By The Water unfortunately does not supply Wi-fi for your stay.

Security Bond:
A security bond of 500 may be required depending on your method of booking.
You will be advised at the time of booking if a bond is required.

Arrivals and Departures:
On the day of your arrival check in is from 2pm, when the property may be available for an earlier check in we will notify you. On the day of departure check out is strictly 10am, If a late check out should be available we will notify upon arrival. We try our best to have the properties ready for a 2pm check in however during peak period the check in time may differ.

Please Note: Extra Cleaning fees will apply if the property is not left in a similar state of which it was found.

50 Bbq cleaning fee will be applied if the BBQ is left unclean after use.

Unfit for habitation
The only toilet had access available only externally, very inconvenient after sunset in dark and cold breeze. Mould on bedroom joinery and in shower, and a lot of incomplete joinery with gaps and rot and rising damp evident. No hot water plumbed to bathroom vanity.

Quiet retreat to recharge

Two day getaway
Lovely cosy little house. Beautiful views. Was nice early walks along the basin shore. Everything you could need was provided. Because the weather was cold we enjoyed the games room watching the footy and playing pool. The heater inside made the house toasty warm. Even though the house itself needs some structural repairs, it's a great place to relax and unwind and would love to return in warmer weather

A simple shack with a lot to offer in a beautiful location.
I had three teenagers who only wanted to spend time kayaking on the beautiful waters of St George’s Basin. The shack had everything we needed and more, and the teenagers were thoroughly entertained with the pool table, outdoor TV and kayaks. Would definitely recommend this property.

Great location with lots of Kangaroos & wildlife about. Fully appointed kitchen which makes an extended stay easier. Our dog loved it.

Fun at the Basin
Everything was excellent except one BIG problem - no hot water in the shower. We could not get any hot water running in the shower in the morning or evening which is when we needed to use it. Hot water to wash dishes, gas for cooking but no instant gas hot water for the shower - VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Great little property for a smaller group. Stayed a couple of times now. The location is amazing right on the water front and very reasonably priced compared to other properties for Location. Everything you need supplied for outdoor activities which is a bonus. The only cons would be that the little cottage does need air conditioning. Stayed recently over the 40 degree weekend with no relief from the heat despite being on the water. Fan provided was simply not enough. Other than that we always thoroughly enjoy our stay at by the water. Very peaceful and close to beautiful beaches and scenery.

Gorgeous waterfront property with everything you could possible need for a nice relaxing weekend. Great location to shops, beaches etc. Fully enclosed property perfect for the furry family members.

This was the worst experience of my life. We have never had any problems previous to this and thought we would try this. One month later with no contact or follow up we have not received our dollar deposit back. After week's of calling and all the excuses under the sun. Still no contact and still no money back. Stay away from this company.

Relaxing short stay
Although this property looks a bit rough from the outside it was very nice and comfortable inside. One of the best equipped kitchens we've ever had in a rental property. Very pleasant to sit outside to eat meals and watch out over the water. Just a short stroll to the boat ramp and a short walk to a nice water side bush walk. Although we had to drive to the coffee shop. But that was only a few minutes away. Nice quite location

Was just ok
House felt pretty run down on the outside (everything was covered in cobwebs). Still had everything you need inside, good kitchen but didn’t have a super clean feeling in the lounge & bedroom. Nicest part was the view of the water. Also, would benefit from having a key lock safe on site as having to drop/pick them up from Huskisson added an extra half hour both ways onto our already long trip.

Great spot, everything we needed. Cute little shack - loved the kayaks!
Good fishing spot, right on water. Outdoor toilet and beds in shed - but all very close and under cover. Huge TV and pool table in shed - among other things. Only hassle was collecting and returning the key from Jervis Bay - 15 mins. An extra half hour on our road trip day of departure.

We love it!
We have stayed at By the Water a couple of times now and I can highly recommend it. It has a rustic Fishermans cottage appeal . Internally it is extremely comfortable and has fantastic views of the basin. The garage area is brilliant as a kids room and kids entertainment room. Our little dog feels very safe here as well as its fenced off. If peaceful quiet and seeing nature is your thing its a great spot. Fantastic sunrises- sipping coffee on the outside front area watching the pelicans is my favourite thing about this spot.

Cute & Comfortable
Cute,comfortable, warm little house. Kitchen well stocked with near new utensils, a real pleasure to cook in this kitchen. No chipped or cracked plates, what a bonus. Excellent location, close to beaches & national parks. Each morning seeing the sunrise over the lake was a real treat. Wonderful having the lake as your backyard. Will certainly return if able. Return visit as good as the last
We have stayed here a few times now, always relaxing. The owner provides those little extras that make a short stay comfortable. Being bird watchers and keen nature enthusiests we are never disappointed here. Close to beaches and other activities. Thank you for another successful break from the city.
