Kilmarlic Couples Cottage is located only 10 miles from the Outer Banks' breathtaking beaches and 2 miles to the H2OBX Waterpark, the Kilmarlic Golf Club sits among 605 acres of maritime forest and sprawling wetlands.

Kilmarlic was chosen to host the North Carolina Open in both 2004 and 2009. It was also recently named as a Top 100 Course You Can Play in North Carolina by Golf Styles Magazine.

Cheap Sheets that Shred, Worn out pots and pan! Unexpected people walking in on you at the property!

It was just a terrible terrible stay. The sheets were so cheap that when you sleep on them they shed! You wake up with white lint all over you! The pots and pans are OLD DIRTY AND CHEAP. The shower curtain is so dirty the ends are red. The mattresses are so uncomfortable my whole body hurts. Coaches are old, dinning table is shaky. They provide no brooms no Vaccum no mops. No toilet bowl cleaner brush. RANDOM PEOPLE WALK IN ON YOU! when checking in I went to 3 houses with the help of customer service before I found the correct one. Stay here if you wish, but I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemies.

Great stay!

OUR Experience on our first trip to the Outer Banks

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: LONG REVIEW, FELT ALL WAS NECESSARYStay overall-good, in good shape, good location. We easily drove everywhere we planned. Cleaning, not so much. Spider webs inside hung from pendant lites over kitchen island; dead insects on flr under stairs (it needed sweeping/vacuuming); hairs in bathroom vanity/on door; ALL REPORTED TO RENTAL MGMT AGENCY (RMA). Place appeared unused for awhile. Main entry/porch overtaken w/spiders & webs. Worse @ night; we left porch lite on to see entry. Porch ceiling/windows/door were covered w/spiders & webs ea time we returned; difficult to enter, especially w/kids & seeing FAT spiders & all of the webs.RMA staff was helpful somewhat. Everyone was friendly, personable, etc., & most issues I wrote/called about after arriving were taken care of. 1 of the MAIN ISSUES (privacy coverings for ALL windows/DOORS) was NOT resolved during our stay. Day B4 we left, window coverings in boxes were left on front porch (nothing large enough for patio door); but never installed.Brian came quickly/same day I reported issues & resolved some things (spider/web issues that returned nitely, disconnected/fallen staircase metal bars, brought blender, hangers for closets). I was told B4 arrival blender/hangers were there. Brian was quite helpful/friendly; educated us on spider situation (seasonal).Most DISAPPOINTING thing was window issues existed for quite some time (prior reviews I read B4 booking)& no one took care of it. I would think that RMA duties include visits to rentals to fix legit issues ID’d in customer reviews B4 next renters. Items I emailed/asked about B4 our stay that were said to be taken care of; MOST of them weren’t. Not sure how RMA determined issues I asked about were resolved, clearly no one actually visited the place to actually confirm, deny &/or fix prior to responding to my email inquiries. FYI: Only 1 nightstand per bedroom; no other storage (dresser/chest in loft only) to unpack luggage. Both bedrooms h

Couples Cottage Kilmarnic

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Liked the cottage but there were a lot of “blind mosquitoes” on the doors and on the ceilings that had not been cleaned off. The kitchen was adequate but not really well stocked for cooking. Just found the forks that I thought were lacking and knives on the last day which were in a third shelf of dishwasher which I did not realize was there. Like the contactless checkin. Very efficient. Next time would pick a cottage where back deck was in shade late afternoon. Cottage could use a few chairs on front porch.

Beautiful stay at Peter Parkers

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great overall location. Clean inside, nicely kept. Just the right amount of space and bed for a dad and 4 kids. Not far from Kittyhawk. Only gripe was the outdoor entrance. First night, noticed (I counted) the 25 dime sized spiders. Every night. Uts inevitable but maybe spray to not scare guests. It was every night. If someone was afraid of spiders, they wouldn't of entered. But stay was great. Definitely would recommend and would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property was well kept. Our only problem was the spiders outside the door. It was more than we were prepared for. We brought bug-spray as suggested however the spiders were overwhelming the porch and entry way. We even asked to have the porch power washed but to no avail before our departure. This was the only downside. I would still come back and rent at the Kilmarlic Cottages.

no oven mitts. ignitor did not work on our grill or any of the grills on the property, and no lighters, so had to improvise by lighting a paper towel off of the broiler in the oven to create a torch to light grill. simple basics like salt and pepper, cooking spray, etc... would be nice for people like us that flew into the area. if we drove, we could have brought those things. but overall a great little place. also, a couple putters and wedge irons would be nice to include so we could have used the par 3's and putting greens.

Powell Point cottage

The cottage location faced a noisy, high traffic, 4-lane highway. Cars and trucks were traveling between 50 - 65 mph. This loud traffic noise was non-stop and lasted past midnight or so every night. The traffic noise would picked up again very, very early in the morning. Hard to sleep under those conditions ... even with ear plugs. Curious does the property management company test their properties for the noise levels? I would not recommend this property for this reason and therefore gave a overall rating of 2 stars.

The Couples Cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at The Couples cottage for three nights. It was a very nice, newer cottage with comfortable furniture. It was nice having a full kitchen and laundry. It was clean, too. It was fun to have the green in the backyard to play on. Our main complaint is that the kitchen barely had any dishes, silverware/knives, and utensils. There were only enough place settings for four people.
