It has 10 beautiful acres of woods to wander on crisscrossing paths. Unplug and enjoy its large inspiring kitchen and lofty spaces stocked with albums, movies, books, art supplies, and instruments. It is a short 10-minute drive to outdoor adventures on the Delaware River and Sullivan county's hot spots including Narrowsburg, Callicoon, Bethel Woods Arts Center, Skinners Falls, gambling in Monticello and so much more. Enjoy antiquing, fishing, hunting, tubing, rafting, gambling, skiing, farmers markets - or do nothing but relax on the deck and wander in our delightful woods with a stream that never ceases to delight.

Peace and quiet at the Upper Delaware
We enjoyed a lovely few days in a peaceful well equipped cabin. Our dogs enjoyed exploring the beautiful surrounds, especially the creek. We enjoyed exploring the local hamlets, great breweries and food. Chris was a responsive host. We would highly recommend and looking forward to staying again when we are back in the region.

Perfect birthday weekend get away
My friends and I stayed at this perfect woodsy retreat for my 28th birthday and had so much fun. The kitchen is perfect for cooking big meals and everything you need is available. It was cozy and warm for our winter stay, but I look forward to booking again in the spring and summer. Chris is an excellent host and was very communicative!

Beautiful winter time scene from the large windows . Warm and relaxing. Place was clean upon arrival. Coffee maker works!!! Chris is a very responsive host. Plenty of games and music on site. Couch is for slumbering. So comfortable. Highly recommend. Winter or summer.

Suited our family perfectly!
We travelled with our one year old, and found the place well set up for traveling with a baby. The downstairs bedroom has curtains, and was dark enough for nap time. The house came equipped with a pack and play, as well as a booster seat style high chair that has a tray attachment. The backyard was great for the little one to play. The house itself was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with many comfortable details. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the physical media available. It made it very easy to unplug. The surrounding woods were pristine, we were treated to deer sightings and a clear view of the stars. it is the perfect setting for a relaxing escape!

All that you need!
All is provided for a fun time! This house has everything you need and more. We enjoyed the selection of records and cassettes, The smart fridge’s water filter and ice are not necessary for a stay in the woods but was a nice touch. When it comes to location, everything seems about 15 away and easy to get to. The owner responds quickly…there really is nothing bad to say about this home. Thank you for shairing it with us!

Amazing Time
The property was exactly what we needed to escape the city and celebrate our Anniversary! There were so many great features from the fire pit and BBQ, to an assortment of card and board games, and a huge smart TV to keep up with our shows! The rooms were so comfy and stunning views! We saw deer every morning while drinking coffee on the deck! Can't wait to revisit! Definitely recommend!!!

We loved our family getaway. The house was very clean and felt like home. The location was convenient for the things we wanted to do. Kids loved exploring and adults loved relaxing on the deck. Wish it was closer to Texas so we didn’t have to drive so far! Great family vacation with grands.

Perfect Home-away-from-home for enjoying nature, exploring, unwinding!
House is very inviting, very homey, with modern appliances. Great layout, just settle right in comfortably. Everything one could need is here for a great getaway, we didn't leave the property for 3 days! Exploring the woods and listening/seeing nature, cooking, sleeping late is what it's all about. There's activities to do in the house, and ample property to flop around on. The Host is very pleasant and will accommodate you with local info if you like exploring the local areas. If you like a spot not too far off the beaten path, this is a fine place for a couple, small family or group of friends to retreat to for an extended weekend. Thanks again!

Peaceful retreat
It’s a nice house surrounded by woods and ferns. We enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and the host was good at communicating with us both in advance and during our stay. Unfortunately we were there during a heat wave, with prolonged extremely high temperatures unusual for the area/season, and one of the bedrooms was too hot to sleep in (air conditioner unit is in the living area & didn’t reach that room). However, that was the fault of the heat-dome weather & not the house. The house was equipped with everything we needed and we appreciated being able to bring our pets.

Why they chose this property

I was introduced to this area by a friend from college whose family owns nearby, and I fell in love visiting through the 90s. I eventually bought a home built by hand by a friend of that family. I love enjoying the wildlife, stream and woods on the property, and I love being near Skinner's Falls, Narrowsburg and Callicoon. You can enjoy all the peace of nature, and still get a dose of culture and fine dining as needed. There is a thriving foodie/locavore scene including wonderful farmers markets that will inspire you in the kitchen. I never get tired of being here, there is always more to explore.

What makes this property unique

I love this home because it is modern and lofty, yet cozy and comfortable. I love the wraparound deck with forest views. The home is private in the midst of acres of woods filled with wildlife, and a pretty little stream that is different every day of the year. An old grown-over quarry road crosses the property for easy hikes to the stream, and gives a sense of the area's history. For all this remote privacy, I am still 5-15 minutes away from all of Sullivan County's hot spots including excellent restaurants, farmers markets, antiques and more. The original Woodstock happened just 10 minutes away in Bethel, home of the Bethel Woods Art Centre. The house will inspire you to unplug and enjoy books, make art, make music, cook, read and reflect.
