Cottage in Seashore, A/C in each BDRM! 375 Paces to Ocean, 3 BDRMs, 6 people-max

Walk to the Ocean Beach! Any questions 845.570.7495. Text for quote, including possible owner paying taxes. With reduced beach parking to lessen the number of beach goers, imagine being able to park your car in the driveway, walk to the beach, to the bakeries, and a great restaurant. Ride your bike about 1/8 of a mile to the bike trail. If you pick up enough groceries, you can almost never have to get in your car! This 3 Bdrm Cottage sleeps a MAXIMUM of 6 people (including children and infants). The cottage has A/C in each of the bedrooms, as well as ceiling fans. Walk down a sandy path to Maquires Landing beach. Within walking distance to PB Boulangerie and Blue Willow Bakery. Enjoy a cup of coffee or yoga on the roof deck, while gazing out to the dunes and ocean in the distance. There is a washer and dryer in a laundry room about 150' away from the cottage. Included is a charcoal grill, screened in porch, fireplace, full kitchen, and a beautiful flower garden! There is an outdoor shower (in addition to an indoor shower), sandy play area for children in back of the cottage.

RESERVATION POLICY

The cottage is available for rental from Memorial Day Weekend until the end of September.
Summer rentals are Sunday to Sunday with a 7 night minimum.
Damage Protection: A $500 security deposit is required for damage or exdcessive cleaning caused by neglect, the guest will be liable for all costs.

Our well and septic systems are sized for the maximum occupancy allowed to protect our fragile area. We cannot allow even one extra person over the maximum of 6 people including babies. Strictly enforced!!! Also, there is parking for (2) cars. No trailers, boats, campers are allowed to be parked in the driveway or on the property.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations are considered as commitments for the full time period requested. Deposits are viewed as security against vacancies caused by cancellations or date changes. A 50% deposit is required with the reservation agreement and the balance due 30 days before the date of the reservation.

We understand that there are many legitimate reasons to have to cancel a reservation, some personal, some tragic and some are just unavoidable. If you cannot risk forfeiting your deposit, we would suggest "Trip Cancellation Insurance." (See below)

Sorry, no refunds given for early departures. Try as we might, we cannot guarantee weather.

If a reservation is cancelled, we will try to re-rent the cottage. If the cottage is rented at the the same price as the original rental, a full return will be given, less any commission to a 3rd party, should they fill the time period. If the new rental is less than the original cost, then the difference will be refunded, also less any commissions paid.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE

We highly recommend that you consider trip cancellation insurance if there is a chance that you might not be able to honor your reservation. We especially recommend this insurance if you are making a reservation during hurricane season (August, September and September).

GENERAL SURF SIDE POLICIES (Oceanside Cottage is a part of Surf Side Condominium so all Condo Policies MUST be adhered to)

CHECK-IN, CHECK-OUT
CHECK-IN TIME for cottage rentals is 4 pm. In-season, early check-ins are rarely possible since we only have a limited time to get our cottages ready for the next renter.

CHECK-OUT TIME is 10:00 am. We are sorry but because we only have a limited time to get our cottages ready for the next renter, late check-outs are usually not possible.

QUIET HOURS
Quite hours begin at 10:00 pm each night. During "Quiet Hours" all guests are asked to restrict their activities, both inside and outside their cottage, to those that do not impact their neighbors. This includes, but is not restricted to, those activities that may awaken a sleeping child next door.

Failure to follow the quiet hour policy that results in complaints can result in being asked to leave. Should this action be necessary, there is no refund of money! Sorry, but this is necessary to ensure that everyone can enjoy their stay.

LINENS AND CLEANING
PROVIDED IN THE COTTAGE: Blankets, pillows, Bedspreads, dishes, pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven, stove, refrigerator, charcoal BBQ (unless otherwise noted), outdoor picnic table. Most cottages have land-line telephones with private numbers.

NOT PROVIDED: Sheets, pillowcases and towels, including beach towels, and household paper products are not provided.

RENTAL LINENS AND TOWELS: Sheets, pillowcases and towels can be rented for the week, with advance notice, for the additional fee of $20.00 per person.

PLEASE REMEMBER: These are housekeeping cottages. There is no maid service. Cleaning supplies are provided. All renters are expected to leave the cottage neat and clean for the next renter. Cleaning guidelines are provided. Our staff go in between renters to sanitize the kitchen and bath but the cottage should already be clean. When you reserve a cottage with us, you are agreeing to leave the cottage in the same condition as you found it. In the event that the cottage is not left in the condition found, additional cleaning fees will be deducted from the security deposit, as will any damages.

SMOKING: All of our cottages are non-smoking. Please smoke outside, keep ashtrays outdoors and smoke away from open doors and windows. Thank You.

Hi, we've been annual Cape Cod visitors since the 1980's, and have been coming to Surfside since our daughter was 2 years old (1994). In 2005 we purchased our cottage 'Oceanside' at Surfside and have been renting it out to guests, while spending lots of weekends in April, May, and October, traveling up from Pearl River, NY and braving the I-95 traffic, often at 5 PM on a Friday or Thursday after work. Ughh!!! Now, we are both retired and no longer dealing with the We still spend much of April, May, and October at our cottage, but often splitting time between projects on our home in Pearl River, as well, as an eventual retirement home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Why they chose this property

Surf Side Cottages, in Wellfleet began accommodating Cape Cod visitors in 1947, they have proved, time and again, that old, real estate adage that the three most important things a property should have are: "Location, location, location."
Surf Side Cottages' longevity is also directly attributable to being in a good location.
A cottage by the sea is surely better than one located out in the woods or on Route 6 for a number of reasons.
1. City dwellers spend hundreds of dollars to buy machines that create "white-noise" to mask the urban sounds so they can sleep at night.
Here at Surf Side Cottages, there are some nights where the constant sound of the waves crashing on the shore is nature's white noise lulling you to some of the most restful sleep you will experience. I'm not
saying that you can hear the surf from your cottage all the time, but when the sea is "angry," or just in a bad mood, our guests notice either a constant, dull roar or a rhythmic crash throughout our colony of cottages.
2. Wellfleet visitors are often heard complaining that after they have paid $90 dollars to buy a beach parking permit, in the summertime, they find the beach parking lots filled when they arrive, leaving them no options but to either wait in their car or to drive on to look for a spot at another beach.

At Surf Side Cottage you don't need a beach parking pass,you don't even need to pack the car since the beach is just a short walk away.
Another plus is that, even though the beach parking lots close after dark, renters at Surf Side have "round the clock access" to the beach. This makes moonlight strolls and nighttime bonfires on the beach definite possibilities.
3. Anyone who has been on Cape Cod in the summertime knows that traffic is a way of life. Obtaining accommodations on Route 6, or on a side road off of Route 6 simply means that you and your car will be a part of that traffic. At Surfside, you can literally park and not have to get in your car again!

What makes this property unique

Close enough to see the ocean from the roof deck, and to hear the waves at night. If it's really hot, just close the windows and turn on the A/C. Not many cottages have this luxury.
