Murray stay at the Mickelson cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was enjoyable as this was our second time staying at Kilmarlic. These units are gorgeous and fit our family, perfectly. We did notice, there was no broom. The exhaust in the common area bathroom did not work, several door handles were loose and the fridge/oce maker was inoperable. Your company is aware of the fridge and, I left a note for the housekeepers about the other stuff. One suggestion I would make is to install some sort of shade or vertical blind on the houses where the sun shines straight in, it can be blinding. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will be back.

Mickelson Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice cottage when it was built, but it is not being maintained. Furniture was broken and soiled. Door handles were loose. Spiral staircase was missing the safety bars on the steps, and some were loose or had fallen off. For the price and the 3 night minimum the place was a dump. The realty company was useless when I called them. Not helpful at all on check in day.

Nice but....

We did enjoy our stay at this location. At this location. It was pretty easy to get to many different places in the outer banks. Although we were a little disappointed on the amenities that were supposedly associated with this rental. But after we got to it, we found out they were not offered. I was supposed to have a welcome basket with extra toilet paper, paper towels, etc but was never given this. Communication with the rental company was pretty good via text message and phone.

Mickelson Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was fine with a couple of very minor exceptions. It would be much better if there were blinds or window treatments on the patio door and the window beside it as well as the loft. The water pressure in the showers could use a boost. The water in the master bathroom sink did not get hot.Access to the Westside Athletic Club was excellent and appreciated.The biggest problem we had was that check-in time was given as 4PM and we planned our travel accordingly. Then when we are almost done with a 6+ hour drive we get a text that check-in time was actually 6PM. That should have been better communicated and at a much earlier time. Also, that is an extremely late check-in time, I've never seen one anywhere close to that late before.

Great place and excellent fitness centre

Place was new, well designed and well appointed. The pool it has access to is excellent and the staff there were truly friendly. We told the property manager that the bbq was broken and they replaced it with a new one right away. I recommend this place for a family vacation, especially if u like golf.

Cute cottage

Upon entry, the cottage was exceptionally clean. The A/C was much needed & did not disappoint. Located about 60 yards from Rt. 158, there is constant traffic noise. Cold water out of the faucets was closer to lukewarm. Beach Realty was very hospitable, installing a new propane tank for the grill in a timely fashion. Kitchen could use a fruit bowl, collander, large platter, and some baking pans.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is adorable and comfortable, however it seems a best fit for men there to golf, rather than a family. We planned on doing lots of cooking during our stay, but the kitchen was so barely stocked, that we had to go to the store to buy tools and serving dishes! Bring your own pots and a good knife. They have lots of Dollr store knives that couldn’t even cut a strawberry straight. One of the homes was even missing a broom...Beach Realty was not easy to work with either. They were unbending with refunds during the covid pandemic and since we missed out on our water park tickets, they won’t let us redeem them at a later date. That is not customer service.
