The apartment has two sunny double room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The spacious kitchen in the Azorean style and the bathroom are located on the upper floors at.
From the balcony on the west side there is a magnificent view over the bay with the island's capital Ponta Delgada.
There is an orchard with banana, orange lemon and fig trees. In the flower garden by
West you can enjoy the balmy evenings Azores.
In about 3 km away is the small fishing village of Agua de Pau and the small fishing port of Caloura with rocky beach and close to sandy beaches and romantic bays.
Shopping for daily needs are here in Agua de Pau, just as restaurants and pizzerias.
In Lagoa, about 15-min. eliminator, there is a large super-
market with an extensive range.

Top Lage um die Insel zu erkunden. Es ist ruhig und sauber und wer Aktion braucht kommt von da aus sehr gut hin.

Sehr gute Lage

Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Man ist alleine in einer sehr großen Wohnung. Es ist aber nicht nur das Haus alt, sondern auch das Mobiliar.

The old house has a lovely atmosphere, surrounded by fields and with sea view and beautiful sunsets. It’s a short drive from beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. The hosts were very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful old house in a lovely location

Beautiful old house in a lovely location with easy access to both sides of the island. The pictures don't do the house justice, it was much larger than we expected with high ceilings and tall windows, all of the latter with beautiful views. Peter was very welcoming and the language barrier wasn't too much of a problem (we don't speak german or portugese).

Urlaub in einem ehrwürdigen Haus mit Charakter

Wir waren 12 Tage in diesem alt-ehrwürdigen Haus zu Gast. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben alle unsere Fragen beantwortet und sich viel Zeit für uns genommen. Wir saßen einige Abende zusammen, was sehr angenehm war. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung passt vom Stil her gut zum Alter dieses Hauses mit Charakter. Die antiken Möbel strahlen Behaglichkeit aus. Wer nicht in einer Null-Acht-Fünfzehn Ferienwohnung sein möchte und die Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Die Wohnung ist separat begehbar und wirklich sehr groß. Man ist hier völlig für sich und hat völlige Ruhe. In der Küche steht ein Gasherd, den wir aber nur ein Mal benutzt haben. Daher können wir sagen, dass der Herd einwandfrei funktioniert. Einen Geschirrspüler gibt es nicht, was aber für uns kein Problem war. Ebenso gibt es keinen Whirpool, wie das bei der Ausstattung der Unterkunft angegeben wurde. Dies sollte korrigiert werden. Den Strand kann man von der Unterkunft aus nicht erreichen, da das Haus auf einer Anhöhe steht und es zum Meer steil nach unten geht. Man hat aber einen herrlichen Blick auf den Atlantik und auf Ponta Delgada, was besonders am Abend, wenn in Ponta die Lichter angehen, sehr schön ist. In klaren Nächten sieht man einen wunderschönen Sternenhimmel. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden diese Ferienwohnung jederzeit wieder buchen.

10 Tage bei Familie Otte

Wir haben die Tage bei Familie Otte genossen und uns wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung bietet ausreichend Platz und es ist alles erforderliche vorhanden. Sehr schön empfanden wir die alten Holzdielen und den großzügigen Flurbereich. Die Wohnung würden wir unseren besten Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Erholung auf der Sonnenseite der Insel

Ein charaktervolles altehrwürdiges Haus mit starken Wänden und hohen Decken mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf den Atlantik und die Bucht vor Ponta Delgada erwarteten uns. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Touren in die Berge und entlang der Südküste. Wir genossen auch die Stille und die Erholung am Haus und auf der Terrasse.

Séjour d'un mois à "Grota Funda"

Nous sommes tout de suite tombés sous le charme de cette magnifique propriété à la campagne. A notre arrivée, nous avons été agréablement surpris par les dimensions de l'appartement qui, sur les photos, n'apparaît pas aussi spacieux qu'en réalité. Séjour très agréable dans un cadre champêtre. Le vaste jardin bien soigné présente de nombreuses essences exotiques. Nous avons aussi apprécié la gentillesse des propriétaires.

