Spring Break 2024

We had the most amazing vacation in Costa Rica! The first leg of our trip was visiting Manual Antonio. We choose to stay In Quepos based off a friend's recommendation and couldn't have been more happy with our decision. Casita Cinco was nestled in the end of a residential neighborhood and only minutes walking distance to the town, which we enjoyed doing every evening. Dorit was equally amazing to work with! She was responsive and offered many suggestions, recommendations, and even went as far to research questions when I had them. The house was everything we had hoped for and exactly as pictured! I highly recommend Casita Cinco.

Quepos

The Casita I stayed in was wonderful. It was well maintained including a house cleaning once a week. The owners were also wonderful and helped me out as needed. I would highly recommend their place!

Lovely place and great location in Quepos

Very nice property in Quepos with east access to everything. It’s tucked away from town noises and feels private. Kitchen well stocked and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Excellent communication with Dorito- from directions, things to see, restaurant recommendations and bookings….everything! Regular cleaning kept the place perfect. East to get bus to Manual Antonio beaches and parks. Appreciated the discount to tours. We enjoyed the porch every night and the evening sounds. Woyld highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Casita Cinco. The house is in a quiet residential area, but very close to grocery stores, a gym, and public transportation. We greatly appreciated the cleanliness of the home, the charming home decor, and the fully stocked kitchen, including a lovely basket of tropical fruit that was left for us. The air conditioning was also a very nice feature given the day-time heat. The owner, Dorit, was very accessible and responsive. She would respond to my messages very quickly and had wonderful suggestions on tours, restaurants, and places to visit. Casita Cinco is a very special place and we would look to stay there again on our next trip to Costa Rica.

Costa Rica gem

The owner was more than accommodating in helping us to find tours etc. Location was great as it is walking distance to town centre for shopping and groceries. Bus transportation was easy to use to the beaches. Highly recommend this property.

for the short review... This place was amazing! The owners, Dori and Alejandro are great.

This adorable house was the perfect spot for our first time in Manuel Antonio! Quepos is a short cab or bus ride from Manuel Antonio, and the bus stop is just down the street from the house. Dori & Alejandro provided helpful information about restaurants/bars/tours - they also own a local tour company in town. The house had all the amenities and a cute deck for cocktail hour. We rented a car and there was a spot to park. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing time! Great people!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and we were unsure of which areas we wanted to visit. The location was HUGE!! This home afforded us the ability to travel the entire Pacific Coast and still return to a familiar bed each night. We lucked up on a festival being held within blocks of the casa, which was terrific! There is a fresh market on Friday evening and Saturday morning within walking distance, where we were able to try local fruits, and we also purchased fresh chicken and veggies. Having a kitchen was nice, because we love to cook, and there was also a grill for us to use. We ventured out into the neighborhood and checked out a few of the “hole in the wall” type bars. They were very relaxed, and most everyone spoke some English, so between our broken Spanish, and their broken English, we got by fine. Dorit and Alex were wonderful. They were full of suggestions as to places to see, but did not intrude on our vacation. We met their fur babies, and that was nice too, because we knew we were surrounded by families living normal lives, not someone trying to sell you something constantly. If there was anything that we would have changed, we are a little spoiled with air conditioning. They do not have one, which is pretty common. Dorit gave us a floor fan, which was a game changer! (Thanks again!!) All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to see what the true families in Costa Rica live like. You will be in a neighborhood, on a dead end trail, no thru traffic, easy to find, and a convenient location for beaches, sightseeing, jungles, restaurants, markets, you name it! Make sure to visit La Parcela! OMG THE MONKEYS SWING IN AND EAT OFF OF YOUR PLATE WHILE THE SUNSETS ON THE PACIFIC OCEAN!! And ....yes. We want to go back to live there forever!

Great place to stay at a great price

We loved the casita and the hosts. Dorit and her husband were super friendly and attentive. The casita had tons of room for the two of us, and would still be plenty of room for 4. The place was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It's very convenient for everything in Manuel Antonio without the big price tag. Dorit can recommend all the best places to eat in Manuel Antonio and Quepos, and she also has good resources for tour guides and things to do.

I moved to this area of Costa Rica from Germany 20 years ago and it's my absolute favorite place on earth! The beaches are amazing, the wildlife is incredible and the rainforest is really breathtaking. I'm happy to share our Casita with other travelers wanting to explore this beautiful country.

Why they chose this property

We're located at the edge of Quepos so you're near the hustle and bustle of the busy town and the Manuel Antonio area, but far enough to not be affected by the noise. Plus we see tons of wildlife in this neighborhood right from the porch - daily monkey visits, scarlet macaws, toucans, agoutis, iguanas and many more.
