Newspaper article:
"Some day we reported that in Zagreb constituted a joint stock company that has decided to build a sanatorium for treatment of various diseases, such as sanatoriums in other big cities. The foundation for the building itself was created by the engineer Ignjat Fischer and the construction will be supervised by architect Vjekoslav Heinzel. To avoid various objections, the project was sent to the Society of Engineers and Architects in Vienna for evaluation. The Society evaluated this project as the best, and particularly liked the idea that the whole building gave the horseshoe figure, because all the hospital and residential rooms have a front to the south, which is especially comfortable for the patients ... " These are the words back in 1908. The newspaper reported mainly rich citizens of Zagreb that will not have to treat in Trieste, Vienna or Budapest because Zagreb will get the first private hospital, a modern sanatorium for treatment and last built hospital in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Because of my restless adventurous spirit I was in the hospital in Klaićeva four times, of which three times in surgery. Thanks to the brave and courageous children's surgeons now I have a functional left arm (and much more). And then in 2017, 30 years after surgery I started to think about change my career. When we saw an ad to sell a new apartment in old renovated 100 year old building in Klaićeva street, we had no doubt at all.
Now, after 18 years in office, banks, retail companies and security I'm free again. I hope your stay in the Apartments ParkLife Zagreb will remain in good memory.