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft

Sehr sehr schöne Wohnung in einem alten wunderbar hergerichteten Haus bei Peter und Margit. Wir haben super Tips bekommen, wo man essen kann und welche Stellen, es sich anzuschauen lohnt. Der Tip, bei "Moby Dick" eine Tour mit dem Schiff zu buchen war prima!! Viel Platz und alles, was man braucht. Küche gut ausgestattet, sogar ein paar Gewürze und Öl waren vorhanden, falls man kochen möchte. Schöne Aussicht vom Balkon auf den Atlantik. Auto wird definitiv benötigt, um einzukaufen und um die auf der Insel verteilten Wanderungen und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen.

Une belle maison ancienne au milieu de la nature

Une maison ancienne dont le caractère a été préservé, disposant des avantages de la vie actuelle. Belles et grandes chambres lumineuses avec parquet ancien, grande cuisine avec tout le nécessaire, salle d’eau agréable. Toutes les pièces, situées en étage, sont claires et offrent des vues plaisantes, ici sur des champs peuplés de vaches paisibles, là sur l’océan et sur Ponta Delgada avec ses lumières le soir. La maison est d’un grand calme, retirée de la route, de toute façon peu circulante, les seuls sons sont ceux des oiseaux. Les propriétaires, qui habitent à côté, dans un bâtiment formant une annexe, sont charmants et discrets, le fait qu’ils ne parlent que l’allemand n’est pas un problème, Peter nous a montré les divers points pratiques à l’arrivée et, quand nécessaire, a utilisé la traduction orale d’un smartphone. Dans la petite ville proche, Água de Pau, un restaurant simple et populaire au bon rapport qualité-prix, et un personnel jeune et aimable, juste à côté de l’église, Paraiso Mileno. À Lagoa, un restaurant aux plats variés et originaux, d’un prix convenable, dans un bâtiment de style moderniste, Paladares da Quinta. Nous sommes allés deux fois dans chacun. Pour les courses, Continente à Lagoa, un peu vieillot, et, à 12 minutes par la 4-voies, un Pingo Doce récent et bien achalandé à l’entrée de Vila Franca do Campo. La belle et champêtre maison où nous avons passé une semaine est idéalement située, avec les commerces utiles à proximité, des restaurants, outre ceux ici indiqués, et les routes pour les divers lieux importants de l’île. Un grand merci à nos hôtes pour nous avoir ainsi permis ce séjour agréable.

Traumhafte Wohnung in azoreanischem Landhaus

Die große und liebevoll ausgestattete Wohnung bei den beiden herzlichen und überaus freundlichen Gastgeber*innen war für uns der ideale Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Mitten im saftigen Grün haben wir die Ruhe dieses wundervollen Ortes sehr genossen. Vielen Dank an Peter und Margit.

Entspannung mit schönem Blick

Ganz besonders haben wir den Blick vom Westbalkon abends genossen, Sternenhimmel, die Lichter von Ponta Delgada, und dazu das Konzert der Sturmtaucher. Das schöne, alte Haus liegt verkehrsgünstig und hat einen wunderbar angelegten Garten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Proprietà grande in un giardino meraviglioso. Pace assoluta,si sentono solo i rumori della Natura.Appartamento molto spazioso e dotato di tutto il necessario. Host molto disponibili. La signora è venuta a prenderci nel cuore della notte perché non riuscivamo a trovare la casa. Raccomandato.

Wunderschöner Urlaub mit der Familie

Wir waren im Juli für 18 Tage auf Sao Miguel. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass es ein toller und entspannter Urlaub war. FeWo: Liebevoll eingerichtet, sauber, entsprechend der Beschreibung, es war alles da, was man braucht Gastgeber: Nett, freundlich, unaufdringlich, man konnte alles fragen Urlaubsort: tolle Insel, wunderschöne Natur, man kann schöne Wanderung unternehmen, im Meer baden, tolle Wellen am Barbarastrand, der nur 15 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt ist, Mietwagen unbedingt empfehlenswert Kann die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen!!!! Danke an Margit und Peter, die uns sehr nette Gastgeber waren!

