Christmas 2024

A great place to stay with loads of space for a family with adult sons. It was so peaceful, the perfect spot to recharge at the end of a busy time with work. The river is a definite plus for swimming, rafting and just sitting and relaxing beside. It’s a good short walk into town with history to soak up and walks under large trees in the heat of the day. A good spot to go on longer walks from like up to Mt Pinnacle or School Hill. Jamieson Brewery is a must - just take your water bottle to avoid having to buy water.

Relax and Restore by the River

The house and the area are beautiful. So clever to turn the house to face the river so there are gorgeous views from all the rooms. The house is comfortable and great design to stay in with any age range. Everything you needed and more. The entire property was well looked after and the garden was well maintained and mown.The host Ailia was lovely, very helpful and quick to respond. So lovely to be on the water and the pictures were so accurate, the river really is at your back door. Enjoyed the our stay so much. Just wanted to keep saying “ah the serenity” Would highly recommend this as a holiday get away for any season and hope we will be back

We enjoyed our stay everything was perfect the location was absolutely beautiful ,it’s only there wasn’t enough toilets paper for the 6ppl stayed for 2 days so we have drive to get ourself that and there wasn’t any tissue in there otherwise anything else was great

Everything that you could want for a relaxing holiday - a spotless home with your own river frontage. Adults and kids alike were in heaven! (For the wine lovers: make sure your visit Mount Terrible winery just down the road!)

Great Location

Great location and we had a great time, however, the house is looking a little tired. For the price charged we would have liked the home paddock mowed, a decent bbq and the third bedroom to have a decent bed - the futon is not acceptable another double bed is needed.

Perfect place for R&R

4 adults & 4 kids spent a wonderful 4 nights at Jamieson River Run playing in the river, exploring the property and enjoying the peace and quiet. Suprise 40th Getaway

This property is amazing, the owners keep the property immaculate, even with the cold weather we had a perfect stay with the fire inside keeping us very warm and the fire pit outside, the hosts are great to deal with, the view down to the river is magic, we spent 4 nights and wished we were staying for two weeks, what a perfect spot, we will definitely be back

Glorious high country getaway

This is a superb, brand new, well equipped home in a beautiful location. We stayed (family with two kids 4 and 6 y/o) and had a ball. Easy walk to town, gorgeous area that is fun to explore and easy to get to Mansfield (picturesque 30min drive). Highly recommend.

Real country living

Property was picture perfect surrounded by wildlife we even got to witness one of the cows walking down the river. Pure fresh country air. Amazing clean and easy to access property with everything to keep everyone entertained.

Hi, I’m Ailia! We’ve been sharing our little slice of paradise with guests since 2018.

Jamieson is our home away from home, and when we’re here, you’ll usually find us tending to the property—whether it’s maintenance or trying (often unsuccessfully!) to keep the deer, kangaroos, and rabbits away from our trees.

One of our favorite summer traditions is kayaking to the brewery, and we love hiking the local hills year-round.

We hope you find as much peace and joy here as we do.

Why they chose this property

Living in suburban Melbourne, we wanted our home away from home to be a true escape—somewhere without direct neighbors but still close enough to town for a coffee, a pub meal, or a relaxed lunch.

The biggest drawcard? Our 250 metres of private river frontage. We spend most of summer in the water, whether swimming, kayaking to town, or paddling down to the brewery. It’s the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
