Enjoyed it

Just visiting for work, it was nice to have a place todo some unwinding in the afternoon. House was clean, has, tv, internet, lake front with a paddle boat and canoe, was as expected.

Week-long Getaway

If your looking to relax in a place with great views and plenty of wildlife this cabin is for you. Cabin was clean and inviting with Dennis just a text away for any questions. Close to many outdoor activities. Whatever you need within 15 minutes of cabin. A short ride to Ludington makes for a fun day trip. Debbie's sportsman lodge in Baldwin has great food and a pool table. Ice cream and elephant ears at Tiny's Tasty Treat's. Or just grill out on the spacious deck with a great view. We really enjoyed our time at the lake.

Nice Cabin

Our family had a really great week! Nice cabin with beautiful views on a quiet end of the lake. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The deck offers a peaceful place to enjoy your morning coffee! Great spot for fishing off the dock or in the canoe or paddleboat that's provided. There's also beach access to a nice sandy spot just don't the road. The owner was really nice and available for any questions. The area is fantastic - Baldwin has a little of everything and you're not too far from Ludington. We would definitely stay again.

We love this place. Clean, cozy, open..view of the lake from every room. Easy to get to town.

Our 2nd time staying here. Met the owner..brief visit..Very nice man. We love it. We feel very comfortable here. You walk in to the garage area where it's a great place to store our kayaks and luggage. Up the stairs and you see the lake..from every room...so clean and cozy.. kitchen is open to living room. Bathroom nice and clean. You can walk over to the Big lake in 3 minutes...if you plan to play there. Love sitting on the dock watching the stars. Close enough to town, yet you feel like you are the only people there. Close to Pere Marquette river. Short drive to Lake Michigan. Already planning next year's stay.

Cozy cottage with good lake view.

Overall our stay was good. We enjoyed the area and also drove to see some attractions near Lake Michigan. The cottage has a canoe and pedal boat which my kids really enjoyed! The lake bottom is a bit mucky at first but will clear away to sand after swimming a bit. My kids swam every day and enjoyed jumping off of the dock into the water. They also enjoyed s'mores every night in the firepit down by the lake. There is no air conditioning and only one fan, so plan accordingly. Baldwin, the nearest town, does not have much for entertainment. But this is a great place to get away from it all if that is what you are looking for.

2/10 Terrible

This place was horrible. smelled of mildew with Mouse poop on the couch, bathroom, bedrooms!!

The mice infestation was horrible. While making meals, mice were running around. Tried to sit on the couch to watch a movie with our children, mice were coming out!! Homeowners reply, "You're in the National forest there will be pests". Mice are due to homeowner negligence not the location of the property, I Personally bought traps. Not to mention no place to put our personal belongings. Homeowner left his clothing, duffle bags, shoes, and countless other personal belonging in every closet, drawer, and storage area, KY lubricant and tissues next to bed, (which my preteen and teenager saw), nightstand was filthy. Hard to relax in someone else's filth . Everything needed to be cleaned before we could even set things down. Homeowners food, beer and alcohol filled the refrigerator and freezer. Had to organize and move out of the way homeowners items before unloading ours. I wanted to leave, but this was our one family vacation this year, so we stuck it out for the kids. Homeowner Made up erroneous charges to keep the deposit (screen door of track= $105.00 fifty dollars to clean Did we mention the mouse dropping throughout the home's interior Our son's asthma was in overdrive due to the mildew and mouse feces. The picture he has on the website ARE NOT the lake the house is on as he would not post picture of that mucky bottom pond. The exterior of the property still is waiting for a spring clean-up (it's August) weeds in walkway to dock 2'+ in height ( great for the bugs), Coffee pot didn't work (had to drive 25 minutes 1 way for a store that had coffee pots), Wifi was spotty at best, toilet needed plunging at least 5 times in 1 week of staying, bedding was disgusting so many stains and ?, there are so many nice places in the area I will never stay at any place this sleazy property owner has again I would not recommend this place to anyone, customer service is non-existent, Owner sends paperwork for rental 1 week prior to reservation informs us of no linensor blankets, no toiletries, has 2 dirty watercrafts but we needed to supply life vests,

We loved this place. Clean, pretty, homey, perfect spot on the lake.

Strongly recommend this rental. A week of quiet on a Lil lake, a few minutes stroll to a Big lake. House is clean. big. Great deck overlooking the lake. Nice bathroom. Open kitchen. Plenty of sleeping space. Owners were awesome. This was our first Home away experience. and everything went smoothly. The location is perfect for my husband and I ..kayakers. About 5 minutes to the canoe livery for car spotting, the ranger station for permits. 2 minutes to a local bar and golf course. I can't stop missing sitting on the deck, having a cup of coffee and watching the morning begin. I wanna go backkkkkkk.
