First I’d like to say that we have stayed at The Wharf before and love the amenities. This condo on the other hand has some problems. The condo was dirty, like the floors haven’t been mopped in a while. The first day we were here my grandchildren’s feet were black from running around on the floor! The toilet and sink of the front left side of condo bathroom was clogged and the sink is very slow to drain. The pantry had dirt and crumbs on the floor in it. Spider webs behind the toilet, nats flying in the condo, and a wine bottle left in the wine cooler.
Also because we have a large family, I cook a lot of meals. I brought large pots and some kitchen utensils. But for a condo that is suppose to sleep nine, the three little saucepans that you had is ridulcoulas, and don’t get me started on the fry pans, they were dirty, and rusting and the coating was peeling on them, I had to go buy pots to cook in. And it’s not the cost of feeding this family at a restaurant, cause we can afford to eat out, it’s the time you wait during the summer for a table and with little ones it’s just not worth it. Don’t advertise stocked kitchen and not have it, by the way the pots you do have, don’t have any lids and the lids you do have, don’t have any pots.
The first day we arrived, the fire alarm was set off for leaving the door open, fire trucks, ambulance and police were dispatched. This alarm was triggered 2 more times during our stay, we figured out if you leave the front door open to bring in grocery’s it would go off, and you have to fan the smoke detector to turn it off and keep the door closed. We were leaving the condo for dinner last night, and just waiting for all of us to leave the condo the door was open a couple of minutes and the fire alarm went off. We fanned it and it turned off and we left. As we are going downstairs and crossing the bridge a fire truck and police rolled up, not sure if it was our alarm that triggered them. I can’t beleive that someone hasn’t had this problem before. FYI - You need to replace the sensors periodically.
Also linens, you have one set of king size linens for the whole condo! Each room should have a spare set in it, we found the blankets, but no extra sheets! We had enough bath towels, but only 1 hand towel per bathroom and 1 wash cloth. I brought my own kitchen towels, so I’m not asking for kitchen towels. Rental company is 45 min Roundtrip away. On a positive note, the furniture is nice and the beds are comfortable.
