A huge shout out to the Quarterdeck - absolutely surpassed all expectations - location perfect - Wooli Wooli cafe - the beach was amazing - planning a return trip in November 2024
This was a perfect little get away. Quick to get back to me about any questions I had regarding our booking and accommodation and checked in on us through out our stay.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was great we were able to bring the dogs.
Such an amazing, quiet apartment with all the trimmings. The fully stocked kitchen, bikes and kayaks made for a stay that the entire family enjoyed. Right next to the river, beach and bike tracks this little place oozes charm and relaxation. Rod and Cathy made the check in process simple and easy. Thank you, we will be back :)
Great location. A little pricey for an older style apartment. Lovely little town locals friendly and the local cafe was impressive friendly staff, great vibe and delicious food.
Ultimate beach shack meters from the beach and river
We were pleasantly surprised with our first stay in Wooli. The Quarterdeck was positioned perfectly, walking distance to the beach and river and bowling club which has cheap drinks and great Chinese restaurant.
We made great use of the bikes and kayaks during our short stay.
The outdoor private shower was a great touch.
Having the barn doors open and the French doors open really let use hear and breathe the ocean air. Amazing place and cant wait to get back.

A wonderful surprise
Great property for groups and families, loved the kitchen spaces and the private courtyards. The pictures don't capture how clever these spaces are. The facilities are well maintained and well presented. We would highly recommend.

Our family has holidayed in Wooli for over a decade. When the opportunity came up for Cath and I to purchase this small block of holiday apartments we grabbed it. We have spent a lot of time in Wooli, and have become very passionate about this village. Wooli has a calm ambiance that resonates with us. We have two children and they have had many adventures here. As a family, we swim in the surf, frolic in the river and tidal lagoon, take boat trips up the river, ride our bikes up to the sea wall, watch out for dolphins and whales, keenly identify the myriad of birds we see, star gaze, watch the moon rise over the water, the sun set, shower outdoors, marvel at other fauna that crosses our paths and appreciate the soothing ambiance that Wooli imbues. We have also have been involved in the dune restoration work that has made an amazing impact on the stability of this ecosystem. And we aim to continue to contribute to Wooli. We enjoy meeting new people and hearing about the great times our guests have had while holidaying at Blue River Apartments. The stories we really like to hear are the ones about children's firsts: first fish caught, first solo ride, first wave surfed, and the delight in our guest’s eyes as they relate these stories. These bring back memories of our children’s firsts and one of the reasons we fell in love with this village.

Why they chose this property
One of the main reasons we purchased this small block of holiday apartments was that we could the the potential of the property but also the opportunity to extend the Quarterdeck apartment out into the adjoining shed. This was no ordinary shed though and had been transported to the site by the original owners some 40 years ago. It was an old locomotive shed originally constructed Circa 100 years ago to shelter the locomotive engines used to haul the mahogany logs down out of the old mahogany forests deep in the great dividing range forests up behind Grafton. This shed had character with massive white mahogany beams , red mahogany vertical weather boards and hardwood trusses complete with giant steel brackets and plates. This place was dripping in character and history. We visualized instantly the opportunity to restore and expose these historic timbers as a backdrop for a stunning living space nestled behind the sand dune's of Wooli beach.
What makes this property unique
The question that remained to be answered was how best to utilize this addition space. We decided to join to the existing Quarterdeck apartment and reconfigure the room layout to retain an efficient use of the living areas. Caths family are all foodies and for us the kitchen is the hub of family life. A place where friends and family come together to share the days story's and events with food and laughter. We decided to make this historic space a large gourmet eat in kitchen that will bring laughter and joy to these old timber walls.
