Beautiful Plum Island Escape; Steps from Beach- Coveted Southern Island Location

Steps to the beach and located on the very Southern part of the Island (right before the nature reserve entrance!)

New construction home offers an amazing open concept, designed to be a tranquil vacation/beach retreat. Home offers 3 full bedrooms with a large loft 4th bedroom with queen sleeping arrangements and 3 baths.

Layout includes King Master, 1 queen room, one full with twin over bunk and pull out twin (3 beds in room) all on the first floor. Loft includes Queen with great views and a day bed (2 beds total).

Home is laid out with bedrooms on the first floor which makes it easy to put the kiddos down or have a quiet nap and living space on the second floor with loft bedroom on the 3rd (great views!) The large master offers a king with full walk in closet, master bath with custom shower and private deck with hammock and seating. The Loft bedroom is outfitted with a new Queen and day bed (Twin) with a sitting area on the opposite end. Ocean, marsh and reserve views add to this amazing space. The first floor has AC and 2nd/3rd floors have new stand up units that require no effort to maintain. All bedrooms + loft have black out shades and fans to keep the space comfortable! In the kitchen, you'll find stainless steel appliances & granite counter tops. The island has seating for 4 while the table can sit 6. The open floor concept provides peaceful ocean and marsh views from 3 sides of the home while also providing wide open space entertaining or just relaxing on the two oversized couches with power recliners.

BriVera was designed to capture the amazing natural light and sea breeze with high ceilings & large windows throughout while offering a special touch with a nod to the area with reclaimed wood from a local barn, used throughout for loft/2nd floor ceilings.

Parking for 3 large or 4 normal sized cars. Storage area underneath offers a wash down hose with hot water and is outfitted with chairs and misc beach gear! Weber grill outside for cooking!

Beautiful home

The house is exactly as pictured and a short walk to the beach. On clear days, we could see the ocean in the distance. The home is well-appointed, with comfortable furniture, quality kitchen utensils, generous “base” supplies, and the whole house was spotless! We loved driving into Newburyport to shop and dine (be sure to eat at Poynt!), and, had the weather been nicer, we would’ve walked around the neighborhood or on the rail trail. Absolutely perfect for our annual girls’ weekend!

Perfect Getaway!

We’ve stayed at Plum Island for years and this was our first time booking this home. It was perfect for our Thanksgiving getaway with extended family- three generations under one roof! So close to the beach and the wildlife preserve as well. Highly recommend!

Paradise on the Beach

Clean! Wonderful hosts! Location location location...steps from the beach...the house has everything you need and more...Lots of room, beautiful decks, steps from the beach, and so close to town. We can't wait to book again for next year! No need to search for another house...take this one while you can!

Lovely getaway weekend stay

Close to remarkable Parker River Refuge and beach, so convenient to Newburyport for dining, balconies perfect for enjoying the outdoors for morning coffee and conversation, comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen, bathrooms, linens. Plenty of seating for means and conversation, felt very safe and quiet neighborhood.

Very close to the beach. House can accommodate 10 people with no problem. About 3 miles to downtown Newburyport. We had a great weekend! Walk to Sunset Grille and Riptides

Spectacular Beach House!

We had a fabulous time at this wonderful home! It had all the amenities we needed and was steps away from the beach. I would highly recommend staying here 😎 we look forward to returning!

Great spot

The house was set up perfectly for our party of 5. Comfortable couch, kitchen table and a nice layout. New fridge and everything we needed for the weekend. The only feedback from the group that wasn’t positive was that some beds were uncomfortable. 2 people elected to sleep on the couch the second night because the bed wasn’t good for them. The beach was so close and so beautiful.

Good size and locaction.

Suited our needs just fine. Bed in bunkbed room was very uncomfortable. Some drains were clogged, toilets don't flush well and had no toilet paper refills. We used tissue. Main bath shower ran cold right away, but master shower was fine. Otherwise, the house was nicely stocked and all was well. Thanks!

Wedding Guest Stay

Four adults with four kids (age 5 and under) stayed comfortably for 2 nights to attend a wedding in the area. The beach was close by and very nice. Parking for large SUVs was easy. The bedrooms downstairs and living space upstairs was a very good layout for our stay with young kids; it was good to have that separation. Beds were comfortable, couch was comfortable, and kitchen was very functional. Plenty of bathrooms for our stay. Many large beach towels were made available to use. We considered using the trundle bed as a sleeping option for a child but no extra linens were readily available and the fitted sheet on that bed was not clean. The top bunk was fine for a 5 year old but didn’t seem sturdy enough for an adult or a larger child. Bath towels were clean but there weren’t extra available. Overall we found the house quite suitable and we would come back for another long weekend another time!

