Hatteras Hideaway - Perfect for wanting to enjoy all that Columbia has to offer.

You will feel right at home in our cozy Hatteras Hideaway! We are located less than 5 minutes away from Highway 63 and a 15 minute walk to grocery store. There is a children's playground only a few blocks away in our quiet neighborhood.

We have spacious 9 foot ceilings and plenty of windows for a light and airy stay! You will enjoy over 1300 square feet of space in the complete lower level of our home with your very own entrance with a keypad. We do live upstairs, but keep our foot traffic and noise to a minimum. Guests have access to a microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, Keurig coffee maker and assorted glassware. The kitchenette is well stocked with wine opener, knives, coffee cups, wine glasses, etc. so guests may prepare food and drinks. We have provided teas, coffees, sugars, and creamers for beverages. We have a few snacks including granola bars, popcorn, etc. There are four chairs located at the bar top.

There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom with a full length mirror, ample closet space with hangers, a dresser, an iron and ironing board. Towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is available in the bathroom. The pull-out queen sofa in the living room is BRAND NEW. We also offer a new queen air mattress. We can assure that you will have a comfortable stay.

There is access to Sling TV, Netflix, and the local channels on our flat screen TV. WiFi is also available.

You will enjoy our beautiful and relaxing backyard oasis . There is a propane fire pit, four comfy lounge chairs with more upon request and an adirondack love seat for your enjoyment of the outdoors.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this property again! My daughter is a student at MU so my ex-husband and I went to visit her and car shop. The bed was very comfortable and I didnt want to get up lol. My ex enjoyed the comfy sofa. The basement was very spacious and everything was very clean. Nice touches with the Keurig coffee maker and extra blankets.

At we wasn't sure because of the distance from freeway, but looking at the map there was a freeway that connected to the freeway we was to take when leaving and it reduced the time to get where we was going. The property owner communicated with us to call or text them if we need anything. Awesome experience.

Perfect stopover on long road trip

Spacious area well suited to accommodating a teen family as we travelled through. A quiet spot to rest after a day of travel. Ted and Peggy were so helpful as we communicated with them prior to our stay. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. A Quick stay in Columbia

I got to Columbia late so I appreciated the seamless check in process. I was just in town for the one day for a ceremony at Mizzou campus. The house was beautiful and very cozy. Given the chance, I would definetly stay here here again!

Perfect For Our Overnight Stay

We booked this location mainly because my 84 yr old dad was having an early morning medical procedure and always sleeps in a recliner. The recliner availability and the many special touches of the home were so welcoming. It met all of our needs. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy this hideaway!

This was a very cute, spacious, well decorated place with plenty of privacy in a really nice neighborhood. The extra touches were very nice (snacks, board games to use, movies), and the owners were very kind and friendly making sure our needs were met. This place was above and beyond our expectations. The overall four stars was only because the bed was way too soft and rolled toward the middle which made for some body aches in the morning. I found the love seat recliner to be a better option for sleep. Our son slept on the hide-a-bed with a memory foam topper they provided, and woke with some aches as well. We did not try the airbed, also provided, so that might have been a better option. Again, this was a charming place and the beds were the only concern we had.

Wow! They thought of EVERYTHING!

This is by far THE BEST place we've stayed in our travels! The owners have taken the time and effort to think of everything we could possibly want or need. Hattaras Hideaway is very spacious and it feels like coming "home". They even decorated for Christmas which was very unexpected but so enjoyable! Other places have had the basics - but often felt like bare echo chambers. These owners have made everything warm, inviting, and comfortable...and added LOTS of special touches...even to the outside space. And everything was extremely clean and fresh! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay. Everything the owners have done is so appreciated! We had a great time in Columbia with a fantastic place to kick back and relax in the evenings and get a good night's sleep for the next day.

Football Stay

There are four of us that come to Columbia every year for the Missouri High School football champiohship games. Finding a hotel can somethimes be difficult, so this year we decided to try something different. Everything worked out great. Peggy was very nice and helpful in accomidating us. Thanks!
