Welcome to Villa Sundance. Villa Sundance is an executive pool home with two large suites and a separate bedroom. It's tucked into the quiet Sundance neighborhood of Palm Desert. Within a five minute drive is Marriott’s Shadow Ridge Golf Club, The Desert Willow Golf Resort, Desert Falls Country Club, and the Palm Valley Country Club.

The home opens up into a large foyer with a sitting room to the left, looking toward a wall of glass across the great room that opens out to the covered patio. The patio sits next to the sparkling pool with elevated spa in the private yard that is secluded with mature greenery. The ten foot ceilings throughout add to the feeling of space in an already generously sized house.

Once settled, prepare a meal in the large kitchen with dual ovens and marble countertops at the heart of the home. Or join the fun outside with the hardwired gas grille as you look at the great western view of the mountains.

If you prefer to stay inside, enjoy the built in surround sound in the great room, or retreat to read a book in the sitting room or large bedrooms. The house strikes a perfect balance with open concept and privacy, so you can be as social or private as you want to be at any given time.

Don’t worry about your vehicles because there’s plenty of room in the two car garage to accommodate.

In general, no matter what your activity is outside of the home, the place is designed to relax while you’re in it. It’s why my wife and I bought it in the first place. Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy as much as we do.

Great stay

The house was perfect for us. J.C. the host was super helpful. Was very prompt with any questions we had. He brought us a porta crib and high chair when he found out our grandbaby was going to visit us. He brought my husband an office chair too since he was working virtual. He lives close by and manages thecpropery himself which was a real pluf for us.

Great Location, had a great time.

We noticed a couple minor things that could be fixed. In the bedroom near patio the towel bar is loose. Also the TP holder, one side comes loose from the wall. Bedroom near garage the bottom track on the shower is loose. The of the lounges the seat ripped from normal use. Some the others looked frayed.

Great Palm Desert House in Excellent Condition

JC & Kindra were very gracious and accepting hosts with a beautiful house in a great location of Palm Desert. Very close to shops and golf courses. Was an enjoyable place to spend Christmas. Would recommend them to friends & family. Thanks again JC & Kindra.

Great house and perfect for those who use a walker

Everything about the stay was better than we expected. I am a senior citizen who uses a walker. I had no trouble getting into all the rooms, around furniture and because of the lay out of the pool I could get a little exercise by walking around the pool with the walker. The location was perfect for us.

A great getaway!

Palm Desert

Great location. Great back yard. We have done VRBO's several times and this was a very good experience. Basic needs for a weeks visit were mostly there which eliminated at least a trip or two to the store for TP, paper towels, salt, pepper, .............. Nice getaway place for 2 couples or a family. Nice quiet neighborhood.

House was INCREDIBLE. The perfect desert getaway!

My girlfriend and I come from Sweden. We were hoping to get a true "California desert" experience and we definitely got that here! Hot sun, palm trees, swimming pool, gorgeous vistas, outdoor grill and a big, beautiful house. It was perfect. The house is close to Joshua Tree National Park where we spent a day exploring (which is amazing). The property matched the description and the owners were very courteous. We would absolutely recommend it to our friends and we hope to come back ourselves!

Great house!

The place was clean and very spacious. Everything you need for a great vacation. Owners were very quick to respond to a question I had. Only reason for 4 stars is the need to be very quiet while in the backyard.

