Our family was impressed with the overall cabin. We enjoyed the morning and evening views of the mountains. The cabin itself was very spacious for a family of 5.
Relaxing away from all the noise and day to day rush!
Perfect getaway. Secluded and relaxing. Nice amount of space for 4 adults. Enjoyed sitting on deck enjoying the view. Definitely putting Three Daughters Cabin on our repeat list!
This was our second time staying at Three Daughters - we love it so much! The views are amazing, the kitchen is stocked with the essentials, there’s space for everyone. We had fun on our adventures and also enjoyed down time at the house - it was the perfect vacation! We didn’t want to leave!
Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!
We had a great time staying at three daughters! The Leatherwood community was beautiful and the views from the hot tub were amazing. There was a good amount of lady bugs as mentioned in the listing so you just need to be prepared to sweep them out a few times a day. Overall great family trip!
Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and celebrate our 5 year wedding Anniversary. To wake up to a view like that every morning was amazing. Clean cabin, great kitchen, and the outdoor deck that people would fight over. Great Place
The area is beautiful. When we normally vacation in the Smoky Mountains, we hit the Blue Ridge Parkway or App Trail. This property had quite a bit to offer and found that we didn't even need to leave the area. We hiked a few trails, the kids loved being around the horses, we enjoyed the hot tub and view from the deck. I'd definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was quiet, private, scenic, and the kids loved every minute.
For a place that advertised as a get away, which it is the owner needs to spend some money on repairs and upkeep. View is amazing but cabin overall for that amount of money needs some work.
This is a nice property and while in a community there is a lot of privacy. Purpose of our visit was to unplug and stress relieve. The property is good for this purpose as nothing city or shopping wise is within 30 minutes.
Three Daughters is as described. The property was extremely well maintained and clean. The access to trails from the bottom of the property was particularly nice. We enjoyed the hot tube in the evenings as it was accompanied by some terrific star viewing. Leatherwood Resort has lots to do (horseback riding, bike rental, tubing in warmer months and plenty of hiking) but it is about 30 minutes to the nearest town. So be prepared to have most meals in the cabin. We enjoyed the relaxing view of the mountains and cool air. Perfect place to relax!
My family and I couldn’t not stop obsessing over the views from this property. Unforgettable! This house was very clean and had all the amenities you could hope for. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was hot and bugs were limited. We loved exploring nearby trails right from our backyard (just down the horse pasture). It was so fun and so memorable.
The best and most unexpected experience we witnessed was the firefly light show we saw on our last night here. It was like a concert outside or a closeup version of a starry night. Absolutely magical! If you get the chance to stay here, turn off all lights at night and step outside. It’ll be worth it.
We are so grateful for our time here.

Reviewer Comments:
House was beautiful, enjoyable and very relaxing! Wonderful fireplace became the center of attention on the cool evenings while the hottub gave great views of the mountains during the day and the stars at night. The house lived up to our expectations after several stays at Leatherwood since the late 90s. The only negative was that it had apparently been a couple of weeks since it was last rented. While it was clean and sanitized after the last user, it apparently hadn't been checked on before our arrival as the hottub was off and the ladybugs were in the 100s around several doors.

Reviewer Comments:
The cabin was comfortable and fitted our needs except for finding out the morning we left that the hot tub wasn't working. I was compensated $20 a day, which in no way lessened the disappointment. Having wood for the fireplace was a great asset. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We were there for a family wedding and this was a great location for that. The furnishings were great, and the view sublime. A few suggestions: It would have been nice to have a few more coat hangers and an extra blanket per bedroom. Please be aware that there is no cell service in this cabin, although Wifi was good.

Reviewer Comments:
Overall we have a great Christmas vacation in the Three Daughters mountain cabin(house). The view was spectacular from the huge deck. Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the sunset was a hit with everyone. Lots of room and the games in the basement kept us busy with on a rainy day along with the games we brought. Close by hiking was nice when we didn't want to drive anywhere. One issue was a bed in one of the rooms was very poor. It should have been replaced long ago. The kitchen lacked some basic items that I expected would be there. Heat went out, I ran out of firewood the night before, and the management company figured it was more important for the workers to take a long breakfast than take care of the clients. I even drove to get wood, but was told it would be there soon. Wasn't soon.
I don't even know where to begin. We had the best week filled with equal parts relaxation and adventure. Leatherwood/Three Daughters was the perfect place to come home to after full days of hiking, biking, boating, tubing, and white water rafting. The house was beautiful with amazing views.
I wished there was an outdoor dining table on the deck so we could have eaten outside together, but we managed with the chairs just fine. The hot tub was amazing, even on hot days we still enjoyed it after the sun went down.
We loved exploring the trails and visiting the grounds around Leatherwood...the Saddlebrook restaurant on Friday night with live music and great food was the perfect way to close out our wonderful week. We loved everything about our stay and made memories to last a lifetime!
A couple pointers: make sure and meal plan - the grocery store is about 30 mins away. If anything, make sure and plan what you're having on your first night/first morning. There is a little c-store/gas station close by, but it won't have everything you need.
The house was well stocked with coffee filters, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, TP, linens/towels. You may want to bring dishes for storing leftovers and/or taking food with you on hikes/picnics, but otherwise, the house had everything you could need.
We will be back again! I'd love to see it in the fall/winter! Thank you so much!

Too many lady bugs but a peaceful getaway with fam
It was nice to have a king size bed in the master. However, it was very hard. The amount of lady bugs was alarming. Sweeping up hundreds of dead ones at least twice a day. Plus a few wasps and one giant spider. The hot tub and views were amazing. Not sure if I would return. There was good internet.

We left a handwritten note when we handed in the keys -- but first: the place had wolf spiders. We killed 2, but there were more. We suggest the owner purchase new sheets, cleaned and new blankets, new pillows with individual pillow covers, new kitchen towels and silverware. The stove knobs were missing their numbers. The dishwasher soap dispenser sticks and doesn't open properly during the wash cycle. We dusted the headboards...but there was loads of gunk behind them and on the floor behind the beds.We removed spider webs but there were more. The spiders must have been eaten by the wolf the webs were old with dust on them. No reason for them to be there. We didn't have anywhere to hang our towels in the master bedroom. We've stayed at a different cabin in Leatherwood years ago. It was very clean, modern amenities, very nice.
