enjoyed for so many years with others. Why they chose this property

This home sits in the back of Waikoloa Village with great ocean views that we have never grown tired of seeing. Waikoloa's central location is convenient to everything and just 6 miles away from world class resorts and beaches. We have customized every aspect of this home from fixtures to landscaping to our "zen" area with a bungalow style gazebo. Our kids loved playing basketball in the cool evenings as the Night Blooming Jasmine began to fill the air. This home will always be paradise to us!!
