This cottage has it all and is located on the first road up from the lake. There is a partial lake view from the large front deck which gets sun until mid day, if you still want to soak up more sun with out leaving the cottage you can move around to the more private rear deck.
The mainfloor has two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bathroom with glass enclosed shower. The loft has a king bed and a small sitting area that has a great view out the picture windows to the lake. There is also a neat kid themed room with two twin beds, kids chairs and a Smart TV for the kids to watch.
The main floor has a nice open layout, with two bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining rooms. The kitchen has high end stainless appliances, quartz counter tops and is fully equipped with all the dishes, cookware, and utensils you could need, including espresso machine, drip coffee maker and blender. The dining room has a large table that comfortably seats 6 people, there is a leaf and two extra chairs if seats for 8 is needed. The kitchen bar has seating for two on stools.
The living room has a gas fireplace for those cooler fall and spring evenings, there is also a 47" Smart TV, DVD player / Stereo with BT hookup. The stereo has built in speakers both inside and on the front deck with separate zone controls, so you can put the kids to bed and keep the music playing on the front deck and enjoy a drink or two.
The front deck has great sun in the morning, with lake views. There is a Webber 4 burner BBQ so you won't run out of grilling space. There is a six person sitting area around a large fire table and a dining table for six on the front deck.
The two bedrooms on the main floor both have queen beds with closets, along with french doors (with black-out blinds) that open up to the more private rear deck which gets sun in the afternoon. One of the unique features of this cottage is that there is an elevated walkway that feeds around to the rear deck from the front door so you don't have to walk through the bedrooms. The rear deck has a couple of chairs and a coffee table, along with a convertible sofa / day bed.
Downstairs is a flex room as well as access to the garage, where the laundry is. In the flex room there are a couple small couches, a 42" TV, electric fireplace, some kids toys and a kids table and chairs. One of the nice features of this cottage is the internal staircase from the main floor to the ground floor, which allows this extra living space. Also this allows you to leave your pool or lake stuff in the garage to keep the upstairs and decks less cluttered, and you can leave out the garage. Or if your more into motorsports when you get back form riding the trails on your bike, ATV or SxS, you can drop your riding gear in the garage and just walk right up stairs. There are also 2 sit on kayaks and boogie boards available for use as well.
During the summer you will have full access to the garage to keep bikes, water toys, atv's, etc secure dry and out of your way. During the winter there is a boat that takes up part of the garage.
We have a young family of our own and have tried to make our cottage as family friendly as possible, there are kids plates etc in the kitchen, a high chair, booster seat, pack and play, some kids toys, kids size table and chairs, baby gates for the two staircases if needed, and even 4 kids deck chairs.
La Casa is an amazing resort with lots to offer every different age group. There are two heated pools, three hot tubs (the pools and hot tubs are open May-October, with one hot tub open on long weekends in the winter months) tennis, mini golf, kids playground and aqua-park. Down by the water there are fire pits that can be used as long as there is no fire ban on.
You won't run out of great Wineries to visit as there about 14 with in an hours drive of LaCasa.
There is OHV access right from the resort so you don't have to trailer or truck your bike, quad, or SxS to the Bear Creek OHV trail network which has hundreds of KM of trails that run around Terrance Mountain. At the top of Terrace Mountain there is an amazing 360* view of the Okanagan.
During the winter you can get to both Big White and Silver Star in a little over an hour.
