The house is very well appointed including a large gourmet kitchen with comercial oven and cooktop. The master bedroom is located on the upper level with bathroom including bathtub, kitchen, living areas, huge deck the width of the house and a smaller private deck to the rear. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub, laundry, and again a huge covered deck.

Features: 4 bedrooms ( 1 queen, 1 double, 3 singles, 1 trundle) 2 bathrooms, bathtub for the kids, TV, DVD Player, microwave, dishwasher, clothes dryer, ceiling fans, carport. Please note that this property is not fenced.

Linen supplied and beds made for arrival.

Great Spot, Well Equipped but Fans Needed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is very well equipped in terms of bedding/kitchen etc. And is in a great location with nice gardens/lawn. It is extremely hot in summer though, with no fans in upstairs deck or living area. Ceiling fans would go a long way and make it more liveable. Also, downstairs hedge is getting very high, blocking breeze to the deck. Needs to be trimmed. I also don't think the floors had been properly cleaned nor bathrooms properly cleaned in a while.

The house was ok, but we’ll in need of lots of maintenance. Ok for a cheaper rental.

Close to everything at Pint Lookout. Plenty of room. Clean & tidy. Just needs some fixing up. Doors down slide, fly screens mostly broken, no wifi. No issues for our stay though.

Seen better days

A comfortable house with great verandas to enjoy the tree tops and view. However mosquitoes were a problem inside - some screen doors don’t close properly and the open louvres high in the ceiling are not screened. A venitian was completely mangled and hanging like a bunch if rubble around the top of a window. Several other things gave the overall impression of a place in need of some maintenance. The 9am check out is unusually early and made the last morning rushed.

Pros: -location -parking -lots of bedrooms -deck space and common space is nice -close to beach Cons: -not clean - dust everywhere, spiders in every corner and ceiling, dirty dishes in cupboard -no hand washing soap in bathrooms -no wifi -not enough blankets for cold evenings -hot water goes from lava to chilly and back again for the duration of use - makes the 4min recommended shower length impossible -no dishcloths -all the bug screens have holes and are pulled out of track Needs love but has potential.

Pre-Xmas stay at Blue Poles

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite some initial concerns regarding cleanliness of the property, we ended up really enjoying our stay at Blue Poles at Point Lookout. The property is well positioned at the 'beach end' of Tramican Street. Everything worked and there were a couple of nice touches, such as the hot & cold outdoor shower and the provision of some staples to get you started (including salt & pepper - always great to provide!). I'd say the property would benefit from a deep clean once or twice a year to keep on top of the spiderwebs. Also, with all the money paid from renters, it would be so nice to invest in a new couch for the living room. The old one's covers were ripped to shreds! Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay and my family (including our doggie) really enjoyed it. We love Straddie!

Close to retirement, two couples and a Finn

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We normally use a caravan at Adder Rock, but this time tried a house. With the rainy weather we were glad to be in a house. We enjoyed the location and the upstairs verandah. Aspects of the house needed maintenance, but overall pleasant. We visited the bowls club several times for barefoot bowls, night activities as it was daggy and in walking distance. Just being on the island is always enjoyable.

Lovely Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was light and airy with an amazing full length deck. The maintenance on the property is VERY poor. Many lights don’t work, vanities are old and peeling and the oven was not heating at all (both top and bottom elements) which was disappointing as we had brought our own food across to self cater. Also the hot water system alternated between hot and cold whilst showering which was not great. So overall a lovely house but not maintained well.

Great location - not too far from the beach and a bit of a view of the ocean. It could do with a bit of a better clean and better pillows (they were all paper thin)! Overall though, we loved it and would come back though. We loved relaxing on the balcony, having a BBQ, walking to the beach, and making the most of straddie!

Each bedroom opens to a large verandah, large enough for small children to play safely. Kitchen is large and fully equipped and the combined lounge and dining room has ample space for everyone. We had a wonderful holiday here Christmas 2021, and would book again in the future.
