A great apartment with several small things wrong
A roomy, 3-bedroom apartment with a living room, dining room and small kitchenette. It was as advertised, nice, clean, central location, coffee.
With all this going for it, there were several small inconveniences that knocks it down to “ok”. First, toilet paper cannot be flushed; this is bad enough but add to this difficulty in discarding trash, 2 blocks away to a dumpster, that happened to be padlocked in our case (there should be an on-site can/dumpster available).
Both showers are smaller with no doors causing a lot of water to splatter on bathroom floor; the lack of exhaust fans causes a lot of steam; also, no racks/hooks to hang wet towels.
The washing machine is fantastic, but no where to hang wet laundry (needs a drying rack).
The smallest bedroom (with 2 twin beds) lacks shelving/dresser to unpack suitcases; this bedroom had issues with the a/c unit.
The sofa and chairs in the living room are not comfortable.
I’m sure there a few other items, but these are the bigger ones.
WiFi is sub-par, spotty, slow.
This could be a 5-star place, a lot going for it, but many little inconveniences add up to bring it down to an average place to stay.
Also, keep in mind items that are outside the owner’s control… it is a city, with city noise around the clock, on the 4th floor, old building with winding stairs, very small elevator. Expected, given the location, but wanted to mention as it was part of a city experience!
I would stay there again, with lower expectations
