100 years ago, in a remote part of the Kauaeranga Valley, Simun Devcich, created a farmstead. He traded with the gum diggers who lived in bush camps in the upper valley. The original buildings and chattels still remain. The Farmstead is recognised as a NZ treasured historical site, Cat. 1 for its significant historic and cultural value.
We invite you to stay at the Devcich Farmstead, experience the magic, relax and enjoy the breath taking scenery the river, bush and mountain ranges.
