Great water access and deck

My family really enjoyed and took full advantage of both the water facing deck and access to the lake. We rented a pontoon and parked it at the dock overnight. The house came with a Lilly pad for the kids to play on in the water. The house also has a large garage and driveway area for kids to ride bikes and play. The neighborhood is very nice for walking with friendly neighbors. We even scored a bike and two scooters from a yard sale next door. The house comes with a Blackstone grill on the deck which we used every night for cooking dinner. Made family cookouts really fun and allowed us to make a lot of food at once on the massive cook top. Our only complaint would be the HVAC system cooling unevenly throughout the house. The living room and kitchen were nice and cool, but the bed rooms would get hot during the night. There are overhead fans in each room which helps. The bedding was a little too hot as well. Overall it was a great vacation home for our family and we will be back!

Family getaway

We enjoyed a nice, fall family getaway at this property. The location of the home on Lake Wissota is beautiful. Amazing views of the lake and a fabulous dock to fish from or sit and enjoy the beautiful bay the home is located on. The location of the home is quiet and peaceful. There is a great deck looking out at the lake and a big fire pit we enjoyed with smores. We enjoyed lawn games in the large front yard. There was plenty of sleeping room for 5 people. We would have preferred more blankets for the beds and better lighting in the bedrooms, rather than just overhead lighting. The home was nice and clean, and detailed instructions were left for us. Joe was great to work with. We had a very nice and relaxing time at this home and we’d recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway on Lake Wissota.

Quiet Cabin on the Lake

We stayed here with 3 adults and 3 kids while visiting family in nearby Eau Claire. The house was great, and had everything we needed. We grilled out on the deck, and hung out by the lake. The layout of the house is a little unusual, but the bed's were comfortable, everything was clean, and it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The paddle boards and toys in the boat house were great, and we had a lot of fun on the water. One note that's not completely clear in the pictures is that the dock is down a pretty long stair case from the house. Something to keep in mind for anyone that might have mobility issues. Communication with the owner was great, and he helped us get everything sorted. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Wissota Week

Our family enjoyed the stay on Lake Wissota during the week. The lake tends to be pretty quiet and open to enjoy most days and the weather was great. Joe has made some nice updates to the lake home to make it feel comfortable and clean. There are numerous activities to take advantage of by Chippewa Falls, so that is an added bonus. Our family enjoyed the Northern Wisconsin State Fair and eating out nearby.

Wonderful Lakeside Retreat

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. We had an infant under 2 and a 6 and 9 year old. The home had a high chair and pack 'n play and SUP and floaties for the lake. We grilled and enjoyed a scenic dinner on the wide deck. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Had a great time! The host was very nice and responsive. Really liked location, being on the smaller part of the lake was perfect. Less wind less boating traffic. The inside of the house was very clean.

Cozy Cabin on the Lake

We loved the fact that the owner had everything well labelled and organized. They allowed access to the boat house for flotation items and paddleboards, the cabin was very clean and welcoming.

Wisconsin Lake Getaway

Wonderful location. Has a nice sandy bottom off the dock for swimming. Loved the cabin. Listing is very accurate and owners are very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Great Stay

Location! Location! Location! Property is centrally located to get to Eau Claire or Chippewa Falls. Good access to taverns, groceries, restaurants, etc. and still remote enough to feel like you're isolated from the grind.

Great place to be outside

Beautiful outdoor deck and dock for enjoying the water and scenery. Updated master bedroom, but shared bathroom with guest bedroom. We had 7 guests total and it was fine considering we spent most of our time outside or away from property. Easy communication with owner.

Quiet Time

The property was nicely kept and everything is organized for ease of use. Three of us spent two nights while traveling for a race and we had everything we needed. The deck and dock were both nice to sit on and beds were comfy for resting for the big race day. The community was quiet and the property feels secluded yet close enough to local places to eat and spend time cite seeing.

College reunion

We really enjoyed our stay at Joe’s cabin. Location was perfect and we spent most of our time reminiscing around the fire pit. It was a short cab ride to the Leinenkugel brewery which was a fun outing! We didn’t take advantage of the paddle boards but we appreciated that they were available.

Pine Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at the property and Joe is a great communicator. There are some minor maintenance issues. A garage is listed in the amenities, but was not made available to us. Several other amenities are listed, but were not there (Kayak/Canoe for example). The items listed are available to rent from nearby businesses.

A perfect stay

The property was very clean when we first walked in the door. The back deck was beautiful to sit and enjoy the sun or a drink or eating a meal. The home is very close to a sandy beach, restaurants and other touring places in town. Each night a round the fire was a great way to close the day.

Perfect in Every Way!!!

My college sorority sisters & I gathered here for the perfect long weekend getaway. The house was lovely and well-appointed. The dock was easy to navigate and we were so grateful to be able to rent our pontoon nearby and have an accessible spot for easy in & out. Everything was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with everything anyone would need for full experience entertaining. Because of the well thought out organization, it was easy to keep and leave clean. It felt the closest to coming into your own home as I have ever had at a vacation rental. The setting is really magical. I will be back with my family and "the girls" are already planning for next year. The owner was prompt in communication and all around lovely to interact with. I can't imagine a better experience. They have set the bar high, in my opinion.

SPECTACULAR STAY!

My girlfriends and I stayed for a long weekend in June and could not have better things to say about Joe and this property! The place is stocked with utensils, small appliances and basic kitchen pantry items (like spices) and is very clean, making it easy to unpack and feel comfortable in the cabin. The view of Lake Wissota is gorgeous from the big back deck! We spent most of our time out there enjoying the weather and scenery. We went out in the lake for a pontoon day Saturday and the water was very clean, as well! There is plenty of room inside to gather should the weather not cooperate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property and Joe! My only complaint would be the bottom bunk mattress on the metal set was very thin and uncomfortable. Would be fine for kids, though! CHEERS!
