Cozy cottage overlooking Seneca Lake. Had everything we need in good location. Overall though a little pricy for late October but since splitting cost with another couple was manageable.
We spent most of a week here during a gorgeous autumn. Most of the time was spent hiking, visiting local wineries and cideries, plus a memorable trip to the Corning Museum of Glass. The hosts were friendly and available. The house was perfect for 2 couples.
Paul and Betsy’s cottage was the best place we e stayed in 12 yrs of coming to the FLX. Comfortable spaces, amazing dock and fire pit area and great views on the deck. Perfect location to hot spots like Lucky Hare and Scale House. Would love to stay again.
Met friends here for a long wine and football weekend. Could not have found a better location. The view from the deck, the firepit by the lake, it was all so enjoyable!
We felt so welcome from the minute we walked in.
There is so much to see nearby, we are looking forward to coming back and exploring more!
This cottage was just the right size for our family. We enjoyed the view from the deck. It was very close to the rest of our other family for our reunion.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't that nice, rainy and overcast until the day we left. Sun came up the last morning and we all wanted to stay longer.
But this was a great place to stay. Roomy and clean.. close to multiple wineries and the other places we visited.
the other places we visited.ot us to visit.
I would only stay at this rental when I return to the Finger Lakes. Everything we needed was provide and inside is perfect, but the deck, both at the top of the cliff, and also at the bottom right on the lake are worth it all! Got to see beautiful sunsets from the deck. And great location to everything in the area - wineries, shopping, dining, water sports and boating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was quiet and relaxing. The house was clean and welcoming. The views of the lake were breathtaking - especially the sunsets. We had great weather to enjoy the kayaks and canoe that were available. We can't wait to visit again next year.
The house was perfect and had everything we needed! The view is wonderful and going down to the lakefront was so nice and peaceful. We felt very welcomed! The location is also wonderful. So close to so many great wineries, breweries and restaurants! Already looking forward to coming back and staying here again!
The place was great, beautiful lake views, only complaint would be the amount of bugs inside and out, but, the home is in the woods, can’t really help that, but for 3 city girls it was a little much! I would stay again!
The host was extremely easy to communicate with, check in and out was seamless. The bottle of wine left for us was a thoughtful touch! Beautiful view of lake from the house. Lots of fun places to explore in the area!
Fabulous place! Secluded with a gorgeous view of the lake. Near all the wineries. Quiet, serene escape from the city. All the conveniences of home. Lovely hosts with great communication. We'll return again and again.

Great location and great views of Seneca Lake
Property is well maintained and equipped with amenities for a country home...
We loved this house and it's proximity to lots of great attractions (Watkins Glen, Corning Glass Museum, Robert Treman State Park, Ithica/Cornell Botanical Gardens, and tons of wineries. The house was comfortable, with beautiful views of the lake.
Great place to stay! Although we are not wine drinkers the country side and vinyards were beautiful. We went to see a few waterfalls that were spectacular!
It was cloudy the whole time we were there so sunshine would have been appreciated.
Maybe have some kind of freshener in the house, would have helped the oders.
Perched high above the lake with lovely view and secluded beach. We had a lovely stay and no problems.

We totally enjoyed our visit. So quiet, peaceful. The view of the lake was amazing. Had plenty of room for the 3 of us and the kitchen was well stocked. Thank you for the bottle of wine, it was a nice surprise!

About the host
Hosted by Elisabeth Smith, Paul DeLaney
We love our Seneca Lake adventures and have been vacationing at the cottage next door to the Cliff House for many years with our children and grandchildren. We are pleased to share this beautiful place with you and hope you will enjoy being our guests at Cliff House.
Why they chose this property
Cliff House was built in 1956 on property belonging to my grandparents. In fact, Cliff House sits on farmland that has been in my family for five generations. Seneca people first inhabited this land and built a village nearby. On a quiet night, legend claims, you can hear the drums of the Seneca across the water.
What makes this property unique
The view from the deck takes our breath away and we feel at peace; a perfect place for morning coffee, yoga or sipping wine.
