Little Sweden is the premier timeshare resort in Door County. Our 3800 square foot penthouse unit is the largest in little Sweden and is located on the top floor of little Sweden’s Village complex. This complex is visible from Highway 42 just south of Fish Creek on the Green Bay side in the heart of Door County, the Midwest’s Cape Cod. Little Sweden features over 90 acres of woodlands, trails, a championship 9 hole golf course, three swimming pools, 2 indoors and one outdoors, two ponds, and the highest point in Door County, as the resort site was historically a ski hill. Our penthouse unit is on the second level, all on one floor. The unit opens to a great room that features three seating areas, first a fireplace area framed with chairs and sofa, second a table and chairs that seats 8 and two chairs near the center of three picture windows that look out on the golf course and forested former ski hill, and a third area that features a large screen TV and cabinet that faces a large sectional sofa and companion chair and ottoman. This great room is adjacent to a kitchen with a four seat breakfast bar, many built in cabinets, high end appliances, cabinets fully furnished with all utensils and dishes, just like home. Behind the kitchen is a large laundry room that features views of its own. Also a large half bath serving the great room. This great room features Swedish colors of blue, yellow, Pickel pine, red, blue and green furniture, complete with a miniature Dalarna horse that compliments the large one as you enter the Little Sweden Village. From the Great room you enter a hall that has a bedroom and bath on the left that features a queen bed, large closet and en suite whirlpool. Across the hall is a twin bed bedroom with views of the golf course and forested old ski slope. Past these two bedrooms is a large hall closet that can accommodate a crib. Further down that hall is an open room that features a desk area, a sofa that features a full pullout bed option and a nook that opens to an outdoor seating area that overlooks the entire resort and affords panoramic views. Then through a door is the master suite featuring a large closet, exercise bike area, three seating areas, a king bed, a fireplace, a twin sink master bath, a large whirlpool, walk in shower, private commode and bidet. There is a back hall that leads to a private deck with grill that overlooks the golf course and two large ponds and a 2000 acre nature conservancy that abuts the Little Sweden resort. There is also an owner’s closet that contains games and other paraphernalia that enhances your visit. This penthouse unit is always available from late July to late August (essentially weeks 30-33 of any given year-i.e, July 26 to August 23, 2019). Door County’s many amenities await renters in August, the best time to be in Door County. Peninsula Players, America’s oldest summer stock theater is less than a mile away. So too the acclaimed White Gull Inn in Fish Creek. Edge Wood Gallery is less than a 1/2 mike away. So too Lavender Spa. Sweetie Pie’s. Villagio’s Italian fare. Cherry Orchards. Fish Creek’s Gibraltar Auditorium featuring one of the best summer festivals of Classical and Contemporary Music in August of each year. Peninsula State Park, the crown jewel of Wisconsin’s state parks is just north of Fish Creek and runs to Ephraim, perhaps the Midwest’s most picturesque town with its Eagle Harbor and Bay. Further North is Sister Bay with wonderful restaurants like Chop, Lure and Al Johnson’s famous restaurant with goats on its grass roof and wonderful Swedish food and decor. To the south of Little Sweden is Egg Harbor and its shopping and restaurants. Green Bay itself features sailing, boating, jet skiing and spectacular sunsets. We have been going to Door County for over 40 years and the things to do never seem to be exhausted whether indoors or out, there is all manner of excellent dining, art, music, theater, shopping, golf, and water sports. Our penthouse unit puts all this at your immediate disposal. The Lake Michigan side of Door County offers a Great Lake, quieter communities like Baileys Harbor, Jacksonport, Whitefish Bay and Newport state parks and galleries and restaurants too. Northern Door has Ellison Bay, Jens Jensen’s Clearing, Gills Rock, Washington Island and its lavender fields and School House Beach (one of the best in the US) and the rare fauna of the Mink River estuary. Southern Door features the year round activities of Sturgeon Bay. Speaking of year round. This penthouse unit is also available the last week in October and the Thanksgiving week in 2019.
