Awesome Beachfront House in Lincoln City

Perfect Oregon coast getaway with Oceanfront views, sounds, and smells. Lots of space, exceptionally clean, and many shops/restaurants in walking distance. The stairway access to the beach directly from the property was great!

2nd stay really great spot

2nd time staying here. Great spot. Worth noting. 2 fire detectors were not working. One missing completely in downstairs bedroom. One off the ceiling downstairs in den also. Fireplace doesnt work and its listed as amenity on site. Bathroom door on middle floor doesnt close unless u lift the handle up real hard to get it to latch. Def recommend staying here for sure. Just figured worth noting on the minor repairs. Would stay again

Perfect Location

Our adult family stayed here and greatly enjoyed the home. The location was perfect for all of our activities and the view of the ocean and beach was great. Often one can find a view of the ocean, but it is much better with a view of the beach and crashing waves. Having a private pathway and stairs to the beach was also nice.

Sibling retreat

This is an older home wonderfully updated… three levels , beds were fine, view spectacular, new deck and railing much appreciated for my sight impaired sibling. The stairs and path to beach were hairy first time down, then piece of cake. Some of us chose to walk five houses down south to a ramp onto beach. Of course it’s been mentioned in previous posts, the smoke alarm went off two and three times a day. Lots of towels and great laundry room. Needed more parking for visitors. We all agreed it was a perfect vacation house. Thank you..

Ad over sold on layout. Overpriced. Choppy layout. hot a check in. AC appears to be undersized. AC ran 90% of the time. Took a good day to get unit cooled down. Kitchen crowed. 3 floors, too many steps. Garbage can over flowing. Called but only removed 1/3 of garbage. Smelled bad the whole time. Leak under left sink. Concrete steps to beach dangerous due to no left handrail Great parking 4 vehicles. Great towel supply. Dishwasher does not cry well. Plumbing fixtures worked fine. Beds adequate, Clean unit. Adequate cooking utensils. Refrigerators, stove and venting worked. Smoke alarm in hallway off kitchen always alarmed when cooking. Very time consuming, and auditory pain. Not sure which window but could not lock it. South door entrance to 1st floor has wide space to step over. Potential falling area accented when carrying something from the beach or parking area. Screen door off kitchen, eating area needs a rope or device when propping screen door open to hold it to railing, Strong wind could destroy the door and its mountings Hose great location to wash off sand. Greatest assets: Parking, steps to beach and view We appreciate to stay at the Silk Purse.

Beautiful, peaceful place

This property was perfect! Ive never felt so peaceful. Views of the beach throughout the house, clean, comfortable, easy access right down to the beach. We had two groups of us so one group was upstairs and one group had their own space downstairs. It was absolutely perfect! Id love to stay again!

Great experience. Beautiful place. Great location. Beach access. I would recommend it for sure...but...Some things that would prevent us from coming back. 1. AC did not work well at all it was 91 on mothers day we were all dying (not really but would have been great if it was working well), ac was doing nothing but blowing air. Yes, we had everything closed up all day in hopes it would help the AC 2. I had to spend about 20 minutes climbing on the bed and cleaning the ceiling fan. It hadn't been cleaned in years it was completely caked in dust. It's nice and clean now. I used about 10-15 Clorox wipes. 3. Most of the windows don't have screens so if you leave any windows open at night and have lights on you will get a million little bugs on the ceiling. Honestly loved our stay but some things worth noting. Thank You!

Silk Purse

Beautiful views, fabulous beach access, close to activities, and lots of sleeping spaces! Would recommend kitchen be better stocked with food prep items (had to go buy a blender to prepare soups), and king bed in the master. The oven was dirty, mold in the washing machine, and very dusty. Overall, great stay!

Great beach house with many locations to have your own space.

House is currently a work in progress but still very clean. The third floor was converted to a queen sweet. The house offers many great seating areas. Great for a vacation with the family. We all love being around each other but it is always great to have your own space. Beach access was great. We stayed during a huge storm, so it was nice being higher up while watching the giant waves roll in. Will definitely be back.

Great family vacation

What a great location for a family location. Our weather (heavy fog) didn’t dampen our trip a bit. We joked that it only made it more exclusive. After the heat we had the few days before at our previous location it was nice to remember how much the ocean cools that down. Fun to watch the surfers. Location includes a surf shop, a fabulous breakfast place and a great coffee shop on the weekend. Us mid-westerns aren’t always used to going out for coffee so we were surprised there was no coffee or filters here but other than that the kitchen was very well stocked.

Family Fun

Our extended family had a wonderful time at the Silk Purse! It's right on the beach, had plenty of room for my parents, my sibling's family, and my family. They are adding an additional bathroom which will be even better. Very convenient location, too.

Perfect Location, Needs Some TLC

There could not be a more perfect location than this home. Sits up high enough to have incredible views of the ocean up and down this awesome beach. Stairs to the beach are very manageable and allowed barefoot access to the sand with no problems. The views from the main living area and two large bedrooms are incredible. Sadly, the property is showing some serious wear and is in need of some serious TLC. We were informed just days before arrival that one of the tub/showers might be unusable. With a group of 12 spending a lot of time at the beach, that was a huge problem. We made it work, in spite of the fact that there was no signage or other notice that there was a problem. Calls to the property manager got us mixed messages about whether or not the problem was fixed or would be fixed during our stay. Furthermore, the doorknob on the one good bathroom wouldn't lock, which made things extra exciting. Walls need a good scrub-down in many areas. Smoke detectors (as mentioned in many reviews) were going off every time we cooked/boiled something on the stove. Exterior doors/doorknobs are all a little difficult to open/close/lock. Several windows have no screens, meaning we ended up with moths in the house if we tried to open windows for fresh air. The kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances and laundry area was great. There has obviously been some remodeling/changes made since the pictures posted here as doors/bedrooms no longer match what you see. There are no vanities in bedrooms on 2nd floor. In fact both of those rooms have now been made into one bigger room with no sink/bathroom facilities right now. This house has great possibilities and we would be willing to stay again if we knew they had addressed some of the issues and given it a good cleaning.
