Boutique Beach House-Walk to Top Surf Spots, restaurants and local shops

Light, bright, clean and airy main living space with open concept kitchen, dining room, living room and flex space with a daybed that turns into twin trundles. There is immediate access through oversized patio doors to a private backyard with a table, BBQ and ample play space or spend some time catching rays. Check out the outdoor surfboard shower. Great for an after beach rinse off.
The kitchen is a cooks dream and has a gas stove, oven, microwave, oversized sink with disposal, dishwasher, fridge and wine fridge. Beautiful quartz countertops and stylish backsplash set this kitchen apart.
The living room, dining room and flex space have plenty of room for game nights or relaxing after a full morning at the beach. There is even an outdoor, surfboard shower so you can wash all the sand off outside!
The first bedroom has a king size bed, spacious his and hers closets, and a gorgeous master ensuite bathroom with an extra large shower with a rain head and handheld as well as his and hers vanities.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a large spacious closet.

There is a main bathroom for the unit with cool black and white tiles and a bathtub with shower perfect for relaxing in or bathing the kids. There is also a large storage room with in unit, free laundry (both washer and dryer).

Fell Short
We booked this VRBO for a birthday weekend getaway with four guests, but unfortunately, our stay fell short of our expectations. Our first surprise was that the listing didn't disclose that we would have to climb stairs to enter the residence, which was an inconvenience. Then we were greeted with a dirty residence. - beds were poorly made; found hair throughout the bedding and stains on the comforter. Floors were not vacuumed; sand throughout the house and cereal under the bed. Countertops and dining chairs were not cleaned. Found a comb in the couch cushions, and the bathroom towels were still damp. To make matters worse, we spent the entire first evening cleaning the place ourselves and purchasing new items to try and make the best of our stay. The bed in the Master bedroom was not comfortable. On a positive note; the bathrooms and the backyard were nice. Also Allison was responsive and apologetic to our concerns and did refund our cleaning deposit. In the future, we hope our concerns are addressed for future guests.

This is a great location for me because my families live nearby. Easy access to the beach. Plenty of great dining spots in walking distance. A few items were missing from my long (30+ day) stay: salt, pepper, sugar, facial tissues. Beds proved to be a big concern as neither worked for me, though perhaps a personal choice. For a month-long stay, this was my only major issue.

Fantastic set up for family of 5!

The property was well appointed, clean, and nicely located. The guide to hot spots and restaurants the owner put together was great. We tried many of the suggestion and enjoyed each on of them. Great Beach House
We appreciated the location which is a 5-10 minute walk to two beaches. There is a small fresh fruit and other food market a two minute walk about and the proximity to Encinitas shops and restaurants is also great. We had a wonderful family vacation.

My husband and I just love North County San Diego and can’t wait to welcome you to our beach property. I am a San Diego native, but have also lived all over North America. I am so glad to be back home and enjoy all San Diego has to offer. We have two young boys and love to travel ourselves, so we are very aware of what it means to make a family comfortable. When we travel we love to eat our way through each city, tour any historic sites, and spend time outdoors!

Why they chose this property

This property is in a fabulous location-walking distance to beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, bars etc which is a rare find in North County. Historic Hwy 101 is 3min walk and biking down the California coast couldn’t be easier from this location. You are an easy drive from the airport, to many theme parks including LEGOLAND, the Zoo, Sea World, even Disneyland
