Perched high on top of Berry Mountain (about 15 minutes from the town of Berry), surrounded by woods and rain forest, Cherrywood is a modern Australian bush home, perched high on top of Berry Mountain.

The home sits on 40 acres and is surrounded by woods and rain forest, with ever changing North facing mountain views.

The property is equidistant from the historic Berry and Kangaroo Valley Villages. Relax in the large central living area with raking curved marine ply ceiling, 2 living areas, double faced fireplace and gourmet kitchen with 5 meter island bench making entertaining a delight.

Wake up in the king master bed looking out to the beautiful view, you might even catch a wombat or wallaby walking by.

The second bedroom has two single beds, the third and fourth bedrooms offer queen beds. All beds a dressed with luxurious white hotel quality linen.

Cherrywood allows guests to enjoy nature while still having modern conveniences.

Things to note:

All linen & towels provided

Access to the house once off the main road is along a section of dirt road

Mobile phone reception with some phone providers can be very limited. There is a landline for guests to make local and emergency calls.

Guests are required to take rubbish from the house to the council wheely bins at the top of the private road upon departure.

Firewood is provided from Easter Long weekend - October long weekend

Bookings made to stay on a Thursday and Friday nights or Sunday and Monday nights are charged at the full weekend tariff

Beautiful and Peaceful

Great place to stay for a group. Beautiful surroundings and really close to Berry and Kangaroo Valley. A bit tricky to find at first but well worth it.

Ideal for a large young family

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was nicely laid out and had a cute little play area for the kids. Beautiful grounds to wonder around and take in the view. No reception for phones or iPads which was nice to be forced to uncouple from the stresses of modern life.

Peace and quiet

Great communication and beautiful property. A bit tricky to get to when roads are wet as they are quite slippery and more like a track, but it's fine if you just take it slow. Lots of wildlife and very peaceful. Kids loved the cubby house

Berry Stay with the Family

Lovely weekend away

We loved this property and it was a perfect place for our family of adults to get together. The property is well equipped and beautifully appointed. A property specific guide would help as the board games and firewood were a too late discovery.

Amazzzzzing place to stay

The place is very remote, and the road into the property is a slow drive, but not difficult but well worth it. The house is well placed and full of serenity and the beautiful native birds, wallabies and calming visual outlook is amazing ;) Definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Weekend

The house is beautiful and has everything you need in the kitchen for cooking a feast - which we did several times. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linen. The views are gorgeous overlooking the valley. Best to arrive in daylight for navigating the route. An exceptional home.

Quiet and peaceful getaway

Perfect place to stay for some relaxation and to get out of the city. Warm fireplace to sit by and beautiful view over the valley. The house had all you needed and was very clean.

Peaceful scenic spot

A very attractive pleasant place. The only downside was that heating was by a wood heater which took a lot of wood and required topping up in the middle of the night to keep the place warm.

Lovely house but access is difficult

Very nice house, great layout for two groups staying together as bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house. However, a few things do detract from relaxation and enjoyment - the long driveway to house is really badly maintained and not great on city sedans, and you are required to take all rubbish with you to dispose of - we couldn't drive it 800km back to Melbourne so this was a pain, as only alternative is to illegally dump it in town. Cost of rubbish disposal should be factored into price so guests can relax. Also, the neighbours dog spent a lot of time hanging around the house, which wasn't great with two babies in our group. The views were incredible though!

Perfect getaway from the city!

"We chose Cherrywood as our Xmas in July weekend destination for 6 adults and 3 toddlers. What appealed to us when booking was the quiet, hilltop location, an outside play area especially for the kids and the fact it had no phone reception or wifi! When we approached the property and travelled the last few minutes on a single forest track (no 4WD needed!) you immediately felt a disconnect from the city crazyness. The view into the valley from the back deck was awesome and no photo would do it justice. The property is fantastically equipped for catering to large groups with all kitchen essentials provided. The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and everything was spotless. We would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone who wanted to get away from it all for a weekend!"

Perfect getaway

Cherrywood is the perfect place for a luxury getaway in a tranquil setting. The view over the valley is amazing. We were visited by native animals rarely seen, such as wombats and lyre birds. The house is very clean and well appointed with everything required to make for a comfortable stay and the layout of the house suits two families, providing privacy and ample common areas to share. We particularly enjoyed sitting around the fireplace while taking in the view.

Great property, very comfortable and well set up. Worked for parents and kids. Pros: Very comfy with all the mod cons, plenty of space, inside and out, no wifi Cons: The bush track through the forest (not really a con - part of the charm)

Luxury escape

What a beautiful property. The house has been so brilliantly designed to maximize the gorgeous bush and valley views, and inside to enjoy the cosy fireplace. The kitchen was a dream and loved the underfloor heated polished cement floors throughout. Amazing place to relax in the bushland whilst being spoilt with a luxe house.

Perfect hideaway. Stunning location.

Extremely clean and well fitted out. The fronds were beautiful and the kids explored all weekend with no requests for TVS or electronics. The lack of phone coverage was a great attraction and really made for a relaxing weekend. Even set the alarm early to experience being above the clouds for day break with the curious wombats and Roos. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous property

Beautifully presented property. Sweeping views of the bush. Everything provided that you could want. The well appointed kitchen with quality utensils made the whole experience feel very luxurious. Decor and style was very relaxed and we didn't want to leave !!! Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and revivie themselves from the hussle of the city...battery recharge !!!
