About this property

Lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath country house on 70 acre horse farm. Fully fenced and gated property with above ground pool, 2 person hot tub, gourmet kitchen on working horse farm . We are located 11 miles from Saratoga Springs and 30 minutes to Lake George. We have great hiking on our property and on Spruce Mountain, biking and kyacking nearby. We offer 2 queen beds, a twin, double fouton couch and air matress.

Great family retreat!

Stephen’s place is perfect for a family get away! It is more spacious than it appears in the photos and has everything you need for your stay. We traveled with 4 kids and they had a blast swimming in the pool, saying good morning to the horses each day and going on some nearby hikes. The property is picturesque and relaxing and Stephen is very fast at answering questions and providing information. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful setting but no closet or drawer space.

This is a pretty home on a gorgeous piece of property with 2 beautiful horses in the pasture outside the kitchen / dining area. The pool is surrounded by pots of flowers - very inviting. However, our stay was marred by the owners’ clothes stuffed into every closet and drawer. Not an inch of space for renters. I’ve rented many homes from owners, and I have never had this issue. Always there are drawers provided for renters and space in the closet to hang some shirts, dresses, trousers. I’m a pretty flexible person, but none of us (2 couples) enjoyed living out of suitcases for the week. I did receive a welcome message on the VRBO app, from the owner, but when I noted our surprise at finding no place for our clothes, he ignored my comment. That left me feeling he didn’t much care. A different answer might have eased our annoyance. Also, in one bedroom the bed was a few inches from the wall, not allowing the person on that side of the bed a way to get out. I am a grandmother and my days of gymnastics are over! My husband and I pushed the bed away from the wall with difficulty as it’s very heavy. One of our group has a dust allergy, and found that there was dust behind the bed in her room (blue) that was causing it. Also, if you are a grandparent, each room on the first floor has a step up or down as you enter. That’s not a criticism, just a warning if you’re over 65. All that said, the house is comfortable, has plenty of light, and basically we enjoyed the space. If our issues are not yours, you’ll be happy there. We felt we were close enough to Saratoga and appreciated the country setting. I think the problems I raised are pretty easy to solve, if the owner is interested in doing so.