Beautiful home in a nice neighborhood in Palm Desert

At the last minute we decided to spend the week between Christmas and New Years in the desert so I didn't start the reservation process until two days before we left. The owner was vacationing in Poland but he got back to us quickly despite the time difference and got us all set up very efficiently. He checked in by email after we got there which I appreciated-. There are pictures of the owners in the destination-themed bedrooms (all with California Kings) and after our email chats, I felt like I almost knew him. Very nice guy. The house is well stocked with everything you need (but bring your own shampoo) and the instruction manual is clear and easy to follow. Comfortable bed and pillows in the master and the TV has Netflix and Amazon (also in the great room). There are some older pool toys but we didn't use them--in fact, we didn't use the pool because it was in the shade much of the day (due to the time of year). It was nice to park in the huge garage so the car wasn't boiling when we got in. The owner warned us about a grumpy neighbor who complains if you make too much noise, but we never had a problem. I'd recommend this house and owner and I'd definitely like to stay there again. Thank you, James, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The Perfect Getaway

We loved our time at Villa Sundance. The house is amazing! Everything we needed was literally within arms reach as we needed it - they thought of everything. We relaxed as a family, cut loose in the pool, and it was an incredible time. The amenities were incredible and the rooms were perfect for all five of us. We're already planning on going back!

Great location, nice property

We stayed 6 days in extreme heat (up to 123'!) and with the $20 per day electric upgrade, the house stayed cool all week. J.C. was available to guide us through a quick AC glitch and was very accommodating. The pool was perfect, location was great, and overall we had a great work/vacation stay.

Greatest start to summer with the family!

My boys and I went the week school got out in Washington. We stayed for 5 amazing days swimming and enjoying the heat. The backyard is a private oasis complete with a pool, spa and hammock for long naps. The dry heat is great for anyone up north! The home is beautiful and fully furnished. The 2 master baths are pristine. The open layout of the dining and living room is perfect for a family or friends vacation. The home could easily support 3 small families. It was truly above and beyond my expectations when I booked it.

Nice house in a quiet neighbourhood

We just got back from an 8-day stay. We stay in Palm Springs a couple times every year and always rent on VRBO, so we have a fair amount of context between homes. Some of our thoughts: - nice house in good condition, the kitchen is big and well stocked. everything in the house worked - J.C was super responsive, which I appreciated given we had some questions for him. He seemed genuinely interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay. - the rooms are massive and the beds are big. The high ceilings make the space feel very generous, a very different feeling from the midcentury modern houses we normally stay in - the floor plan was really good, which allowed our kids to sleep well, but maintain some privacy in the house when others are still awake. - we found the pool controls quite confusing, and it actually took a couple days to get this resolved. The owner was very responsive and helpful, but the settings were incorrect and we didn't want to adjust them without getting approval. A small frustration when you are paying for the heat, but it's not working to your expectation and agreement. Once the filters were changed on day 6, the pool heated up a lot faster...but until then, the pool heat didn't get to the desired temperature until after 2pm, which made the pool less useful in the mornings for our youngest child that likes warm water. We had difficulty getting the spa to heat up as well, but this was related to the settings... We like the house and JC was very responsive and helpful, but we prefer staying in Palm Springs vs. Palm Desert, as there is more to do and more places within walking distance (parks, non strip-mall restaurants, etc.). The pool is on the smaller side of things, and shallow at just ~ 5ft in the deep end...things to consider if size and depth are important to your experience. It was nice to stay in a newer house, where everything inside worked well, and they had a good quality tv and stereo to enjoy. The outside deck was a nice covered area to eat outside for bfast and lunch and escape the sun.

Impeccably clean, exceptionally furnished and stocked, with space galore and outdoor room too!

Owners were very responsive and friendly. Location quiet, convenient and great to avoid congestion as you explore the valley. We enjoyed a month of relaxation!

One of the best

Spent a few weeks at this house in January and was very impressed. exceeded all my expectations. JC is a wonderful host. replied to my questions immediately with helpful answers and solutions (very few BTW). I rent frequently thru VRBO and this overall experience was five star!! Good place for family gathering

We enjoyed Christmas here with our family. Good spacious layout , nice yard with pool and spa, quiet neighborhood. A great gathering spot. The owners are very responsive, accommodating and friendly. Everything worked well and there is a great manual for the property. Very satisfied!

