My husband and I took our 14 year old grandson here on his school spring break along with another friend of ours. Every thing was as expected! The house was so comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed being able to fish off the pier from the front yard and fishing from the canal in the back. Our grandson lives to fish!! Our host called to make sure all our needs were met. We will be planning to return here soon.
Great waterfront property. Communication with the property owner was excellent, even helped me find a spot to put in our boat. Would definitely stay here again.
Just as listed! It was perfect for our family vacation! Had deer in the back yard one morning when we got up. Grandkids did some magnet fishing and had a blast!
Exactly what we wanted on the river in chocowinity. Could not ask for a more better place to just get away. The owner was very helpful called to check in and see how things was going.
Property was great, very clean & welcoming. Had everything we needed & then some. Fabulous views, quiet neighborhood. Owner communicated well, easy check in, he checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend & we will definitely be back.
Needed a 4BR location for Sporting Clay Tournament in Washington, NC. Great communication by owner and
The property included 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths with comfortable living room for socializing with great waterfront settting.

Cozy, clean house with a great view and owner!
Very clean, well equipped house with a beautiful view off the back deck. Not fancy but had everything our family of 4 needed. Town is close! The owner was very quick to respond to emails and was easy to work with.
This was our second visit. We love the location, proximity to the water and ease of getting to the grocery and local eateries. The house was clean and has a well-equipped kitchen, including most anything you need.
Also, Jim is great at communicating, making sure your visit is a pleasant one.

Just what we were looking for!
Stayed here for 3 nights over Thanksgiving holiday and it was exactly what we were looking for. Nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable and fully equipped. My wife and I with two small children (6 & 2) enjoyed the big yard and the dock. Near enough to town and shopping for convenience but also very peaceful and relaxing. With family now in the area, we'll definitely be staying here again if not with them. Owner provides excellent communication!
This has everything you need for boating, fishing or just enjoying great views from the deck.
Clean, older house, with all amenities provided. Very friendly homeowner, who ensured we had everything we needed and answered any questions/concerned immediately.
No WI-FI, but really not needed when at a location like that.
It was a very nice house, everything was perfect for our stay. I especially enjoyed being able to spend the time with my family that definitely wouldn’t have happened had we been in a hotel. We were able to eat most of our meals together on the deck enjoying the river. I actually spent time with all 3 of my adult children sitting on the pier & just talking, a very rare moment these days for us. Again thank you for the hospitality and the use of your home.

Very relaxing and comfortable
This house was exactly what we needed, with a magnificent view. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend away. Jim was extremely helpful and accomodating to our schedule. It rained several of the days, but it was so wonderful to be able to sit on the covered back deck and still be able to enjoy the amazing location while staying dry! I highly recommend this rental. Downtown Washington is just a short drive, or a small motorboat ride away to enjoy the local restaurants.

Perfect Week!
Our family enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable week on the river complete with long boat rides, fishing, and water fun. Our only land adventure was to the food lion. Jim was a wonderful host and his home was in perfect condition. Jim checked in to make sure we were 'll settled in and was very responsive to any questions we had prior to check in. Thank you for sharing your home!

Wonderful Memorial Day weekend with family!
Modest home, but clean and neat. The location and view is awesome. Being a boater, I loved having the canal in the back to dock our 18 foot boat. I also loved the location, peaceful and out from town just far enough...but you can get to downtown Little Washington in 10 minutes by boat or car.
House is very well equipped; everything you need is there.
Great communications with Jim the owner.
Overall just a wonderful stay.
Hope to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Jim's property to celebrate my wife's 65th birthday. The house is beautiful and spacious with every amenity imaginable. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the mornings and walked to the pier daily to eat our breakfast and see the beautiful sunrise and wildlife. It was so peaceful we didn't want to leave, but we ventured into nearby Washington and enjoyed the two restaurants we ate at: Shep's & Down on Main. We also enjoyed the Goose Creek Park. On our last full day we kayaked on the Pamlico River, which was the highlight of our trip. We loved our trip and this property immensely and strongly recommend to anyone looking to get away, enjoy nature and relax! Thanks again to Jim who was the perfect host from start to finish!
This property provided us with a relaxing get away from our everyday routine. The view of the river from the porch or dock is fantastic. The house had everything that we needed for cooking and outdoor activities. The house reminded me of the rustic beach cottages of my youth, not super modern but comfortable. We experiences some problems related to construction going on next door (not the host's fault) and Jim was super responsive. He checked on us during our stay to make sure that we were enjoying our trip. I would stay here again in the future.
We had a great week here. The pier, the water and the canal really made it for us. Following our host’s instructions, we were able to put in and store the trailer nearby and moor the boat right behind the house. Jim was very knowledgeable, friendly and checked in on us several times. The house was comfortable and spacious for us, with bedrooms for everyone in our multigenerational group. It had everything we needed, including AC and ice during a hot July week. That freezer ice-maker was a champ! Great view from the porch for storms. We watched fireworks all up and down the river from the dock on Independence Day. Hope to come back!

About the host

Grew up in the mountains of NC, graduated from East Carolina University.
Why they chose this property
Worked in Greenville for 10 years. Wanted a remote, sportsman's location on the water and was fortunate enough to find this hideaway only 25 minutes from Greenville. Moved back to the mountains a few years ago and didn't want to let go of this piece of paradise!
What makes this property unique
Have never tired of looking out over the Pamlico first thing each morning. Have never tired of sitting on the end of the pier with a cold one as the sun goes down!
