About this property

Coastal Elegance Meets Casual Beach Feels

Relax, recharge and reconnect with family and friends.

Cliff St. Cottage provides a coastal luxe vibe, taking the seaside inspiration blending it with a casual, light and breezy atmosphere with everything on your doorstep.

Nestled on the rise of Mt Melville, overlooking the beauty of the Princess Royal Harbour andĀ stunning views of Torndinup National Park on the horizon.

Unwind on the sundeck and watch the yachtā€™s drift over the harbour with sunrises and sunsets sweeping the horizon. From the grand beginnings of this century old cottage using original features, considerate design and practical function, embracing the far-reaching sea views, open fireplaces and luxe bedrooms, all the little luxuries have been carefully detailed to deliver a holiday home, exactly the way it should be.

Spend gentle mornings within the two spacious queen master bedrooms or the enchanting double bedroom where plush linens and soft pillows encourage lazed sleep-ins.

The living area with floor to ceiling windows, echoes natural light with lounging evenings, immersed deep within the sea blue sofa's or next to an open log fire.

The separate alfresco and formal dining areas, seating six and eight, delivers both ambience from the wood log stove (wood and firelighters provided) and a 3.8m wall chalkboard providing light entertainment that is guaranteed to keep both kids and adults occupied for hours.

The fully equip gallery kitchen with electric oven, gas hot plate, dishwasher, coffee machine (pods provided) complete with spice draw, pantry essentials, extended breakfast and our not forgetting the Cliff St. recipe cards that are sure to fill the heart and the belly.

The laundry room has a 9.5kg washer, 9kg heat pump dryer (washing powder provided), iron, ironing board, picnic basket and tub of sport and beach equipment for your use during your stay.

For those travelling with bubs, there is room for a portacot to be set up in one of the master queen bedrooms and we can provide highchair and stroller at no additional charge (advise at time of booking).

The scent filled pathways through the cottage garden with an abundance of bird life and beautiful butterflies with playful possums gliding between the avocado trees at night and the seasonal pickings with raspberries, blueberries, cherries, grapes, tamarillos, avocados, limes and lemons.

Parking is permitted for one vehicle via Cliff St. in garage and for one vehicle on front lawn via a private driveway, off View St. Please note large 4WD's are suited for lawn parking only. No parking is permitted on private driveway, verge or neighbours grassed verge.

A Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay
Have been holidaying in Albany for 30 years and this was by far the most enjoyable. Everything you could possibly need was provided at the cottage making it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The garden and location were amazing and we are so grateful that we could bring our fur baby. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful cottage
Beautiful cottage, with great views, great fireplace and excellent location. Our dog enjoyed the backyard and sleeping by the fire and there was enough space for the family to spread out to unwind. The location is excellent, close to everything in Albany.

Great autumn stay
Beautiful property, well appointed. Great views. All the amenities you would want plus more (very thoughtful to consider all needs). Really enjoyed our stay. Not a criticism but if any mobility issues the main access to the property does involve a couple of stairs.

The Cliff St Cottage has everything you could want and then some. The welcome food hamper is both thoughtful and generous and the house is in a great location for exploring the delights of Albany. An easy walk to town, the Saturday Farmers market and great coffee. We will definitely return!

Perfect holiday home
We were very comfortable here in this beautiful cottage with our three young children. They loved walking to the farmers markets and the views of King George sound ,playing in the beautiful garden as well as the chalk board and craft drawer. Tanya has thought of every tiny detail and we very much appreciated the beach bags and towels being handy for an impromptu beach trip. We enjoyed the several different seating areas and fire in the evening. We have made some lovely family memories here :) highly recommend.

bad experience
1. property is to hard to drive in and out. 2. too steep to walk from parking to house for older people. I am 70 years old, and I had difficulty to step in the shower because the shower is over a bad tub. 3. no armchair to sit and the lounge seats are too low for older people. 4. bed were on good for me. 5. we stay 1 night out of 4 nights that i had booked.

Fantastic home away from home
Whilst the pictures look great, you really need to see this place with your own eyes! It was the most perfect little home to stay in. The rooms were quiet, bedding was fantastic and every little detail and amenities you could possibly need or think of was offered. It was even decorated for Christmas! We honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else in Albany ā¤ļø Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Albany stay.
The property was beautiful and views over the water of Albany were wonderful. The cottage has everything you need for a stay and more. We had a really cold snap, unfortunately, but the heating kept us warm. The gardens are lovely, very well kept with many flowers out. A piece of Albany history to stay in.

About the host

My passion for interior design, travel, food, family and adventure constantly had me thinking - how could I bring all my loves into one and this is how the Cliff St. Cottage came about.
Growing up in Albany and the wonderland of Great Southern region with majestic oceans, powdery white beaches, tumbling granites and national parklands, childhood adventures were endless and I didn't have a choice, being a daughter of a fisherman in acquiring the love of fishing and having a connection to the ocean.
I am the 4th of 5 generations to call Albany home and my great grandfather and great uncles served in WWII and are honoured with a tree on the Avenue of Honour on Mt Clarence.
I have placed my heart and soul into the Cottage and its design and wanted every guest to walk in and just get that instant feeling of what a holiday home should be. Everything has a story, a reminder of life and a heartfelt memory of me and my family.