Better than described

This house looked great on the website, but it was even better in person! JC was very responsive when I had a couple of questions on our arrival. The house is exceptionally clean, and in a very good location. We enjoyed the backyard and the barbecue, and of course the pool. Next time I travel to Palm Desert this is my first choice for a place to stay.

Great for a long term stay!

My husband and I stayed for seven weeks this winter. Upon our arrival we were met by the owners and made to feel extremely welcome. The house had everything that we needed. We made good use of the outdoor grill. The house is centrally located. It was a short drive to several hiking trails. Our children and grandchildren joined us for the last week of our stay. There was plenty of room for everyone with the three bedrooms and the pull out sofa. Our grandchildren loved the pool and spent most of their time there. The beds are comfortable and the house is clean. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone.

Extremely pleasant and comfortable stay

My family and I stayed in this gorgeous home for a week over winter break. The house feels very "home-y" and we found ourselves not missing anything. The beds are so comfortable, it was easy to sleep in almost every morning! Downtown Palm Springs is close and lovely, lots of shops and restaurants. The Palm Springs Art Museum was also nice. After an afternoon of walking around, it was a treat to come back to the house and relax in the spa. At night, the very extensive DVD collection proved itself to be just what we needed, we each chose a movie every night and there are some great classics. The kitchen was a great plus, it's very spacious and nice to cook in! The view of the mountains when walking outside of the house onto the street was always impressive. Overall, great stay and this little getaway was just what we all needed before school/work starts again. Would definitely recommend to my friends.

Perfect vacation home for family and friends

We flew down for a 6 day/5 night vacation as a family. We have a 3 month old and this house is setup perfectly to accommodate children. There are two master suites, both with huge master closets. We setup the crib in one of the walk-in closets and it worked perfectly. We were able to plug in our sons sound machine and monitor inside the closet. With the doors closed it was very dark and the perfect temperature for him to sleep soundly. Even with a large gathering of people on one of our nights didn't wake our sleeping baby! There were 8 adults and 4 children that night. We couldn't believe it with all of the noise we were making! Our friends stayed with us during this trip and they also had a young child (3 years old). He slept great in the front bedroom with his parents. The furnishings are very nice and new, including comfy beds. The interior has new paint and carpets and lots of space. Spacious kitchen with loads of cupboards and refrigerator space, including a large dining table. The backyard has new grass, a relaxing hammock, great lounge chairs and a pool/hot tub that you never want to leave! We enjoyed BBQing on the grill and having dinners as a family at the patio table. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a family-friendly place to stay on their vacation. We enjoyed how quiet the location was and hope to come back again in the future for more rest and relaxation as a family.

Perfect match for a golf event

Our foursome got together for an excellent weekend of golf and the home was, in a word, perfect. Proximity to first rate golf, convenience of location to shops and dining, close to the airport - all good. The house itself is very accommodating both indoors and poolside. It gets our unanimous endorsement for anyone looking to visit the area for golf or other activities.

Very nice home with pool

Stayed here for a weekend and really enjoyed the place. Very open and lots of room. Seemed like most everything in the place was brand new. Great pool and nice backyard. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

My wife and I currently live in Pasadena, but come out to the desert to get away from the hustle of LA frequently. I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest, and my wife was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. I ended up in LA from Seattle due to a music scholarship to Azusa Pacific University, and my wife ended up in LA due to an athletic scholarship to USC. Fortunately, we found each other, and have been building a life together ever since. We're happy to share our home when we are not able to use it ourselves.

Why they chose this property

It's a newer build with an open concept floorplan and high ceilings, but it also has plenty of space to escape to solitude if you so choose. The mature greenery on the property makes it feel very private, and it's in a very quiet neighborhood. This neighborhood of Palm Desert is much quieter than other areas, however, it's still close to everything that Palm Desert has to offer. Also, the backyard is glorious.

What makes this property unique

This isn't a tiny house with a nice backyard, or a big house with a tiny yard like many of the equivalently priced homes, it's a big house with a nice backyard. There's more than enough room for the six that this home sleeps.
