We loved this property and its location. The separate quarters over two different floors worked well for our family reunion. The beach is right outside, and the pool was great. The sunset views from the second floor deck were perfect. The house had everything we needed, and Felix, the host/property manager was super responsive.
As a surfing family this location was ideal. Sandy beach, great breaks, and crystal clear water. Selcluded seashell walks along the beach and probably some of the best sunrises and sunsets we’ve seen. The grassy area on the beach on the property was perfect to sit in during some very windy periods. Aguada is a very cute little town and the farmers market had some unique local artwork. All the toys for the beach and pool were perfect for what we needed. The property manager, Felix, was extremely helpful with anything that was needed if we had a question. Marvelous.
It is a great house and well-kept for being so close to the water! Lots of bikes, body boards, paddle boards, and anything else you would want for the beach. The rooms are large, and the AC is good throughout the house. Rooftop decks for watching the sunsets! We lost power on New Year’s Eve but the home is prepared for this with solar and generator backup! Our only complaint would be the condition of the beach, I get it’s not something you would advertise hopefully this problem gets rectified in the near future!
We loved watching and hearing the waves. The beach had a large collection of driftwood which needed to be navigated. Steps down from grass would have been an improvement. Existing steps need help. Family loved searching for sea glass. Thank you for the warning us about undercurrent. Thank you for having equipment for beach.
This was the perfect retreat to relax and celebrate our friend's 50th birthday!
The home was immaculate, spacious, conveniently located, and had outstanding views of the sea. The beds were extremely comfortable and the closets were HUGE.
Double-paned windows kept the property very quiet. The pool, waterfall, grills, multiple kitchens, karaoke, speaker, onsite laundry, and all of the bikes and water accessories were amazing touches! Juan and Felix were very responsive and helpful - we greatly appreciate their hospitality.
In terms of improvements, the jacuzzi tub on the second floor appears to be broken, but still is nice for a soak. It would have been helpful to have a printed/framed sign with the various key codes and WiFi info inside so that they didn't have to be passed around through texts. Also, signs where there are unexpected steps or large steps would be welcome - lots of those throughout the property. Finally, only salt was available in the kitchen - additional seasonings such as salt and Adobo would have been nice to have.
The overall experience more than compensated for these minor flaws. We definitely hope to return in the future!
We had a wonderful experience! Juan was extremely accommodating and went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. This is the perfect house for a weekend getaway with a group of friends. Would definitely stay again.
Our family stayed at this incredible property from Friday, July 12 to Friday, July 19, and it was nothing short of spectacular! We had a diverse group ranging from ages 4 to 70, and every single one of us absolutely loved our time here.
The size of the house was perfect for our large family, offering ample space for everyone to relax and enjoy their vacation. The luxurious amenities, especially the in-ground private saltwater pool, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. The oceanfront views were breathtaking, and the gated property ensured we felt secure and at ease throughout our visit.
A special mention must go to Felix, the caretaker. His attentiveness and warm hospitality made our experience even more memorable. Felix went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly demeanor truly made us feel at home.
We can't say enough good things about the house and the wonderful people we met during our stay. This place exceeded all our expectations and provided a perfect backdrop for a week of unforgettable family memories.
Thank you for an amazing stay, Dover family.
Our family really enjoyed our week-long stay at Blue Horizon. The location was very convenient to Rincon and Aguadilla on the days we wanted to explore, and the beachfront access, pool and deck were perfect for days relaxing at the house. The layout, bedrooms/bathrooms felt very spacious for 13 guests. Felix was helpful when needed and always a text away. A couple of small suggestions: better knives in the kitchen for cooking would be helpful, and adding more board games and puzzles for guests to use. Thanks very much!
We stayed in this property for our son’s wedding in nearby property. The property manager Felix was great and responsive for any needs! The house was clean and met our needs for this trip. We appreciated the generator onsite with island power issues. AC in common areas was a huge plus! The beach is accessible and the kids were able to swim and play close to the house. The pool is on small side like the photos but wasn’t an issue since kids stayed on beach. There are definitely nicer beaches that you can visit in PR but this didn’t require a car ride or long walk.
My only knock on house is being a bit dated and bathrooms could definitely use ventilation and vanity area for storage and getting ready after bathing. But you are at the beach!
Thanks for hosting our group! Thank you Felix for your attention and kindness!
Had a blast on our multigenerational trip with the house being a perfect place to stay. Really enjoyed the paddle boarding, beach walks, and biking. The “Steps Beach” in Rincón was our favorite beach as it had good shade, great snorkeling, and was extremely beautiful. Would love to return here! Gracias Felix!
