Built in 1905 the Post Office was run by the Lehane/Coughlan Family until it closed in 1994. The property has been completely restored keeping all the original unique features of the Tudor architecture intact while adding all the comforts and conveniences of modern living. The Old Post Office is a 5 minute drive to the heritage and tourist town of Lismore, Tallow and Ballyduff villiage famous for its salmon fishing in the River Blackwater. It is also close to Youghal, Fermoy and Dungarvan.

prachtig mooi een nieuw huis

Zeer goed ontvangen en een schitterend huis. Bij de nonnen op het terrein die 's avonds klokslag 20.30 de poort op slot doen. (gelukkig nog een eigen ingang;>). Wij hebben genoten.

Großartig!

Ein wunderschönes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtetet. Bernadette ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles sehr unkompliziert und eine tolle Ausgangslage für Ausflüge nach Lismore, Ardmore, Cobh, Cork.... traumhaftest Irland!

Great start of our Ireland round trip

This was the first stop of our Ireland trip. We stayed with our family of five and we loved the place. Close to Lismore and only a one hour drive from Cork. The hospitality of Bernadette was superb. The family that owns the fully renovated Old Post. Office lives only 5m away and the supported ud when needed. We will definetly come back when returning to Ireland.

Wonderful vacation home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a week at the Old Post Office Glencairn! Bernadette and Paul are lovely and helped us rescue a poor injured kitten! An eventful stay! Beautifully restored home with all the needed amenities! Thank you!

Perfect spot!

This is the perfect vacation spot for launching day trips! Bernadette is a fabulous host and we loved the PO. We are planning our return. I could not recommend a property more!

Lovely quiet location

We loved staying in the quiet of the old post office. The home was just as advertised and my daughters loved the huge old fashioned tub! Out in the country but a country drive to Waterford or Cork. We loved our stay. — Paul