Unheimlich schön; mitten im Grünen; volle Erholung

Absolutely will come back here

Thank you a lot to Peter Otte for all you have prepared and helped for our felt-home-and-special since the very first day-stay in this beautiful house with the fascinating garden, gigantic views on the seaside and with beautifully arranged and curated flowers, plants &even a rooster and 2 hens!!! Our little one loved these, as well as the garden and kitchen play possibilities and Mr. Otte‘s kindness as well as we did! And the house, already being decades old (and worked on) and displaying that with nice collections of pictures and old, beautiful furniture e.g with whales‘ tails on these have also made our stay so special and that we want to definitely return exactly to this place where we often didn’t want to go away before 10:30 a.m. as we felt truly well! Also having breakfast and dinner in the garden at a wooden table was a great pleasure, and being told by Peter Otte e.g. what the history and infrastructure of the house and surroundings was in former times and getting recommendations from him where to eat super good sea food! Hoping to come back even next year, dear Mr. Otte we say thank you very very much, again!

Best rental house EVER

best rental house ever. the house is much better than it looks in the photos. we were 4 friends (architects) and we had the entire first floor of the house, three huge bedrooms with ocean views, a terrace and a beautiful kitchen. the garden is wonderful, it consists of several "rooms" outdoors with fantastic trees. we grilled fish in the garden (peter gave us a perfect barbecue). Peter is a marvelous person, available and polyglot (more or less), he is really nice and friendly. it was an unforgettable stay, we will definitely be back. Thanks Peter.

Ferienwohnung mit Charakter

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und entspricht der Beschreibung. Der Vermieter ist sehr aufmerksam und hat uns am ersten Morgen mit Frühstück versorgt sowie mit frischen Eiern versorgt. Hierfür vielen Dank! Das Haus liegt auf einem sehr schönen Grundstück und ist idealer Ausgangspunkte auf der Insel. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir können die Wohnung empfehlen.

Dieses Haus ist etwas ganz besonderes!

Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gibt alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und man hat viel Platz, um sich auszubreiten. Hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht und man merkt deutlich, wieviel Liebe in das Haus und den Garten gesteckt wurde. Die Wohnung selbst ist rustikal eingerichtet, was hervorragend zum schön restaurierten Haus passt. Der Empfang von Herr Otte war sehr freundlich und er war immer vor Ort, wenn man Fragen hatte und hatte viele Tipps parat für die Insel. Ein besonderes Schmankerl war die kleine private Führung von Herrn Otte zu den "hauseigenen" Klippen! Das Ferienhaus ist ideal gelegen, um die Insel zu erkunden, nah am Hotspot Ponta Delgada (keine 20Min zum Flughafen) und trotzdem komplett ruhig gelegen inklusive Meerblick! Auch alle anderen Ausflugspunkte, sei es ganz im Süden Sete Cidades oder im Norden der Leuchtturm von Nordeste sind unter einer Stunde erreicht. Der empfehlenswerte Strand St. Barbara auf der gegenüberliegende Seite ist ebenfalls in 20Min zu erreichen. Alles in allem ist die Wohnung und der Gastgeber uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und hat uns einen tadellosen Aufenthalt beschert. Wir wünschen Herr Otte und seiner Familie alles Gute für die Zukunft!

Größzügiges Ferienhaus in schöner Umgebung

Schön renoviertes altes Gebäude und viel Grün drum rum, viel Platz in der Wohnung. Ausstattung ok. Totale Ruhe. Ein TV ist nicht vorhanden, man muss sich über WLAN mit online Angeboten begnügen (was bei den idiotischen deutschen Sendern nur eingeschränkt funktioniert), wünschenswert wären auch 2 bequeme Stühle/Liegen, um Garten und Terrasse besser nutzen zu können. Wir würden das Ferienhaus jederzeit wieder besuchen.