Had a lovely time. Beach was awesome. The path to get to beach needs some stairs as it’s hard for kids and really hurts feet. Weather was iffy but warm and relaxing. Felix the manager was a gem. There was no cleaning service at all during the entire week which was disappointing for the cost of the service fee and cleaning I expected at lease one day mid week cleaning. All my other VRBOs in this price point had that kind of service. Regardless we had a blast.
We stayed at this property for a friends wedding at Casa Herdz. The property was everything it said it was and more! We had a wonderful time. The owner was amazing, he answered every question and we had a lot of them! if we are ever in Aguadilla, we would definitely come back and stay here.
Easy to find and very relaxing well-stocked home with heated pool and beach front. No issues with anything working properly. Very private except for locals who would regularly come up the road next to the house to see the beach(?), and often come within a couple feet of the privacy wall around the pool. Nice town with quaint restaurants only a bike ride away. Felix was helpful and kind. Did some minor cleaning touch ups upon arrival.

A myriad of problems
When we arrived, the pool was not heated. It was advertised as a heated pool. I contacted the owner and he says the heater just broke. Why didn’t he tell us? And he couldn’t fix it for a week. That would be our entire stay. I was livid but what could we do? He should have told us and given us a discount. When you pay this much you want what you paid for. Then the supposed spa turns out to be a bath tub with jets that don’t work. Then the next day while my daughter is taking a shower the toilet backs up and there was poop all over the bathroom and hall floors. We turned off the water to the toilet but there was poop everywhere!! Then the toilet in the master bath runs through all night. Then some
Tank on the roof starts running and runs every few minutes which can be heard in all the bedrooms on the second floor. The water in the downstairs shower was not hot and it was a trickle.
The ground keeper, Felix, was our savior. He came immediately when we called about the toilet overflowing and cleaned up that night and disinfected the floors. He got the jets in the non-spa working, he fixed the toilet that was running through. He fixed things. He was wonderful and came very fast. But the point is they were issues we had to deal with and we shouldn’t have had them. Who want to take time out of their vacation to deal with poop on the floor and toilets running all night and a cold swimming pool. By the way, the part did come the morning of the last day we were there
Nice place, a little dated but many issues due to power outages and weather. Felix, the property manager was terrific, so kind and helpful. But our entire stay was full of things not working, no hot water, the pool was supposed to be heated, it was not, one bedroom A/C was not working right, too many things to detail. Felix did his best. Asked for some credit for the very expensive 3 night stay but owner said they are not responsible for weather issues. I guess that is true, but would have been very helpful in this situation. I would not recommend this rental.
We had an amazing stay in Aguada at Blue Horizon. What a perfect location to experience all the west coast of PR has to offer. The beach out front is amazing to walk and explore first thing in the morning and to catch amazing sunsets. We also enjoyed boogey boarding on “our beach”. The house was perfect for our 3 couples, it would easily accommodate another couple or two and would also be great for a couple of families with children. There were so many things provided: bikes, SUP, boogey boards, beach chairs and toys, beach towels, etc.
The property owner and manager were both fantastic to work with. Instructions to access the property were clear and communication with the property manager was great for our entire stay.
We had an amazing long weekend and are hopeful to have the chance to visit again soon.
We booked the entire Blue Horizon Villa for our family (8 adults and 2 small children) Christmas vacation at the beach. This Villa is right on the beach. The accommodations were great - very roomy bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, workable kitchen. There was even a crib for the littlest grandchild. There was enough room for everyone to have some privacy, as well as to get together as a group.
There are several verandas which allow you to enjoy the sun (or stars) and warm breezes with an expansive view of the ocean. The pool is a small lap pool- our grandchildren loved it. There was a ton of recreational gear (paddleboards, boogey boards, bikes, beach umbrellas, sand toys, life jackets for the little ones, etc) available to use. The weather was perfect the entire time and a welcome respite from winter weather we had all travelled from.
The host, Juan, was very responsive and friendly, as was the caretaker, Felix. They even decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree, etc.
The only disappointment was that the beach in front of the villa was covered with piles of driftwood in back of the hightide line. You have to pick you way through the driftwood piles to get to the water. The broad sandy beach in the pictures did not exist. The beach was fine for walking, but not really usable for sunbathing or a picnic. We did find beautiful beaches a 20 min drive away.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to a large group.
If you did nothing but watch from the deck as the sun set and moon rose over the crashing waves, the stay here would be worth every penny. The home is beautiful, and the setting ideal. The hosts did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our trip to Puerto Rico! We'd love to come back one day.
This home hands down made our trip worth the stay. The Host were accommodating to all our needs and Felix the groundsman was always around to help. My now fiancé purposed to me on the beach in front of the home. It was perfect. We even accidentally left some personal items in the home and they mailed them to us right away. The home was beautiful and everything we needed was there. We hardly left the home because we were so happy to just be there and enjoy the views. We will be coming and staying again.
