Whiritoa Beach House - heaven in the Coromandel Peninsula, for you and your dog.

You and your pet can holiday in this 2 storey, simply renovated bach with a huge deck, situated 80m from the beach front with views to die for. 2 double bedrooms upstairs and a sun room with a double bed and single bed off a large open plan kitchen / dining / lounge which flows onto an extensive deck from both the kitchen and lounge with large sliding doors. 1 bathroom upstairs with shower and separate toilet. Downstairs has 1 double bedroom, a separate lounge with sofas and a TV for videos and games, a bathroom (shower and toilet) and separate laundry opening onto a back yard with an outdoor hot shower as well- perfect after one of those many summer swims. Parking on the front of the property. Wifi in the home. Bed linen/towels are generally not provided, but can be arranged on request.
Whiritoa community, the Coromandel as its always been, a quiet summer beach town, with 1 shop (currently being on sold). Come here for a relaxing holiday, take journeys to other beautiful parts of the Coromandel East Coast - Opoutere, Hahei, Cathedral Cove, Hot water beach... -E-bike the fantastic Hauraki Rail Trail from Waihi to Paeroa through the Karangahake Rail Tunnel and Gorge... lunch at Port Road Project or dine at the spectacular Camina (must book ahead of time) in Whangamata, or the Falls Retreat in the gorge... or.... do nothing, rejuvenate and recharge. Can't get much better than this...

WHIRTOA
Lovely Bach,very comfortable,and great views. Owner very welcoming and gave us lots of info. The weather was a challenge, but didn't stop us from enjoying family time as 3 of us came over from Melbourne Australia. Lots of games to play which passed the time away. Next time maybe weather will be better to enjoy a swimming in the beautiful beaches in the area.

Excellent property in a fantastic location
We were two families with young kids staying for a weekend. The weather was not great, but the house was so comfortable and well set up that it didn't detract from our stay in Whiritoa at all. There was lots of space for all 8 of us. The downstairs lounge worked really well as a place for the kids to hang out while the adults were upstairs, cooking in the very well equipped kitchen, chatting and enjoying the gorgeous views. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. The location was amazing - a stones throw from the beach. The owner was absolutely lovely to deal with - very accommodating and excellent communication. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and would certainly want to return for another wonderful stay.

Perfect location for a summer retreat
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Short drive (less than 2hrs) from Auckland. A minute away from the beach made our stay extremely pleasant. The batch is well equipped and David was a very efficient communicator. Dog friendly property and fully fenced decking area provided our two wee dogs a lovely play area. The only thing I would like some improvement is the cleanness of the bedding in the downstairs' bedroom. There were few stains on the duvet and the mattress but we brought our own sheets with us. Thank you for a lovely stay. Will definitely rebook it in the future.

Room layout worked well for our extended family of 3 couples ,baby, and 2 littlies.Lovely lounge,kitchen and deck area with sea views. Extra bathroom and fridge were great. Would love to return in warmer drier weather when children could make better use of safe lagoon area.