Great Ski Trip

The house was perfect for our stay. Newburyport is very quaint. We had to drive through it each time we hit the slopes at Ski Bradford abiu 45 minutes away. Plum Island offered beatiful ocean views and the beach was a mere 5 minutes from the house. We also took the commuter train into the city that took about an house. The train station was about 15 minutes away. The house large enough for our group of 8...3 teenage girls slept in the bunk room, 2 teenage boys took the loft...83 year old Uncle stay in the queen room and my husband and I were in the master. The only complain from everyone was thar the sheets were a bit scratchy. It may be time for new sheets for all of the bed. Overall thought, the house was great.

Great location, nice house, but...

Cute home, lots of beach stuff, nice owners. The best part-very close to beach! Property needs basic maintenance, more silverware, serving pieces, only one lid for pots! Stove top and other things dirty upon arrival. Neighbors yards which surround/ directly abut and are visible from decks, kitchen, bedrooms etc. are basically junk yards - the people in them put more junk into while we were there! Those homes look awful and rotted!! Not visible from vrbo pictures. Ongoing construction on 2 new houses across the way starting 6:30-7 am M-F and the 2 abutting properties on weekends. A cleaning fee is charged, but arrival instructions say to clean house and do some laundry before leaving! Would possibly return if we knew the junk would be gone in abutting yards.

Outstanding location -- details missed the mark

PROS: Location & Nbr'hd were awesome. Super close to beach. Quiet & peaceful. Comfy sectional couch. House layout very nice. Host communicated immediately when we alerted him to ants in the kitchen. CONS: Musty smell in bedrooms. Musty smell in towels. Kitchen felt lacking of tools, pans -- a bit beat up & tools that were there were not great quality (random, pans that did not fit tops, poor knives, poor carrot peelers, regular handsoap in a foam soap container so did not work well... that sort of thing). Overall we would consider staying here again but for the price, we think there could have better attention to detail. Better quality in kitchen items, host should provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. If it were an old house with a lower pricetag, we could accept those things. But, it is a house that has been redone and should not have the musty smell present in bedrooms.

Amazing place and people

I needed this house for only one night to surprise my 80 year old mom with her 11th and 12th great grandkids. I was excited because of the location is amazing with easy walk to beach and preserve and close to the fun local shops in town. More amazing than that was working with Caitlin who allowed us to check in early to spend as much time with family as possible as we were leaving MA the day after. She was so generous and kind and even recommended the perfect spot for the surprise. The only thing I can say even remotely negai is there are a lot of stairs and I am chunky. But so worth everything and more.

Super Plum Island Property

This home is perfectly laid out for a family beach vacation. The site is a short walk to the beach, the two decks are great, and the kitchen has just about everything needed for family dinners. It was a big plus to have all the linens provided. We had a great stay and would rent this property again.

Stay of rest and tranquility. The house is 2 minutes from the beach which is beautiful. Very close to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge where there are pleasant walks to do. The house well equipped, large and comfortable. Large windows to see the sea and let in the light. It was a great stay from all points of view.

Pickleball Ladies Getaway

Wonderful location! Lots to see and do! Highly recommend "Bob's" for lobster and whole belly clams... Owners were very quick with responses to questions and their home is absolutely beautiful and located just steps from the beach and national wildlife preserve! We highly recommend staying here!! The town was closed.

Going this early in the season for my first time on plum I didn’t realize a lot of restaurants were closed. The property was very homey. Light and airy. A spray shower was great. Very close to the beach. The house was well equipped with everything I needed.

Beautiful Plum Island house for families

This property is ideal for families escaping to Plum Island. The "upside down" layout had a sunny upper level living space with the bedrooms below. We enjoyed morning coffee and and dinner on the deck, where you can hear the sound of the waves. The house had everything needed to enjoy the beach, from chairs to umbrellas and sand toys. We loved the quick walk to the beach, the quiet neighborhood, the easy access to Parker River, and the walk to ice cream, shops, and restaurants on the Island. Very communicative owners--highly recommend!

We come from two large local families and Plum Island has always been a destination that marks the summer season, fun in the sun, and is synonymous with family and friends. We are happy to share the Plum Island experience with others; it's an amazing place.

Why they chose this property

BriVera by the Sea represents 5 generations of Plum Island family history and memories. Playing on the sand, jumping in the waves and enjoying the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets are just a small piece of what our family has loved most throughout the years. Plum Island has close proximity to Boston (45 minutes off peak ), and Newburyport which is one of our favorite towns. It has fun shopping, festivals, and absolutely fantastic eats. Sailing, kayaking and fishing is easy to do about anywhere near Plum Island. Location offers great day trip access to the Maine coast, white mountains, lake Winnipesaukee, and so much more. BriVera by the Sea is also walking distance to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge.

What makes this property unique

Located on the very south end of Plum Island, before the nature reserve, traffic is low and things are just easy going. The south end has far less homes and people so the property is truly tranquil. Large windows facing N/S offer great views but captures the gentle breeze that makes it feel like the the beach and vacation. The decks face the ocean and there are limited homes between you and the beach. Cross the open lot, see Google map, and access the beach. Quick and easy.
