This stunning log cabin was built in 1851 in Arkansas. The logs were carefully numbered, taken down and rebuilt at Wolf Creek Guest Ranch, in the Tx Hill Country just outside of Fredericksburg. With an added bathroom, kitchenette, porch and private patio you will be very comfortable and love being here! This cabin is so private and quiet you will think you are really remote, while being very close to both Fredericksburg and Kerrville. 1851 cabin has a huge stone fireplace for you to enjoy on chilly nights. This ranch has plenty of wildlife and birds to keep you looking outside for what you might see next. Wolf Creek is a working horse ranch and home to Kerri April, a Happy Horse Happy Life Master Horsemanship Instructor. We have a pony pasture for you to interact with the ranch miniature horses, Moonshine and Smokey along with the petting goats, Goaty and Rosie. Enjoy your private outdoor patio with a charcoal grill for a bbq. We also have an outdoor swimming pool, shared with our other guests, an outdoor fire pit and walking trails to the catch and release fishing pond. Nights are beautiful here with a magnificent night sky. The stars are stunning and seem so close that you could reach out and touch them.

I enjoyed the scenery and the old fashion home and especially the fireplace. I will recommend to friends and family and im already looking forward to staying there again.
Couldn't have picked a better place. From the scenery to the cabin we stayed in was perfect. The only problem is my envy of Kerri and her ranch!! Thanks again for being so welcoming.
Fabulous location and a great lodge. Kerri so easy to deal with and helpful. We had the most calm and tranquil few days but also so easy to get to Frederiksburg, a very cool town with awesome food options. Thanks Kerri, really hope to be back some day
The 1851 Cabin was beyond my expectations! It was a great step back in time in the absolute best way. Every night I fell asleep thinking about how it would be to live in that time period.
I 100% would return to this amazing property. The check-in/check-out process was smooth and easy. Communication with the host was top notch. They are so sweet and caring. We were there during the most recent freeze and their concern for our warmth and comfort/ safety in the cold was heartwarming. We had everything we needed throughout our stay from toiletries, to kitchen needs, to blankets and puzzles and books. We slept in the loft bed because the mattress was more comfortable and the sheets and blankets were soft and snuggly. I slept better than I have in a long time.
The cabin itself and the property were soul healing and magical. I was in the need for a quiet getaway after an emotional holidays and this cabin offered us the privacy and solice I was needing, well except from the sweet nosey horses that came to check on us as we were grilling our dinner and were there in the morning/afternoon to greet us a good day. There's always something healing about the way a horse can look into your soul. The stars were magnificent. Bring firewood, the wood burning fireplace was the icing on the cake.
The terrain is a bit rocky so this may not be the place for people who struggle with stairs or uneven gravel. But other than that, there is no reason why you should not book this cabin or any other the ones on this property. If its available, just book it, you wont be disappointed.
The property is very well kept, the cabin is so cozy! Conveniently located between many wineries. The absolute most peaceful sleep you'll ever get. Amazing views and comfort!
We enjoyed our stay in this historic cabin. It was like stepping back in time but with all the modern conveniences. Great front porch for spending time with family. The fireplace was an added bonus as well as the array of livestock to pet and love on. The mattress was a little firm for my liking but overall it was a great place to stay. There is a great winery a couple miles south. I’d definitely recommended this cabin if you are looking for peace & quiet in a central location.
I love it , and it looks just like the pictures so I was happy about that no, it was very clean and so cozy and the manager was really great at getting back to you about questions or concerns, will definitely be coming back.
This cozy little cabin in the hill country of Texas was just what we needed for rest and rejuvenation. The stars! The quiet! The peaceful surroundings! The gentle little goats to brush and pet! All wonderful! And, all within driving distance of phenomenon wineries and great cowboy boots!
My family and I enjoyed a short hiatus here, seeking a quiet weekend getaway convenient to Fredericksburg and Kerrville. The cabin was comfortable, quiet and fine for our short stay. The kitchenette is small, but we made ample use of it and the grill to cook several meals. The sweet goats and horses made our trip all the more enjoyable! Kerri was quick to respond. Stay here!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and quiet! It was just what we needed to relax and unwind from the business of our lives for a few days!
The stay was wonderful. In the woods, but not too far from Fredericksburg Main St. You have your own petting zoo right outside the door. Host was very accommodating.
Perfect & Extravagant Place to Stay for Anniversary...
Fantastic from start to finish. Ambient and Log Cabin 1851 from the moment you enter the gates to driving uphill, you have an incredible view of farm animals and downhill a beautiful lake. So very peaceful, and our experience in the 1851 Log Cabin and its historical theme was gorgeous & unique. I recommend 100% for anniversaries and couples looking for an escape from the city. each structure and history on these cabins are genuinely mind-blowing. I love it and will return the ones...
Thank you, Kerri, for the hospitality ...
We loved sitting on the back porch in the rockers. So quiet, it has lights on the porch. We listened to our music even danced some. If you want to get away from everything, TV etc this small cabin is for you!
