The Gulf Shores Plantation is a 524 unit complex that has separate, low-density condo buildings throughout the resort and offers a family-friendly gated neighborhood. Gulf Shores Plantation 1369 is a privately owned, efficiency condo suite with a loft and offers a fun, nautical decor throughout. The living area features soaring ceilings with tons of windows and natural light, a sleeping alcove with a queen bed, a queen sleeper sofa and a television, plus access to the 3rd floor private balcony. This space also has a small bistro style table that seats two people comfortably and offers seating for four. The kitchen is small but features most all appliances and utensils you would need to cook meals for you and your guests while on vacation. A fun spiral staircase takes you to the spacious loft which offers another queen size bed and a television. The shared bathroom in this condo is a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo. For convenience, a coin-operated laundry facility is on-site in each building of the resort.

Gulf Shores Plantation offers a wide variety of resort amenities, such as multiple outdoor swimming pools, fun sports courts like basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis courts. Plus, you can enjoy family games and activities such as shuffleboard, a putting green, a horseshoe throwing pit and a barbecue area. Soak your cares away in the outdoor hot tub at the end of a long beach day. This resort also offers an on-site cafe and is right next door to the award winning Kiva Dunes golf course!

Gulf Shores Plantation is located in one of the most peaceful areas of the island, where locals and visitors alike can enjoy a laid-back atmosphere and slower pace of living. The resort is located just a few miles away from The Beach Club where you can pamper yourself at the The Beach Club Spa & Salon or enjoy a meal at Coast Restaurant. Just down the road you can enjoy natural areas like Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, which features several walking trails where you can view local wildlife, native coastal plants, and even endangered species like the Alabama Beach Mouse, the Kemp’s Ridley loggerhead and other sea turtles. The refuge is known as a popular bird watching spot, especially during migratory season. Historic Fort Morgan is situated at the terminus point of Fort Morgan Road and offers visitors a chance to learn about many key historic points, including the fort’s important role in the 1864 Battle of Mobile Bay. Explore the fort, walk its natural areas, enjoy a picnic on the grounds, visit their gift shop and on-site museum, play on the beaches and take advantage of the boat launch if you wish. You can even hop a ferry ride on the Mobile Bay Ferry to visit to nearby Dauphin Island and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.

Overall a good vacation, despite some issues…
When we arrived, the guard didn’t know what building to direct us to. “One of those over there with the blue roof, I think” was as much help as we got. Finally found our condo after about 30 minutes. Was left a note in the kitchen that said we had access to building 4’s fitness room and hot tub, but the keycard wasn’t left for us. Realty Company (Young’s Suncoast) supposedly called and told the guards our situation and we were assured they’d let us in. Upon asking the guards about this, they were clueless & said we could not get in. Incredibly frustrating. Doubt seriously we will stay here again.

Amazing time.
This was a great condo. I was working on a budget and this fit. Really needed 2 bathrooms with 4 adults but we made it work. Short walk to the amazing beach. And had everything we needed in the kitchen. Will definitely stay on this property again!!

It’s tiny
Just know that this is a small property. It’s comfortable. The beds were comfortable. Maneuvering around the room is tough because of a staircase in the middle of the kitchen .

Family Vacation 2019
Nice condo. Remote to TV didn’t work well. Needs a deep cleaning. We enjoyed our stay at this condo. I recommend more than four towels, four face cloths, and one hand towel be available for a 7 night stay.
